Mary Ann Phoebe Sackett, daughter of William Sackett and Mary Ann Phoebe Lloyd, was born in Bethnal Green, Middlesex^G, on 21 August 1838¹ and baptized at St Philip's Church, Bethnal Green^G, on 17 October 1844.² She married in St Paul, Canonbury, Middlesex^G, on 12 September 1869, John Lovelock, son of William Lovelock.³

     John was taken to America as a young child by his parents when they immigrated to New York in 1853.

     In 1870 he was living in Greenburgh, Westchester County^G, in the household of his parents William and Ruth, and was recorded as John Sacket, aged 18.⁸
     In 1880 he was living in Greenburgh, Westchester County^G, and was recorded as John B Sackett, a druggist, head of household, married, aged 28 and born in England. Living with him were his wife Lavinia, aged 24 and born in New York, and their children, William, 3, and Clarissa, aged one. Also in the household was a nine-year-old (?) female servant.⁹
     In 1900 he was living at 46 Washington Street, Greenburgh^G, and was recorded as John B Sackett, a drug merchant, aged 48. Living with him were his wife Lavinia, 44, and their children, William, 23, Clara, 21, and Florence, 19.¹⁰
     In 1910 he was living at 41 North Washington Street, Greenburgh^G, and was recorded as John B Sackett, a retail drugs merchant, a widower aged 58. His unmarried daughter Clara, 30, was living with him.¹¹
     In 1920 he was living at 52 Main Street, Tarrytown, Westchester County^G, and was recorded as John B Sackett, a drug store proprietor, aged 66. His daughter Clara, 40, was living with him.¹²
     In 1930 he was living at 47 Main Street, Tarrytown^G, in the household of his brother-in-law George Johnson, and was recorded as John B Sackett, a drug store proprietor, aged 77.¹³

Emma Hannah Sackett, daughter of George Sackett and Emma Boreman, was born in Margate, Kent^G, in 1854.^1,2 She married first in Thanet^G in 1873, George Watson Pearce, a farm labourer.^3,4 George was born in Margate^G in 1851⁷ and died there aged 30 in 1881.⁸ She married in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1884, Thomas Read.^5,6 Thomas was born in Bishopsbourne, Kent^G, about 1836.
     In 1861 Emma was living at Coldharbour Square, Canterbury, Kent^G, in the household of her widowed mother Emma, and was recorded in the census as Emma Sackett, aged six and born in Margate.⁹
     In 1881 she was living at 10 Sparrow Castle, Margate^G, in the household of her husband George, 30, a general labourer, and was recorded as Emma Pierce, aged 30 [sic; 26/27] and born in Margate. Living with them were their children, Louisa, 8, Ada, 6, George, 3, and William, aged one.¹⁰

Vincent Edward Sackett, son of Eli John Sackett and Amelia Terry, was born in Stepney, Middlesex^G, in 1855¹ and baptized at St George in the East, Middlesex^G, on 1 November 1857.² He died by poisoning, aged 39, at Castle Street, Shulay, Bangalore, Madras, India^G, on 12 October 1894.^3,4,5 He married in Bangalore^G on 10 April 1882, Elizabeth Perrett, daughter of Thomas Perrett.^6,7,8 Elizabeth was born about 1865.⁹ After Vincent's death, Elizabeth married second in Bangalore^G on 30 December 1895, Alfred Robert Clarke, son of Alfred Clarke.
     Vincent was a barge builder before enlisting in the British Army, aged 19, at Sheerness, Kent^G, on 1 October 1874. He served in the Royal Artillery for eighteen years, including thirteen years in India. Following his discharge in 1893 he lived in Madras. At the date of his death he was a Chelsea Pensioner, receiving his army pension as an out-pensioner.^7,10
