     In 1911 Ivy was living at 4 Underdown Cottages, Wincheap Street, Canterbury, Kent^G, in the household of her parents Ernest and Rosetta, and was recorded in the census as Ivy Martha Sackett, aged five.⁴
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Ivy was a domestic servant in the household of a Rowe family at 36 Fore Street, Newquay, Cornwall^G.⁵

John Henry Sackett, son of William Sackett and Mary Ann Jackson, was born in Romford, Essex^G, in February 1906.¹ He married in Toronto, York County, Ontario, Canada^G, on 11 May 1927, Rosaleen Irlis Smale, daughter of Roan Smale and Mary Morgan.² Rosaleen was born in Wales^G about 1908.³

     In 1921 he was living at Elmer, Pinner Road, Harrow, Middlesex^G, in the household of his parents Harry and Charlotte, and was recorded as Harry Hewitt Sackett, aged 14.⁶
     Harry returned from South Africa, arriving in London from Cape Town on 27 January 1927 on the Llanstephan Castle. His UK address was 46 Bath Road, Harrow-on-the-Hill. He was then a 20-year-old student. As his last permanent residence was given as South Africa, it would appear he had spent some time there. He intended to become permanently resident in England.⁷
     Harry's widow Eileen was granted administration on 18 March 1943 of his father Harry's estate, valued at £157.⁸

     As a young man, Stanley was a merchant seaman, serving for 18 months from 1926 to 1928 as an apprentice on ships on a route from Liverpool, England, to Brazil and New York. He was listed as third officer on a crew list of a ship sailing from Immingham, England, to New York in 1941/42, but the entry was struck through, leaving a doubt that he made the journey.^{12,13,14,15,16}
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Stanley was an insurance agent, living at 145 Elm Drive, Harrow, Middlesex^G, with his wife Muriel. Stanley's mother Charlotte was living with them.¹⁷

Alfred Arthur Sackett, son of Alfred Arthur Sackett and Jane Louisa Townshend, was born in Warrington, Lancashire^G, on 24 March 1908.^1,2 He died aged 72 in Braintree, Essex^G, in 1980.³ He married first in West Ham, Essex^G, in 1934, Florence Ivy Styles, daughter of ___ Merrington.^4,5 Florence was born in West Ham^G on 7 May 1910^7,2 and died aged 33 in Essex^G in 1943.⁸ He married second in East Ham, Essex^G, in 1944, Violet Sarah Whyberd, daughter of ___ Whyberd and ___ Harper.⁶ Violet was born in Stepney, London^G, on 7 January 1901^9,2 and died aged 92 in Braintree^G on 24 November 1993.^10,11
