George Thomas Sackett, son of Frederick Sackett and Mary Culmer, was born in Lambeth, SurreyG, on 20 July 18441 and baptized at St John the Evangelist, LambethG, on 11 August 1844.2 He died aged 63 in Dover, KentG, in 1908.3 He married at St Luke, Bermondsey, SurreyG, on 25 December 1865, Margaret Still, daughter of John Henry Still.4,5,6,7 She was born in BermondseyG about 18358 and died aged 83 in DoverG in 1918.9
     In 1851 George was living at Barley Mow Brewery, Wyldes Rents, Bermondsey, SurreyG, in the household of his parents Frederick and Mary, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, a scholar, aged six and born in Lambeth.10

Ellen Mary Sackett, daughter of Frederick John Lenham Sackett and Emma Hagell, was born in Margate, KentG, in 18672,3 and baptized at Holy Trinity Church, MargateG, on 6 October 1867.4 She died aged 85 in Thanet, KentG, in 1952.5 She was unmarried.

John Sackett, mariner, was born in Garlinge, Margate, KentG, in 1785.1,2 His parents have not been identified. He died aged 80 in MargateG in 18663,4 and was buried at Zion Chapel, MargateG, on 3 April 1866.3 He married at St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 9 May 1811, Sarah Tucker.5 She was born about 1780.2 She died aged 68 in ThanetG,6 and was buried at St John in ThanetG on 17 February 1848.7
     A record for John in the 1841 census has not been found. He may have been at sea. His wife Sarah, 60+, and daughter Elizabeth, 15+, were living in St John in ThanetG.8
     John Sackett, then of Margate, was issued a merchant seaman's ticket on 4 January 1845. He worked as a seaman on voyages in 1845, 1846, and 1851. The detailed record reveals that he was literate, 5' 8¼" in height, had light brown hair, a fair complexion, and light blue eyes. He had first gone to sea as an apprentice in 1802.9
     In 1851 John was living at 68 High Street, St John's, Margate, KentG, and was recorded in the census as John Sackett, a mariner, head of household, a widower, aged 66, and born in Garlinge, Kent. Living with him was his unmarried daughter Elizabeth, aged 29.10
     In 1861 he was living at 128 High Street, MargateG, and was recorded as John Sackett, a mariner, head of household, a widower, aged 75, and born in Margate. Living with him was his unmarried daughter Elizabeth, aged 38.11
