Ann Sackett, daughter of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, on 10 November 1816¹ and baptized at St Mary's Church, Rotherhithe^G, on 20 November 1816.¹ She married at St Thomas' Church, Stepney, Middlesex^G, on 15 October 1849, James Casey, mariner.^2,3
     In 1841 Ann was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in the household of her parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Ann Sackett, aged 23 and born in Surrey.⁴
     In 1851 she was living at 26 Albert Street, St.Paul's, Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, and was recorded as Ann Sackett, a dressmaker, married, aged 30 [actually 34] and born in Rotherhithe, the daughter of Francis Sackett. Ann was recorded in her maiden name although she was by this date married to James Casey.⁵

Sarah Sackett, daughter of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Marygold Street, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, on 4 March 1822¹ and baptized at St Mary's Church, Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, on 7 April 1822.¹ She married at St Thomas' Church, Stepney, Middlesex^G, on 8 October 1846, George Walker, sailor, son of John Walker.^2,3
     In 1851 Sarah was living at 26 Albert Street, St.Paul's, Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, and was recorded in the census as Sarah Sackett, a milliner, aged 28 and born in Bermondsey, married daughter of Francis Sackett. Sarah was recorded in her maiden name although she was by this date married to George Walker.⁴

Francis Robert Sackett, shipwright, of Shoreditch, Middlesex, son of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Marygold Street, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, on 11 April 1825¹ and baptized at St Mary's Church, Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, on 15 May 1825.² He died aged 40 in Rotherhithe^G in 1865.³ He married in St Thomas' Church, Stepney, Middlesex^G, on 2 May 1853, Sarah Williamson Weightman, daughter of John Williamson Weightman.^4,5
     In 1841 Francis was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in the household of his parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Francis Sackett, an apprentice shipwright, aged 17 [actually 16] and born in Surrey.⁶
     In 1851 he was living at 26 Albert Street, St.Paul's, Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, a shipwright, unmarried, aged 24 [actually 25] and born in Bermondsey, the son of Francis Sackett.⁷

Martha Sackett, daughter of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Marigold Street, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, on 6 December 1827¹ and baptized at St Mary's Church, Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, on 6 January 1828.¹ She married at Stepney, Middlesex^G, in 1848, John Robson, a mariner, son of William Robson.^2,3 John was born about 1821.
     In 1841 Martha was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in the household of her parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Martha Sackett, aged 13 and born in Surrey.⁴
     In 1851 she was living at 26 Albert Street, St.Paul's, Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, and was recorded as Martha Sackett, a dress maker, aged 25, born in Bermondsey, a married daughter of Francis Sackett. Martha was recorded in her maiden name although she was by this date married.⁵

Thomas Francis Sackett, shipwright of Rotherhithe, Surrey, son of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Mill Street, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, on 30 July 1819.¹ He was baptized at St Mary's Church, Rotherhithe^G, on 25 August 1819.¹ He was re-baptized at St Mary's Church^G on 6 January 1828.² He died before 1901 when his second wife, Phillis, was recorded as a widow. He married first at St Thomas's Church, Stepney, Middlesex^G, on 8 April 1844, Charlotte Pritchard, daughter of Charles Pritchard.^3,4 Charlotte was born in Rotherhithe^G about 1824⁷ and died there aged 38 in 1862.⁸ He married second in St Paul, Shadwell, Middlesex^G, on 4 September 1865, Phillis Elizabeth (Curry) Moore, daughter of Henry Curry.^5,6 Phillis was born about 1836⁹ and died aged 76 in West Ham, Essex^G, in 1915.¹⁰
     In 1841 Thomas was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey^G, in the household of his parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Thomas Sackett, an apprentice shipwright, aged 21 and born in Surrey.¹¹
     In 1851 he was living at 7 West Lane, Rotherhithe^G, and was recorded as Thos. Sackett, head of household, a shipwright, married, aged 30, and born in Bermondsey. Living with him were his wife Charlotte, and children Thomas, 6, Sarah, 4, and Francis, aged 11 months.¹²
     In 1861 he was living at 15 Pleasant Row, Bermondsey^G, and was recorded as Thomas F Sackett, a shipwright, head of household, married, aged 41, and born in Bermondsey. Living with him were his wife Charlotte, and their children, Sarah, 14, Francis, 10, Elizabeth, 8, Mary, 6, and Henry, aged four.¹³
     In 1881 he was living at 47 Benledi Street, London, Middlesex^G, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, head of household, married, a shipwright, aged 56, and born in Bermondsey, Surrey. Living with him were his wife Phillis, aged 45, his sons Henry aged 24 and Thomas aged 17, his daughter Phillis aged 4, his stepsons Joseph Moore and Henry Moore, stepgranddaughter Ann Moore aged 2, and Mary Hambrock, an unmarried boarder.¹⁴
     In 1891 he was living at 2 Swanscombe Street, West Ham, Essex^G, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, a general labourer, head of household, married, aged 69 and born in Bermondsey. Living with him were his wife Phillis, 59, and their daughter Phillis, aged 14.¹⁵
     In 1901 Thomas's widow Phillis was living at 22 Woodstock Street, West Ham^G, in the household of her widowed son Thomas, and was recorded in the census as Phillis Sacket, aged 63.¹⁶

Emily Catherine/Caroline Sackett, daughter of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Salisbury Lane, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, on 9 June 1833¹ and baptized at St Mary's Church, Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, on 7 July 1833.¹ She married at St Thomas' Church, Stepney, Middlesex^G, on 27 August 1854, Edward John Pearce, a mariner, son of Edward Pearce.^2,3
     In 1841 Emily was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in the household of her parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Emily Sackett, aged 8 and born in Surrey.⁴
     In 1851 she was living at 26 Albert Street, St.Paul's, Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, and was recorded as Emily Sackett, a corset maker, aged 18, born in Bermondsey, an unmarried daughter of Francis Sackett.⁵

Mary Ann Sackett, daughter of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Bermondsey, Surrey^G, about 1836.¹ She died aged about 62 in Islington, London^G,² and was buried there on 26 March 1898.⁵ She married at St Thomas' Church, Stepney, Middlesex^G, on 2 February 1856, John Pelle, a mariner, son of John Pelle and Susanna ___.^3,4 John was born in Guernsey^G about 1830.⁶
     In 1841 Mary was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in the household of her parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Mary Ann Sackett, aged 5 and born in Surrey.⁷
     In 1851 she was living at 26 Albert Street, St.Paul's, Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, and was recorded as Mary Sackett, a tailoress, aged 16, born in Bermondsey, an unmarried daughter of Francis Sackett.⁸
     In 1891 she was living at 39 Portree Street, Bromley, London^G, in the household of her husband John, 62, a mariner, and was recorded as Maryann Peel, aged 54. Living with them were their children, Charles, 24, and Emily, aged 13. There were also two male boarders in the household.⁹
