     Samuel was listed in the 1830 census as a householder in St Mary's, Mercer County, OhioG.3 In 1840 he was a householder in Blue Creek, Adams County, IndianaG.4
     In 1850 Samuel was living at Blue Creek, Adams County, IndianaG, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sacket, a farmer, aged 50 and born in Ohio. Living with him were his wife Julia, 37, and their children, Cyrus, 12, Isabell, 11, Sarah, 10, William, 9, Samuel, 7, Elizabeth, 6, Julia, 4, Hannah, 2, and Andrew, aged one.5

Aner Sackett, daughter of Cyrus Sackett and Nancy Anne Stapleton, was born in Bellbrook, Greene County, OhioG, on 24 January 1807.1,2 She died aged 69 in Fletcher, Miami County, OhioG, on 1 December 1876 and was buried at Fletcher CemeteryG.3 She married in Greene CountyG on 13 November 1836, Preston Patrick Pogue.1,2 He was born in Greene CountyG on 20 June 1818.3 After Aner's death, he married Margaret Haney in 1878.3 He died aged 86 in Miami CountyG on 3 May 1905 and was buried at Fletcher CemeteryG.3
     In 1850 Aner was living at Sugar Creek, Greene County, OhioG, in the household of Preston Pogue, 33, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as Ann Pogue, aged 41 and born in Ohio. Living with them were their children, Alex, 12, Cyrus, 10, Jasper [Joseph], 8, Martha, 6, James, 4, Lucinda, 3, and Sarah, aged one.4
     In 1860 she was living in Brown, Miami CountyG, in the household of her husband Preston Pogue, 42, a farmer, and was recorded as Aner Pogue, aged 48. Living with them were their children, Cyrus, 19, Joseph, 17, Martha, 15, James, 13, Lucinda, 12, and Sarah, aged ten.5
     In 1870 she was living in Brown, Miami CountyG, in the household of her husband Preston Pogue, 52, a retired farmer, and was recorded as Aner Pogue, aged 62. Also in the household were their daughter Lucinda, 23, son Alexander, 32, Alexander's second wife, Samantha, 19, and Alexander's children by his first marriage, Josephine, 9, Clara, 6, and Alice, aged three.6
