Sarah Ansell Sackett, daughter of Thomas Sackett and Sarah ___, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 21 June 1805 and baptized at Ebenezer Independent Chapel, Ramsgate^G, on 29 September 1805.¹ She married at St Lawrence in Thanet^G on 20 March 1831, Richard Belsey Ratcliff.²
     Sarah was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made in Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, on 14 June 1844.³ There is some confusion about the identity of Sarah's mother. Her baptism record gave her mother's name as Sarah, not Mary, although Thomas and Mary had been married for a year before Sarah's birth. Thomas stated in his will that his daughter Sarah was to be treated as a daughter in wedlock.
     In 1881 Sarah was living at 1 Sacketts Cottages, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, and was recorded in the census as Sarah A Ratcliff, married, aged 75 and born at St Lawrence. She was living in the household of her sister Elizabeth Sackett. Also in the household was Sarah's unmarried daughter, also Sarah, aged 49.⁴

Thomas Sackett, son of Thomas Sackett and Mary Ansell, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 1 November 1807.¹ He was baptized at Ebenezer Independent Chapel, Ramsgate^G, on 9 December 1807.¹ He married in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1838, Harriet Langridge.² She was born in St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, about 1807.³
     In 1841 Thomas was living at Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, next door to his father and was recorded in the census as Thomas Sackett, a mason, aged 30 and born in Kent. Living with him were his wife Harriett, also 30, son Stephen, aged one, and brother George, 15.⁴ [ages rounded down to nearest five years]
     In 1851 he was living at Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, a stonemason, head of household, married, aged 43, and born at St. Lawrence. Living with him were his wife Harriet, aged 44, and also born at St. Lawrence, and their sons Stephen, 11, and Walter, aged six.⁵

Mary Sackett, daughter of Thomas Sackett and Mary Ansell, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 20 October 1810¹ and baptized at the Ebenezer Independent Chapel, Ramsgate^G, on 5 December 1810.¹
     In 1841 Mary was living at Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her parents Thomas and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Mary Sackett, aged 30 [rounded down to nearest five years] and born in Kent.²
     Mary was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made in Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, on 14 June 1844.³

Stephen Sackett, son of Thomas Sackett and Mary Ansell, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 25 October 1812¹ and baptized at Ebenezer Independent Chapel, Ramsgate^G, on 14 December 1812.¹ He died aged 17, supposed drowned, on 18 September 1830² and was buried at the Baptist New Burial Ground, Ramsgate^G.³

Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Thomas Sackett and Mary Ansell, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 13 May 1818¹ and baptized at the Ebenezer Independent Chapel, Ramsgate^G, on 30 July 1818.¹ She died aged 82 and was buried at Ebenezer Independent Chapel, Ramsgate^G, on 4 March 1901.² She was unmarried.

     In 1871 she was living at Sackett Cottages, Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, in the household of her 92-year-old mother Mary Sackett, and was recorded as Elizabeth Sackett, a sweetshop keeper, unmarried, aged 62 [actually 52], and born in St Lawrence.⁷
     Elizabeth was appointed administrator of the estate of Mary Ansell by letters of administration granted at the an unknown place on 19 October 1872.⁸
     In 1881 she was living at 1 Sacketts Cottages, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, and was recorded as Elizabeth Sackett, a shopkeeper, head of household, a widow [an error; Elizabeth was unmarried], aged 62 and born in St Lawrence, Kent. Living with her were her sister Sarah A. Ratcliff, aged 75, and her unmarried niece Sarah Ratcliff, aged 49.⁹
     In 1891 she was living at 1 Freemans Cottages, Hereson Road, Ramsgate^G, and was recorded as Elizabeth Sackett, a general shopkeeper, head of household, unmarried, aged 72, and born in St Lawrence.¹⁰

William Sackett, son of Thomas Sackett and Mary Ansell, was born in St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent, England^G, on 23 April 1821^1,2 and baptized at Ebenezer Independent Chapel, Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 16 September 1821.¹ He died aged about 60 in Tarrytown, Westchester County, New York State^G, in 1881 and was buried at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, Westchester County^G.⁶ He married in Westminster, London^G, on 25 April 1847, Ruth Ann Bevis, daughter of John Bevis and Hannah ___.^3,4,5 Ruth was born in Ramsgate^G in 1821² and baptized at St Lawrence in Thanet^G on 27 May 1821.⁷ She died aged about 65 in Tarrytown^G on 2 April 1886 and was buried at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery^G.^6,8
     In 1841 William was living in Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of his parents Thomas and Mary, and was recorded in the census as William Sackett, a mason, aged 19 and born in Kent.⁹
     In 1851 he was living in Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, and was recorded as William Sackett, a mason, aged 28. His wife Ruth, 28, a dressmaker, was living with him.¹⁰
     William emigrated from England to America in 1853 with his wife Ruth and their children Sarah and John. The family settled in New York where William continued his craft as a stone cutter, making gravestones.
     William was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, on 14 June 1844.¹¹ The will was proved in Canterbury, Kent, on 7 August 1858.
     In 1860 he was living in Mount Pleasant, Westchester County, New York State^G, and was recorded as Wm Sacket, a stone cutter, aged 38 and born in England. Living with him were his wife Ruth, 38, and their children, John, 8, William, 6, and George, aged seven months.¹²
     In 1870 he was living in Greenburgh, Westchester County^G, and was recorded as William Sacket, a stone cutter, aged 47. Living with him were his wife Ruth, 45, and their children, John, 18, and George, aged ten.¹³
     In 1880 he was living in Glenville, Westchester County^G, and was recorded as William Sackett, a stone cutter, head of household, married, aged 59. Living with him were his wife Ruth, also 59 and born in England, and their son George, a druggist, aged 19 and born in New York.¹⁴

George Sackett, stonemason of Shoreditch, Middlesex, son of Thomas Sackett and Mary Ansell, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 23 May 1823¹ and baptized at Ebenezer Independent Chapel, Ramsgate^G, on 28 September 1823.¹ He died aged 39 in Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, in 1863.² He married at St John's Church, Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, on 9 September 1849, Louisa Maria Haysom, daughter of Thomas Haysom.^3,4 Louisa was born in Romsey, Hampshire^G, about 1830^5,6 and died aged 59 in Edmonton, Middlesex^G, in 1890.⁷
     In 1841 George was living at Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of his brother Thomas, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, an apprentice mason, aged 15 and born in Kent.⁸
     In 1851 he was living at 7 Francis Place, Hoxton, Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, and was recorded as George Sackett, a mason, head of household, married, aged 26 and born in Hereson [Ramsgate], Kent. Living with him were his wife Louisa, 21, and six-month-old daughter Elizabeth.⁹
     George was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in Hereson, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, on 14 June 1844.¹⁰
     In 1861 he was living at 7 Francis Place, Poole Street, Shoreditch, Middlesex^G, and was recorded as George Sackett, a stone cutter, head of household, married, aged 38 and born in St Lawrence, Kent. Living with him were his wife Louisa, 30, and children, Elizabeth, 10, Harriet, 9, Rosina, 3, Thomas, 7, Alfred, 4, and William, aged one.¹¹
     In 1871 George's widow Louisa was living at 7 Frances Place, Shoreditch^G, and was recorded in the census as Louisa Sackett, head of household, a widow aged 40 and born in Romsey, Hampshire. Living with her were her children, Thomas, 17, Alfred, 14, Rose, 13, and Louisa, aged nine. Also in the household were Ann Coster, a female lodger, and Martha Gallery, a visitor.¹²
     In 1881 she was living at 11 Francis Place, Hoxton Old Town, Middlesex^G, and was recorded as Louisa Sackett, retired, head of household, aged 49. Living with her were her unmarried children, Alfred, 24, and Louisa, 18, and her married daughter Elizabeth Chad, 30, with her husband Charles Chad, 31, and their children, Charles, 6, Alfred, 2, and James, aged nine months.¹³

Elizabeth Hewitt Crow, daughter of William Crow and Keziah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 8 November 1801.¹ She died in infancy and was buried there on 24 June 1804.²

William Sackett Crow, son of William Crow and Keziah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 14 November 1802.¹

John Ansell Crow, son of William Crow and Keziah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 28 October 1804.¹ He died aged about 66 on 20 August 1871.² He married first at St Peter in Thanet^G on 25 March 1826, Susanna Peake Ashley.³ She died on 1 January 1829.² He married second at St Peter in Thanet^G on 10 December 1831, Ann Mary Oldfield.⁴

Anne Crow, daughter of William Crow and Keziah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 27 July 1806.¹ She died aged about 69 on 13 December 1875.² She married on 14 March 1826, Henry Ford.²

Ambrose Crow, son of William Crow and Keziah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 1 May 1808.¹

Zechariah Sayer Crow, son of William Crow and Keziah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 24 February 1811.¹

Peter Sage Crow, son of William Crow and Keziah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 10 October 1813.¹ He married at Nelson, New Zealand^G, in 1842, Elizabeth Burton.²
     Peter Sage Crow emigrated in 1840 to New Zealand as crew on the ship Oriental and deserted ship in Wellington Harbour.²

Hannah Crow, daughter of William Crow and Keziah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 25 August 1816.¹ She married ___ Wastie.
     Hannah emigrated to New Zealand as a widow (Hannah Wastie). She married a widower in New Zealand but died childless.²
