Elizabeth Ann Fittell, daughter of Edward Fittell and Elizabeth Sackett, was born in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 14 July 17691 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 6 August 1769.1 She died aged about 48 in 1817.2 She married at St John in Thanet, KentG, on 18 December 1794, Nicholas Pegden.3 After Elizabeth's death, Nicholas married Elizabeth Newman, and their daughter Louise was to marry Edward Sackett in 1843.2

Eliza Bayly, daughter of Stephen Bayly and Sarah Sackett, was born in Eastry, KentG, in 1841.1 She married in Eastry, KentG, in 1865, David Hughes.2,3 David was, at the time of their marriage, a draper's assistant in Liverpool. Soon after their marriage, he set up a grocery business in Northwich, Cheshire, possibly with the benefit of advice from Eliza's father, who was a grocer in Eastry.4
     In 1841 Eliza was living at Church Street, Eastry, KentG, in the household of her parents Stephen and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Eliza Bayly, aged one month and born in Kent.5
     In 1851 she was living at Church Street, RamsgateG, in the household of her parents Stephen and Sarah, and was recorded as Eliza Bayly, aged nine and born in Eastry.6

Herbert Hugh Hughes, son of David Hughes and Eliza Bayly, was born in Northwich, CheshireG, in 1872.1
     Herbert Hughes became company secretary to the Brunner Mond chemicals company which later (in 1926) merged with other British companies to form Imperial Chemical Industries. During his career there he removed from Cheshire to London.2

Martin Sackett was born say 1730. His parents have not been identified. He died in Childerditch, EssexG, and was buried there on 3 February 1785.2,3 He married at All Saints and St Faith, ChilderditchG, in 1756, Grace ___.1 After Martin's death, Grace married second, in ChilderditchG, on 3 November 1785, Henry Box, a widower.4 Grace was buried at ChilderditchG on 15 October 1800.5

     James was a witness to the marriage of Mary's sister Dinah to Charles Otley in 1788.
