Ernest Henry Sackett, railwayman, son of William Sackett and Rachel Link, was born in Canterbury, KentG, on 2 September 18741,2 and baptized at St Mildred Church, CanterburyG, on 1 November 1874.3 He died aged 87 in Ashford, KentG, in 1962.4 He married at St Mildred, Canterbury, KentG, on 29 November 1902, Rosetta Paine.5,6 Rosetta was born in Camden Town, LondonG, on 24 June 18727,2 and died aged 70 at Cudworth Road, Willesborough, AshfordG, on 22 August 1942.8,9

In 1921 he was living at 31 Cudworth Road, Willesborough, KentG, and was recorded as Ernest Henry Sackett, a railway wagon repairman, head of household, aged 46. Living with him were his wife Rosetta, 48, and their daughter Rosalie, aged 13.15
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Ernest and Rosetta were living at 31 Cudworth Road, AshfordG. Ernest was a metal assistant.16
Ernest was granted administration on 31 October 1942 of his wife Rosetta's estate, valued at £95.17

Herbert George Sackett, son of Herbert Sackett and Mary Jane Ashby, was born in Canterbury, KentG, on 4 June 19101 and baptized at St Mildred, CanterburyG, on 17 July 1910.2 He died aged 84 in Westminster, LondonG, in December 1994.3 He married in Bridge, KentG, in 1933, Bertha Florence Fraser Smith.4,5 Bertha was born in Maidstone, KentG, on 4 November 19116 and died aged 77 in CanterburyG in December 1988.7
In 1921 Herbert was living at 52 Wincheap Street, CanterburyG, in the household of his parents Herbert and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Herbert George Sackett, aged eleven and born in Canterbury.8
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Herbert and Bertha were living at 48 Athelstan Road, CanterburyG. Herbert was employed by the Municipal Health Authority as a labourer.9
