Thomas Francis Sackett, shipwright of Rotherhithe, Surrey, son of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Mill Street, Bermondsey, SurreyG, on 30 July 1819.1 He was baptized at St Mary's Church, RotherhitheG, on 25 August 1819.1 He was re-baptized at St Mary's ChurchG on 6 January 1828.2 He died before 1901 when his second wife, Phillis, was recorded as a widow. He married first at St Thomas's Church, Stepney, MiddlesexG, on 8 April 1844, Charlotte Pritchard, daughter of Charles Pritchard.3,4 Charlotte was born in RotherhitheG about 18247 and died there aged 38 in 1862.8 He married second in St Paul, Shadwell, MiddlesexG, on 4 September 1865, Phillis Elizabeth (Curry) Moore, daughter of Henry Curry.5,6 Phillis was born about 18369 and died aged 76 in West Ham, EssexG, in 1915.10
     In 1841 Thomas was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, BermondseyG, in the household of his parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Thomas Sackett, an apprentice shipwright, aged 21 and born in Surrey.11

     In 1901 Thomas's widow Phillis was living at 22 Woodstock Street, West HamG, in the household of her widowed son Thomas, and was recorded in the census as Phillis Sacket, aged 63.16

Emily Catherine/Caroline Sackett, daughter of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Salisbury Lane, Bermondsey, SurreyG, on 9 June 18331 and baptized at St Mary's Church, Rotherhithe, SurreyG, on 7 July 1833.1 She married at St Thomas' Church, Stepney, MiddlesexG, on 27 August 1854, Edward John Pearce, a mariner, son of Edward Pearce.2,3
     In 1841 Emily was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, SurreyG, in the household of her parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Emily Sackett, aged 8 and born in Surrey.4
     In 1851 she was living at 26 Albert Street, St.Paul's, Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch, MiddlesexG, and was recorded as Emily Sackett, a corset maker, aged 18, born in Bermondsey, an unmarried daughter of Francis Sackett.5

Mary Ann Sackett, daughter of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Bermondsey, SurreyG, about 1836.1 She died aged about 62 in Islington, LondonG,2 and was buried there on 26 March 1898.5 She married at St Thomas' Church, Stepney, MiddlesexG, on 2 February 1856, John Pelle, a mariner, son of John Pelle and Susanna ___.3,4 John was born in GuernseyG about 1830.6
     In 1841 Mary was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, SurreyG, in the household of her parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Mary Ann Sackett, aged 5 and born in Surrey.7
     In 1851 she was living at 26 Albert Street, St.Paul's, Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch, MiddlesexG, and was recorded as Mary Sackett, a tailoress, aged 16, born in Bermondsey, an unmarried daughter of Francis Sackett.8
     In 1891 she was living at 39 Portree Street, Bromley, LondonG, in the household of her husband John, 62, a mariner, and was recorded as Maryann Peel, aged 54. Living with them were their children, Charles, 24, and Emily, aged 13. There were also two male boarders in the household.9
