Melinda Sackett, daughter of Samuel Sackett and Bethia Pierpont, was baptized at St John's, North Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut^G, in 1795.¹ She died aged 35 in New Haven, Connecticut^G, on 3 October 1830.^2,3 She married at New Haven, Connecticut^G, on 12 December 1819, John Phelps.⁴

William Russell Sackett, son of Samuel Sackett and Bethia Pierpont, was born in North Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut^G, on 25 February 1803^1,2 and baptized there on 11 December 1803.³ He died aged 48 on 24 March 1851 and was buried at Holland Patent Cemetery, Trenton, Oneida County, New York State^G.⁴
     In 1850 William was living in Trenton, Oneida County, New York State^G, in the household of his brother John and family, and was recorded in the census as William Sacket, a laborer, aged 47 and born in Connecticut.⁵

Amy May Sackett, daughter of William Sackett and Ruth Ann Bevis, was born, presumably in New York State^G, in 1856.¹ She died in infancy in 1858¹ and was buried at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown, Westchester County, New York State^G.¹

     In 1880 he was living in Glenville, Westchester County^G, in the household of his parents William and Ruth, and was recorded as George T Sackett, a druggist, single, aged 19 and born in New York.⁴
     George and Nellie visited Scotland in 1885, returning to New York from Glasgow on 28 September 1885.^5,6
     In 1900 he was living at 3 Constant Street, Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County^G, and was recorded as George Sackett, a druggist, aged 40. Living with him were his wife Nellie, 37, and their children, Helen, 13, and George R, aged two. Nellie's widowed mother Elizabeth Taylor, 72, was also in the household.⁷

Susannah Harlow Sackett, daughter of William Sackett and Ruth Ann Bevis, was born, presumably in New York State^G, in 1863.¹ She died there in infancy in 1864¹ and was buried at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown, Westchester County, New York State^G.¹
