     Benjamin was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in Sheffield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 27 August 1746.
     Benjamin served as a private soldier in the American Revolutionary War in the Albany County (New York) Militia.7,8,9

174. Benjamin Sacket, ____–___?, of Sheffield, Mass., Litchfield, Conn., and New Lebanon, N. Y., son of (37) Benjamin and Thankful King Sacket, was married, about 1761, to Miss Deborah Buell, daughter of Ebenezer Buell.
     A parchment deed, dated May 30, 1780, conveying 59 acres of land in the town of Goshen, Litchfield County, Conn., was, in 1905, in possession of Mr. Marvin Sackett, of Lebanon, N. Y. The grantor is Ebenezer Buell and the grantee Buell Sacket. The consideration clause reads, "given in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and do bear unto Buell Sacket, my grandson."
     William Buell, colonist, came to America prior to 1639 and settled at Windsor, Conn., where his oldest son, Samuel Buell, was born, Sept. 2, 1641, and was married, Nov. 30, 1662, to Deborah Griswold, daughter of Edward Griswold, Esq., of Killingsworth, Conn. John Buell, a son of said Samuel and his wife Deborah, was born Feb. 17, 1671, and was married, Nov. 20, 1695, to Mary Loomis, and they were the parents of Ebenezer Buell, the father-in-law of (174) Benjamin Sacket.

Entered service July 5, 1776, service 12 days, mileage out and home (190 miles) allowed said Sacket Company marched by order of Brig. Gen. Fellows. Also Capt. Spoor's Co., Col. Benjamin Simond's (Berkshire Co.) Regt; entered service Apr. 26, 1777, discharged May 20, 1777, service 25 days at Saratoga by order of General Gates. Capt. Enoch Noble's Co., entered service Oct. 21, 1777, service 60 days; Enlisted 3 months; company marched to Manchester, Va., thence to Stillwater, by order of Gen. Lincoln. Joined Col. John Ashley's (Berkshire Co.) Regt. and marched to Boltons Kilns and there served until regularly discharged.

     David Sacket served during the American Revolutionary War with Massachusetts State troops, seeing action in numerous battles, including Bunker Hill and Trenton.10
     In 1790 David was living in Blandford, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG. In his household were one white male (16+), two white males under 16, five white females, and one other free person.11 He was listed as a householder there in 1810.12 He was listed in the census in 1820 and 1830 as a householder in Denmark, OhioG.13,14
     David was assessed for tax in Denmark TownshipG from 1822 to 1838. He occupied 50 acres from 1822 to 1825, 130 acres from 1826 to 1834, 30 acres in 1835 and 1836, then 45 acres in 1837 and 1838. Numbers of taxable livestock varied, up to four horses and eleven cattle in 1834.15,16

Captain Adnah Sacket, son of Isaac Sacket and Elizabeth Shepard, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 5 December 17451,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 21 September 1746.4 He died aged 67 in WestfieldG on 25 April 1813.1,5 He married first in WestfieldG on 13 October 1767, Jerusha Pomeroy, daughter of Daniel Pomeroy and Rachel Moseley.1,6,7,8,9 Jerusha was born on 7 March 1746/47.9 She died aged 42 in WestfieldG on 14 December 1789.14,15 He married second at the First Church, WestfieldG, on 4 May 1790, Mercy Bush.10,11,12 She was born about 1759.14 She died aged 32 in WestfieldG on 21 April 179116,17 following the still births of twins on 16 April 1791.18 He married third in WestfieldG on 14 August 1791, Dorothy (___) Forward.10,13 She was born about 175219 and died aged 61 in WestfieldG on 2 May 1813.20
     Adnah served in the American Revolutionary War as a Lieutenant in his cousin Captain Daniel Sacket's Company of the Third Hampshire County Regiment.14,21
     In 1790 Adnah was living in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG. In his household were five white men, two white boys, four white females, and one other free person.22
     Adnah was listed in the census in 1800 and 1810 as a householder in WestfieldG.23,24

183. Lieut. Adnah Sackett, 1745–1813, of Westfield, Mass., son of (39) Isaac and Elisabeth Shepard Sacket, was married, Oct. 13, 1767, to Jerusha Pomeroy, 1746-1789, who was the mother of his eight children. On May 4, 1790, he was married to Mercy Bush, who died April 20, 1791, aged 32. His third wife was a Mrs. Fernard, of Southwick, Mass. He was an active participant in the War of the Revolution, and on Apr. 22, 1776, was commissioned First Lieut. of Capt. Daniel Sackett's Company of the Third Hampshire Co., Mass., Regiment, commanded by Col. John Moseley. A monument erected to his memory is yet standing in the historic but sadly neglected burial ground near Mechanic Street in Westfield, Mass. His wife, Jerusha Pomeroy, was the daughter of Lieut. Daniel Pomeroy and Rachel Mosely, of Northampton, Mass. Lieut. Daniel Pomeroy was slain at the battle of Lake George, Sept. 8, 1755. He was a brother of General Seth Pomeroy, who had an early command in the Patriot army and signalized himself by heroic service at the Battle of Bunker Hill, and on other fields of the Revolution. Zavan Sacket Sr, son of Isaac Sacket and Elizabeth Shepard, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 28 April 17511,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 2 September 1751.4 He died aged 89 in Crawford County, PennsylvaniaG, on 26 October 18405 and was buried at Greendale Cemetery, Meadville, Crawford CountyG.10 He married first in WestfieldG on 31 May 1778, Miriam Brooks.6,7,8 He married second in Southampton, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, on 6 February 1779, Abigail Bills.1,9 Abigail was born about 1759.11 She died aged 83 on 15 October 1842 and was buried at Greendale CemeteryG.12
     Zavan served as a private in the American Revolutionary War. In a 1801 tax list he was listed as Lt Zaven Sackett.10,13
     In 1790 Zavan was living in Norwich, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG. In his household were one man, five boys, and three females.14
     Zavan was assessed for State and Town taxes in Huntington (formerly Norwich)G from 1797 to 1815.15
     Zavan was listed in the census in 1800 and 1810 as a householder in Norwich, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG.16,17
     He removed from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania sometime between 1815 and 1820 and was listed in the census in 1820, 1830, and 1840 as a householder in Mead, Crawford CountyG.18,19,20
     He was listed in the 1841 census of Revolutionary War pensioners. At the reference date of 1 June 1840, he was living in Mead, Crawford CountyG, and, according to the record, was aged 91. He was actually 89.21
