Ellen Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Jane Bax, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1856^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 11 May 1856.² She died aged 83 in Chelsea, London^G, in 1939³ and was buried at Brompton Cemetery, London^G.⁵ She married at Ebenezer Chapel, Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 11 September 1881, Vincent William Miles, son of Vincent Miles and Martha ___.^4,5 Vincent was born in Margate, Kent^G, about 1857⁶ and baptized at St John in Thanet^G on 11 April 1858.⁷ He died aged 46 at St George Hanover Square, London^G, in 1904.⁸
     In 1861 Ellen was living at 7 Brick Lane, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her parents Edward and Jane, and was recorded in the census as Ellen Sackett, a scholar, aged five, and born in St Peter's.⁹

Alice Ann Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Jane Bax, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1858^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 12 May 1858.¹ She married at St George, Ivychurch, Kent^G, on 5 November 1882, Herbert Edwards.^3,4 Herbert was born in Snargate, Kent^G, about 1861.⁵

     In 1891 she was living at Gravel Shoot, Barham, Kent^G, in the household of her husband Herbert Edwards, 29, an engine driver, and was recorded as Alice H Edwards, aged 32. Living with them were their children, Esther, 7, Herbert, 5, and Alice, aged two.⁹

Margaret Emma Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Jane Bax, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1861¹ and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 12 January 1862.² She married at St John in Thanet, Kent^G, on 17 September 1887, Richard Paine, a miller, son of Stephen Thomas Paine.^3,4 He was born about 1859.⁵

     In 1881 she was living at Updown House, Margate^G, in the household of Charles and Sarah Cottee, and was recorded as Margaret Sackett, domestic servant, unmarried, aged 19.⁷

Jane Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Jane Bax, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 7 May 1864^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 12 June 1864.¹ She married in Thanet^G in 1885, Walter Henry Ladd.^3,4
     In 1871 Jane was living at 1 Blackstone Cottages, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, and was recorded in the census as Jane Sackett, a scholar, aged 7 and born in St Peter's, daughter of Edward Sackett.⁵

Frank Edward Sackett, son of Edward Brewer Sackett and Jane Bax, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 10 October 1868^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 15 November 1868.¹ He died aged 39 in St Peter in Thanet^G in 1907.³ He married at St Pauls' Church, Cliftonville, Margate, Kent^G, on 11 October 1902, Ellen Marion Stedall, daughter of James Henry Stedall.^4,5,6 Ellen was born at Margate^G about 1871⁷ and died age 79 in Thornton Heath, Surrey^G, on 7 August 1950.^8,9
     In 1871 Frank was living at 1 Blackstone Cottages, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, and was recorded in the census as Frank Sackett, aged two and born in St Peter's, son of Edward Sackett.¹⁰
     In 1881 he was living at 7 Victoria Road, St Peter's, Kent^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Jane, and was recorded as Frank Sackett, a scholar, aged 12 and born in Ramsgate.¹¹
     Frank served in the Royal Highland Regiment (the Black Watch) for 12 years from 28 October 1890. He was promoted sergeant in 1897. He served in Gibraltar, Egypt, Mauritius, India, and South Africa (twice). He fought in the Second Boer War and was severely wounded at the Battle of Magersfontein in December 1899.¹²
     In 1911 Frank's widow Ellen was living at 19 Walpole Road, Margate, Kent^G, and was recorded in the census as Ellen Sackett, a lodging house keeper, head of household, a widow aged 40 and born in Margate. Living with her were her children, Frances, 7, and Edward, aged three.¹³
     In 1921 she was living at 19 Walpole Road, Margate^G, and was recorded as Ellen Marion Sackett, a widow, head of household, aged 57. living with her were her children, Frances Ellen, 17, and Edward, aged 13. Also in the household were her uncle, George Yeomanson, 67, and brother, Charles Stedall, 39.¹⁴
