Edward Sackett, an ironmonger, son of John Sackett and Sarah Tucker, was born in Margate, KentG, in 18162 and baptized at St John in ThanetG on 21 April 1816.3 He died aged 68 at 31 Hare Street, Woolwich, KentG, on 22 April 18844,5 and was buried at Woolwich Cemetery, GreenwichG, on 29 April 1884.8 He married at St John in ThanetG on 27 July 1843, Louisa Pegden, daughter of Nicholas Pegden and Elizabeth Newman.6,7 Louisa was born in MargateG about 1822.6 She died aged 55 in WoolwichG on 24 March 18779 and was buried at Woolwich Cemetery, GreenwichG, on 29 March 1877.10
