Alfred Sackett, son of Alfred Sackett and Ellen Burns, was born in Fulham, LondonG, on 26 September 1919.1,2 He died aged 58 in Watford, HertfordshireG, in 1978.3 He married at Chelsea, LondonG, in 1947, Rosaline Ada Wakefield, daughter of Charles M Wakefield and Minnie Lane.4,5 Rosaline was born in ChelseaG on 12 February 19236,2 and died aged about 55 in WatfordG in 1978.7
In 1921 Alfred was living at 50 Langford Road, FulhamG, in the household of his mother Ellen, and was recorded in the census as Alfred Sackett, aged one and born in London.8
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Alfred was living at 219A Stephendale Road, Fulham, LondonG, with his parents. He was a lift porter.9 His future wife Rosaline was a confectionary hand, living at 7 Chelsea Manor Buildings, Chelsea, LondonG, with her mother Minnie.10
