     Edith left a will which was proved in Brighton, Sussex^G, on 16 October 1997.⁹

     In 1921 he was living at 226 Seely Road, Mitcham, Surrey^G, in the household of his mother Albina and stepfather James Barnes, and was recorded as Maurice Edmund Briquet Sackett, aged ten.⁵

Claude Leonard Alfred Sackett, son of Alfred Francis Sackett and Edith Emily Atkins, was born in Wandsworth, London^G, on 12 December 1910.^1,2 He died aged 36 in St Pancras, London^G, in 1946³ and was buried at St Pancras Cemetery^G on 2 April 1946.⁶ He married in Edmonton, Middlesex^G, in 1936, Lena Alma Pieri.^4,5 Lena was born on 15 June 1915.²
     In 1911 Claude was living at 224 Putney Bridge Road, High Street, Putney, Wandsworth, London^G, in the household of his parents Alfred and Edith, and was recorded in the census as Claude Lennard Alfred Sackett, aged less than one year and born in Putney.⁷
     In 1921 he was living at 76 Felsham Road, Wandsworth^G, in the household of his parents Alfred and Edith, and was recorded as Claud Leonard Alfred Sackett, aged ten.⁸
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Claude and Lena were living at 3 Carysfort Road, Hornsey, Middlesex^G. Claude was a chef and also a police reservist.⁹

Elsie Florence Emma Sackett, daughter of William Sackett and Florence Deverelll, was born in Shepherds Bush, London^G, on 6 January 1911.^1,2 She died aged 63 in Fulham, London^G, in 1974.³ She was unmarried.

     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Elsie was a draper's assistant, living at 13 Gransden Road, Hammersmith^G, with her parents.⁶
     Elsie proved her mother Florence's will on 30 January 1951. Her estate was valued at £2,065.⁷

Helen Margaret Sackett, daughter of Frank Gordon Sackett and Alice Harper, was born in West Ham, Essex^G, on 20 September 1911^1,2,3 and baptized at Woodford, Essex^G, on 26 November 1911.⁴ She died aged 79 in Chelmsford, Essex^G, in May 1991.⁵ She married in Hampstead, London^G, in 1942, John H Slater.^6,7

     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Helen, now known as Margaret, was living at 4 Middleton Grove, Islington, London^G. She was a private teacher, shorthand typist, and translator.⁹

Rose Sackett, daughter of George Edward Sackett and Katherine Annie "Kate" Cook, was born in Fulham, London^G, in 1912.¹ She married in Fulham^G in 1930, Richard C Whisken.^2,3

Rosetta Sackett, daughter of Robert John Sackett and Maria Mayne, was born in Manor Park, Essex^G, on 26 December 1911.^1,2,3 She died aged 67 in Stepney, London^G, in 1979.⁴ She married in West Ham^G in 1933, Alexander R Nye.^5,6 Alexander was born on 27 February 1913.⁷
     In 1921 Rosetta was living at 115 Walton Road, Manor Park, Essex^G, in the household of her parents Robert and Maria, and was recorded in the census as Rosetta Sackett, aged nine and born in Manor Park.⁸
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Alexander and Rosetta were living at 3 Colchester Avenue, East Ham, Essex^G. He was a bricklayer.⁷

Jennie L M Sackett, daughter of William Sackett and Mary Ann Jackson, was born in Romford, Essex^G, in 1912.¹

John Edward Sackett, sometimes known as Edward, son of Richard John Sackett and Alma Horwood, was born in West Ham, Essex^G, on 2 May 1912¹ and baptized at Harrow Green, Essex^G, on 5 June 1912.² He died aged 88 in Waltham Forest, London^G, in August 2000.³

     John joined the Amalgamated Society of Woodworkers at Forest Gate, London^G, on 3 September 1929.⁵
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, John was a carpenter, living at 56 Holloway Road, Leyton, Essex^G, with his parents Richard and Alma.⁶

Alan Edward Sackett, son of Alfred Sackett and Fanny Skelton, was born in Croydon, Surrey^G, on 20 July 1912^1,2 and baptized at St Mary's Church, Sanderstead, Surrey^G, on 20 October 1912.³ He married in Wallington, Surrey^G, in 1939, Katherina Leopoldine Lippert.^4,5,6,7
     In 1921 Alan was living at 83 Grant Road, Croydon, Surrey^G, in the household of his parents Alfred and Fanny, and was recorded in the census as Alan Sackett, aged eight and born in Croydon.⁸
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Alan was a commercial traveller, living at 49 Longlands Avenue, Carshalton, Surrey^G. A redacted name in the record was presumably that of his wife Katherina.⁹
     Alan and his mother Fanny proved Alan's father Alfred's will on 15 February 1950. His estate was valued at £1,599.¹⁰

Brenda Margaret Sackett, a librarian, daughter of Sidney Rupert Sackett and Eleanor W Birkett, was born in King's Lynn, Norfolk^G, on 23 August 1912^1,2 and died aged 79 in Deben, Suffolk^G, on 16 November 1991.^3,4 She was unmarried.
     In 1921 Brenda was living at White House, Orsett, Essex^G, and was recorded in the census as Brenda Margaret Sackett, aged eight and born in Kings Lynn, a visitor in the household of Elizabeth Powell.⁵
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Brenda was living at 74 London Road, Chelmsford, Essex^G, in the household of a Brown family. She was a librarian and indexer.⁶
     Brenda proved her mother Eleanor's will on 26 January 1956. Her estate was valued at £1,020.⁷
     Brenda visited South Africa, leaving London for Durban on 1 June 1957 on the Jagersfontein.⁸
     Administration of Brenda's estate was granted in Ipswich, Suffolk^G, on 1 October 1992.⁴

Ernest Edmund Sackett, son of ___ Sackett, was born in Islington, London^G, about 1885.¹ He died aged 71 in Pembroke, Wales^G,² and was buried at St John's Church, Pembroke Dock^G, on 12 November 1956.⁴ He married in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales^G, in 1908, Mary Elizabeth Butler.³ Mary was born in 1888.⁵ She died aged 79 in Pembroke^G,5,6 and was buried at St John's Church, Pembroke Dock^G, on 17 November 1967.⁷
     In 1891 Ernest was living at St Pancras School, Leavesden, Hertfordshire^G, and was recorded in the census as Ernest Sackett, an inmate, aged five and born in Islington, London.⁸ Also in the home were George Sackett, 3, and John Sackett, aged one, who were probably related. St Pancras School was a home and school for orphans and pauper children. It could take up to 400 boys and 250 girls. The boys were educated with a view to their becoming apprentices, many going into the army or navy as musicians. The girls were usually sent into domestic service.
     Ernest's parents have not been identified. Although the 1891 census records him as aged five and born in Islington, he could possibly be the same as Ernest Sackett born in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, in 1883, who has also not been identified.
     Ernest served in the British Army during the First World War in the Welsh Regiment. He was awarded the Victory Medal and the British Medal in recognition of active service in France from 19 January 1915. He was also awarded the 1915 Star. He was a Bandsman and later a Sergeant.^9,10
     In 1921 Ernest was serving in the 1st Battalion, Welch Regiment, at Upper Topa, Murree Hills (Kalabagh), Hazara District, North West Frontier Province, India^G. He was listed in the census as E Sackett, married, aged 34, a sergeant, born in London.¹¹

Vida May Sackett, daughter of Ernest Edmund Sackett and Mary Elizabeth Butler, was born in Pembroke, Wales^G, in 1912.¹ She married in Lucknow, Bengal, India^G, on 25 October 1928, Leo Fretwell, son of Arthur John Fretwell.² Leo was born about 1902.³

Rita L Sackett, daughter of Alfred Arthur Sackett and Jane Louisa Townshend, was born in Manor Park, Essex^G, in 1912.^1,2 She married in Romford, Essex^G, in 1933, Frederick T Labrum.^3,4

Eric Walter Sackett, bank official, son of Walter John Sackett and Charlotte Victoria Stewardson, was born in Hackney, London^G, on 25 December 1912.¹ He died aged 88 in Dorset^G in March 2001.² He married in Northumberland^G in 1942, Joyce Mary Wilson.^3,4 Joyce was born on 21 March 1921.⁵ She died aged 91 in Sussex^G on 9 February 2013.⁶
     In 1921 Eric was living at 95 Canterbury Road, Margate^G, in the household of his parents Walter and Charlotte, and was recorded in the census as Eric Walter Sackett, aged eight and born in Dalston.⁷
     Eric proved his father Walter's will on 24 July 1957. His estate was valued at £6,376.⁸
     Eric served a tour of duty in Pakistan for his bank in 1958/59. He and Joyce, with their two children, travelled from Liverpool for Karachi on 25 January 1958 on the Circassia and arrived back in Liverpool on 25 August 1959 on the Caledonia.⁹
     Eric was granted administration on 11 July 1958 of his mother Charlotte's estate, valued at £8,007.¹⁰
