Rebecca Sacket, daughter of Jesse Sacket and Sarah Dewey, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 10 June 17461,2,3,4 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 22 June 1746.5 She married on 8 November 1771, probably in New Milford, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, Salmon Carrington, son of Dr Riverius Carrington and Penelope Bordman.1,6,7,8,9 Salmon was born in New MilfordG on 18 December 1747.10 He died there aged 40 on 15 February 1788 and was buried at Center Cemetery, New MilfordG.11,12 A death (or perhaps a remarriage) record for Rebecca has not been found.
Salmon died intestate. An inventory made on 30 April 1788 valued his personal estate at some £60, including livestock (5 hogs, 2 cows, a calf, a heifer, and a yoke of oxen) at £20. His real estate comprising six acres of land, still subject to his mother Penelope's widow's dower, was valued on 9 April 1790 at £13. These sums would have been insufficient to meet claims of £91 against his estate, including medical and other expenses incurred "in his last sickness."13

Ozina Sacket, daughter of Erastus Sacket and Elizabeth Leonard, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 18 June 17591,2 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 29 July 1759.3 She may have married Charles Johnson, son of Nathaniel Johnson and Anna Johns, in 1797.4,5 She may otherwise have been the Zina Sackett who published an intention to marry Gideon Gunn at Pittsfield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 13 October 1799.6
There is conflicting evidence about Ozina's possible marriage. Sons of the American Revolution membership applications include a record for Elihu Johnson (1800-1883), son of Charles Johnson (no dates) and Ozina Sachett (no dates), and a similar record for Elihu Johnson (1800-83), son of "Charles Johnson (1769-1832) m. 1797 Ozinee Sackett (1769-1824)" appears in the Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage Book. Find A Grave lists a burial for Ozina Sackett Johnson at Maple Wood Cemetery, Boston, Erie County, New York, with no dates of birth or death. This record lists husband Charles Johnson and son Elihu Johnson, probably taken from the SAR and DAR records.
Ozina signed an agreement regarding the probate of her father's will on 2 May 1797. She was then unmarried.7

Solomon and his brother Erastus were founder members, with 24 other townsmen, of the Berkshire Cattle Show, held in the Square in the Village of PittsfieldG for the first time on 1 October 1810 when "farmers in this County and its vicinity" were "respectfully invited to attend this first exhibition, from nine to three of the clock, with bulls, oxen, steers, and other neat cattle, Merino sheep of the different grades, as well as other improved breeds, hogs or swine of different breeds, and such useful animals as they may think proper" in the hope that "this essay will lead to permanent annual cattle shows, and that an incorporated Agricultural Society will emanate from these meetings."17
Solomon's widow Elizabeth was listed in the census in 1820, 1830 and 1840 as a householder in PittsfieldG.18,19,20
Elizabeth Sacket was named in the Pittsfield Sun on 10 October 1821 in a list of persons for whom letters had been received at the post office.21
Solomon was stated in the Kellogg Genealogy to have been childless. However, there were two children, a boy and a girl, in his household in 1800 and 1810. Their ages, between 10 and 15 in 1810, indicating births in or after 1795, would fit with Solomon and Betsey's marriage in 1793.
A candidate for the boy is Werien/Warren J Sackett, born in Massachusetts in about 1794, whose parents have not otherwise been identified.
