Thomas Francis Sackett, son of Thomas Francis Sackett and Charlotte Pritchard, was born in Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, in 1844.^1,2
     In 1851 Thomas was living at 7 West Lane, Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, and was recorded in the census as Thos. Sackett, aged six and born in Rotherhithe, son of Thomas Sackett.³

Sarah Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Thomas Francis Sackett and Charlotte Pritchard, was born in Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in 1846.¹ She married at Rotherhithe Christ Church, Surrey^G, on 9 March 1868, Richard Shrimpton Wootton, son of Richard Shrimpton Wootton.^2,3
     In 1851 Sarah was living at 7 West Lane, Rotherhithe^G, and was recorded in the census as Sarah Sackett, aged four and born in Bermondsey, daughter of Thomas Sackett.⁴
     In 1861 she was living at 15 Pleasant Row, Bermondsey^G, in the household of her father Thomas F Sackett, a shipwright, and was recorded as Sarah Sackett, aged 14, and born in Bermondsey.⁵

Francis George Sackett, son of Thomas Francis Sackett and Charlotte Pritchard, was born in Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, in 1850.¹ He died aged 47 in St Olave Southwark, London^G, on 4 June 1897^2,3,4 and was buried at East London Cemetery.⁴ He married at St John the Evangelist, Walworth, Surrey^G, on 5 June 1876, Emma (Oyling) Parry.^5,6,7 She was born in Alton, Hampshire^G, in 1848.⁸ She was possibly the Emma Sackett who died in St Olave Bermondsey, London^G, in 1914.⁹
     In 1851 Francis was living at 7 West Lane, Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, and was recorded in the census as Francis Sackett, aged 11 months and born in Rotherhithe, son of Thomas Sackett.¹⁰
     In 1861 he was living at 15 Pleasant Row, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in the household of his father Thomas F Sackett, a shipwright, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, aged 10, a scholar, born in Rotherhithe.¹¹
     In 1881 he was living at 16 Mary Street, Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, and was recorded as Frank Sackett, head of household, married, aged 33, and born in Bermondsey, Surrey. He was a labourer in the chicory mills. Also in the household were his wife Emma, aged 33, born in Alton, Hampshire, and his son Henry, aged 11, and born in Rotherhithe.¹²
     In 1891 he was living at 84 Adam Street, Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, a dock labourer (employed), head of household, married, aged 40, and born in Rotherhithe. Liivng with him were his wife Emma, aged 42, and their son Henry, 22, and his wife (not named in the record). Also in the household were William Sackett, 29, Alice Sackett, 24, and Alice, 2, described respectively as son, daughter, and granddaughter. The census record has a number of crossings out, including the words "nephew" and "wife" next to William's entry. It is likely that this William was the same as William Sackett who married Alice in Fulham in 1890 and who was, therefore, the son of Francis's fourth cousin John and his wife Ann ___. The "granddaughter" Alice would be Alice Jane Sackett born in Poplar in 1888.¹³

Elizabeth Mary Ann Sackett, daughter of Thomas Francis Sackett and Charlotte Pritchard, was born in Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, in 1852.¹ She married in St John the Evangelist, Walworth, Surrey^G, on 25 December 1871, John Daniel Deacon, son of John Daniel Deacon.²
     In 1861 Elizabeth was living at 15 Pleasant Row, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in the household of her father Thomas F Sackett, a shipwright, and was recorded in the census as Elizabeth Sackett, aged 8, a scholar, born in Bermondsey.³

Mary Ann Amelia Sackett, daughter of Thomas Francis Sackett and Charlotte Pritchard, was born in Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in 1854.¹ She married at St James the Great, Bethnal Green, Middlesex^G, on 7 July 1872, John Luce, son of Henry Luce.²
     In 1861 Mary was living at 15 Pleasant Row, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in the household of her father Thomas F Sackett, a shipwright, and was recorded in the census as Mary A Sackett, aged 6, a scholar, born in Rotherhithe.³

Henry Sackett, labourer, son of Thomas Francis Sackett and Charlotte Pritchard, was born in Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in 1856.¹ He died aged 66 in West Ham, Essex^G, in 1923.² He married at St Barnabus Church, Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, on 6 April 1884, Jane Tansley, daughter of John Daniel Tansley and Jane Bosher.^3,4 Jane was born in Poplar, London^G, on 9 June 1866.^5,6
     In 1861 Henry was living at 15 Pleasant Row, Bermondsey, Surrey^G, in the household of his parents Thomas and Charlotte, and was recorded in the census as Henry Sackett, a scholar, aged four and born in Bermondsey.⁷
     In 1881 he was living at 47 Benledi Street, London, Middlesex^G, in the household of his father Thomas and stepmother Phillis, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a labourer in a chemical works, aged 24.⁸
     In 1891 he was living at 47 Aberfeedy Street, St Leonards, Bromley, London^G, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a general labourer, head of household, married, aged 31 and born in London. Living with him were his wife Jane, 24, and children, Mary Ann, 6, Alice Jane, 3, and Edith, aged one.⁹
     In 1901 he was living at 12 Philip Street, West Ham, Essex^G, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a general labourer, head of household, married, aged 40 and born in Rotherhithe. Living with him were his wife Jenny, 34, and their children, Mary, 16, Alice, 13, Edith, 11, and Edna, aged eight months. Claude Perry, aged three, was a visitor to the household.¹⁰
     In 1911 he was living at 22 Totnes Road, Victoria Docks, Canning Town, West Ham, Essex^G, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, aged 55, a labourer in an alizarin [red dye for textiles] factory. His daughter Mary Ann, 26, was living with him. They were boarders in the household of John Page.¹¹
     In 1911 Henry's wife Jane/Jenny, listed as Mrs J Sackett, was a visitor at 106 Lower Road, Rotherhithe, Bermondsey, London^G, in the household of Thomas Walker, 49, a master stevedore. Her children, Edna May, 10, and Claude, aged eight, were with her.¹²
     Henry and Jane would appear to have separated sometime before 1911. Jane and Thomas Henry Walker had evidently known each other for many years. Thomas Walker had married Elizabeth Ann Winnister in 1893, and a witness to that marriage had been Jane's brother Thomas Bosher Tansley. Elizabeth Walker was living alone in Rotherhithe in 1911 and in 1921. In the 1921 census she was described as married but separated. Records for Thomas Walker and for Jane in the 1921 census have not been found.
     Henry's wife Jane would appear to have emigrated from England to Australia sometime before 1914 taking with her their two youngest children, Edna May and Claude. They returned to England from Sydney, New South Wales^G, on the P & O ship Ballarat, arriving in London on 6 August 1914. A record of their outward journey has not been found.¹³
     Jane and Thomas Walker were married in Romford, Essex^G, in 1936.¹⁴
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Jane, now Jane Walker, a widow, was living at Malvern, Chailey Avenue, Rottingdean, Brighton, Sussex^G. Her daughter Edna May was living with her.¹⁵

Thomas Francis Sackett, dock labourer, son of Thomas Francis Sackett and Phillis Elizabeth (Curry) Moore, was born in Rotherhithe, Surrey^G, on 24 February 1865^1,2 and baptized at Christ Church, Rotherhithe^G, on 13 July 1870.³ He married first in Stepney, Middlesex^G, in 1885, Margaret Barnett.^4,5 Margaret was born about 1867⁸ and died aged 32 in West Ham, Essex^G, in 1899.⁹ He married second in West Ham, Essex^G, in 1906, Sarah (___) Hyslop.^6,7 Sarah was born on 20 September 1864.²
     In 1881 Thomas was living at 47 Benledi Street, London, Middlesex^G, and was recorded in the census as Thomas Sackett, a general labourer, aged 17 and born in Rotherhithe, in the household of his father Thomas Sackett.¹⁰
     In 1901 he was living at 22 Woodstock Street, West Ham^G, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, head of household, dock labourer, a widower aged 31 and born in Deptford, London. Living with him were his widowed mother Phillis, his son Daniel aged four, and a niece and nephew, Elizabeth and George Moore.¹¹
     In 1911 he was living at 76 Clifton Road, Canning Town, West Ham, Essex^G, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, a dock labourer, head of household, aged 45 and born in Rotherhithe. Living with him was his second wife, Sarah, 43, his son Daniel, 14, from his first marriage, and Sarah's children, James, 19, John, 13, and Ellen J, 12, from her first marriage. Also in the household was a male boarder.¹²
     In 1921 he was living at 40 Tyas Road, Canning Town, West Ham^G, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, a dock labourer, aged 54. His wife Sarah, 54, was living with him. Also in the household were an unmarried son and two married daughters of Sarah's first marriage, with their families.¹³
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Thomas and Sarah were living at 80 York Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex^G. Thomas was a retired dock labourer.¹⁴

Phyllis Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Thomas Francis Sackett and Phillis Elizabeth (Curry) Moore, was born in Poplar, Middlesex^G, on 2 November 1876.^1,2 She was baptized at St Mary, Plaistow, Essex^G, on 9 November 1890.³ She married at St Luke's Church, Victoria Docks, West Ham, Essex^G, on 25 December 1896, John Richard Dye.^4,5
     In 1881 Phyllis was living at 47 Benledi Street, London, Middlesex^G, and was recorded in the census as Phillis Sackett, aged four and born in Poplar, Middlesex, the daughter of Thomas Sackett.⁶
     Phyllis was admitted, aged six, to Oban Street School, Tower Hamlets, London^G, on 7 May 1883. She left on 25 October 1884, was re-admitted on 12 January 1885, and left again on 21 July 1885. The family was living at 19 Oban Street.²
     In 1891 Phyllis was living at 2 Swanscombe Street, West Ham, Essex^G, in the household of her parents Thomas and Phillis, and was recorded in the census as Phillis Sackett, aged 14 and born in Poplar.⁷
