Jesse Sackett Sr, possibly a son of Reuben Sackett, was born, presumably in VermontG in say 1770. He married say 1790, ___ ___.
Jesse was listed as Jesse Sacket Senr in the 1830 census as a householder in Logan, Dearborn County, IndianaG.1
Reuben's son Enoch was also in Logan in 1830, suggesting that Jesse Sackett Sr and Enoch may have been brothers. No other record for this Jesse Sackett has been found. He is assumed to have been the father of Jesse Sackett who was in nearby Lawrenceburg in 1830.

Elijah Sackett, probably a son of Enoch Sackett and Rachel ___, was born in New York StateG about 1802.1 He died probably in IndianaG, before 1860.2 He married before 1850, Charlotte Ann Phelps.3 Charlotte was born in New York StateG about 1823.1 She died aged 73 in Shelby County, IndianaG, on 5 April 1897.4
In 1850 Elijah was living in Logan, Dearborn County, IndianaG, and was recorded in the census as Elijah Sacket, a cooper, aged 48 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Charlotte, 36, and her children, Wentworth, 10, Margaret, 6, William, 5, Mary, 3, and Sarah, aged one. The youngest child, Sarah, stated on her marriage record that her parents were Delaney Sackett and Charlotte Phelps. Delaney and Charlotte were married in 1838 and it is therefore assumed that these were all children of Delaney.5
In 1860 Charlotte, aged 35, was living in Washington, Decatur County, IndianaG. Her children, William, 15, Sarah, 10, and Joseph, aged six, were living with her. William and Sarah would have been children of Charlotte's first marriage (to Delaney) and it is assumed that Joseph was Elijah's child.6
In 1880 Charlotte, a widow aged 56, was living in Cloverdale, Putnam County, IndianaG, in the household of her son William and daughter-in-law Emma.7
