Daniel Sackett, son of Thomas Francis Sackett and Margaret Barnett, was born in West Ham, EssexG, on 1 September 1896.1,2 He died aged 75 in Stepney, LondonG, in 1972.3 He married in West HamG in 1921, Clara H Grant.4,5
     In 1901 Daniel was living at 22 Woodstock Street, West HamG, in the household of his widowed father Thomas, and was recorded in the census as Daniel Sacket, aged four and born in Canning Town.1
     In 1911 he was living at 76 Clifton Road, Canning Town, West HamG, in the household of his father Thomas and stepmother Sarah, and was recorded as Daniel Sackett, a van boy, aged 14 and born in West Ham.6
     Daniel served in the British Army during the First World War in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He saw active service overseas but was required to return the usual Victory Medal and British Medal following desertion from the service on 7 May 1918.7,8

     In 1790 Joseph was living in Addison, Addison County, VermontG. In his household were one man and two females.1
     Joseph was listed in the 1800 census as a householder in Panton, Addison CountyG.2 Joseph was probably one of the two males aged 45 and over living in PantonG in 1810, the other assumed to have been his father.3 In 1820 he was a householder in Elba, Genesee County, New York StateG.4
     On 11 August 1825 Joseph, then of ElbaG, placed a newspaper notice.5

Isaac Sackett, son of Joseph Sackett and Comfort ___, was born in VermontG about 1780.1 He died in St Lawrence County, New York StateG, after December 1862.2 He married Sarah "Sally" ___. Sarah was born in VermontG about 1797.1
     On 14 February 1807 Isaac, then of Panton, VermontG, bought a landholding of 101 acres in Potsdam, New York, for $117 from two New York City merchants, the deed being recorded on 26 February 1811.3
     Isaac was listed in the 1810 census as a householder in Panton, Addison County, VermontG.4 It would appear that he removed to Potsdam in 1810 or 1811.
     Isaac was listed in the census in 1820, 1830, and 1840 as a householder in Potsdam, St Lawrence County, New York StateG.5,6,7
     Isaac and his wife Sarah sold land in PotsdamG on 26 January 1824 for $311.8 On 20 March 1829 they sold land to their son Ethan for $140.9
     In 1850 Isaac was living in PotsdamG and was recorded in the census as Isaac Sackett, a farmer, aged 70 and born in Vermont. His farm was valued at $1,300. His wife Sally, 53, was living with him. Also in the household were David Davis, 20, a farmer, and Cynthia Davis, 16. Also in the household, but with his own farm, were Isaac and Sally's son Benjamin, 34, his wife Jane, 24, and their son Gilbert, aged four.10
     On 1 February 1855 Isaac bought a further 15 acres for $86, the land to be under contract to his son Benjamin.11
     In 1860 he was living in PotsdamG and was recorded as Isaac Sackett, farmer, aged 80. Living with him were his wife Charlott, 63, [see note] and their sons, Isaac B, 49, and Levi, 48. There was also a female servant iin the household.12,13
     On 4 December 1862 a document was drawn up between Isaac and his sons, Isaac B, Levi, and Benjamin P, providing for Isaac's care in his old age.14

Chauncey Sackett, son of Joseph Sackett and Comfort ___, was born, presumably in Addison County, VermontG, about 1780. He died aged 47 in Marlow, Addison CountyG, on 21 April 1827 and was buried at Advent-Smith Cemetery, AddisonG.2,3 He married about 1814, Polly ___.1 Polly was born in VermontG about 1792.4 She died aged about 72 in MichiganG on 22 November 1864 and was buried at Follett Cemetery, Bellevue, Eaton County, MichiganG.3
     Chauncey was listed in the 1820 census as a householder in Addison, VermontG.5
     Chauncey died intestate. The Probate Court at New Haven, Addison CountyG, appointed Joseph Spencer Jr as administrator of the estate on 14 May 1827. An inventory dated 6 June 1827 valued the 47-acre land holding at $517, and personal estate, including livestock, at $924. A list of claims against the estate amounting to $121 was drawn up on 14 November 1827. Several years later, in October 1831, the Court appointed a committee to value the real estate and set out a one-third widow's share. The land, comprising 52 acres, was valued at $624, and two parcels of land, valued together at $208, were allotted to Polly.
     In June 1836, Polly was formally appointed guardian of her children Alonzo and Polly Mariah, they being minor heirs to Chauncey's estate who would inherit when they came of age. Polly's elder daughter Eliza was by then of full age, and her husband Almon Murray stood surety.6
     In 1830, Chauncey's widow Polly was listed as a householder in AddisonG.7
     Polly was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Canton, St Lawrence County, New York StateG.8
     In 1850 Polly, aged 57, was living in Bellevue, Eaton County, MichiganG, with her son Alonzo in the household of George Hyer, a farmer.9
     In 1860 she was living in BellevueG in the household of her son Alonzo and daughter-in-law Maria, and was recorded as Polly Sackett, aged 68 and born in Vermont.10
