Joseph Sackett Jr, son of Joseph Sacket and Lucy Goff, was born in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, in 1794.1,2 He died in Allegany County, New York StateG, after 17 March 1871 (when he signed an affadavit relating to his service in the War of 1812.) He married first in Pompey, Onondaga County, New York StateG, in January 1814, Phylinda Cleveland, daughter of Jedediah Cleveland and Lydia Merrill.3 Phylinda was born in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 12 October 1792.4 She died aged 39 in Whitesville, Allegany CountyG, on 20 March 1832 and was buried in the Old Cemetery at Whitesville.5 He married second in Allegany CountyG before 1840, Mercy (___) Grennolds. She was born in Rhode IslandG about 1792.6
     Joseph Sackett served in the War of 1812 in Captain Kellogg's Company of the New York Militia from 5 June 1812 to 22 November 1812, and in Captain Mosby's Company in October 1813. He was in the Rifle Company at the Battle of Queenston Heights.7
     Joseph was listed in the 1820 census as a householder in Naples, Ontario County, New York StateG.8 In 1840 he was a householder in Independence, Allegany County, New York StateG.9
     Joseph was named as an heir to the estate of Joseph Sacket in papers submitted to the Surrogate Court of Ontario County, New York, by his brother Zelotus on 5 March 1845.10

Laverne O Sackett, son of Merrill Cleveland Sackett and Sarah Emily "Sally" Rice, was born in New York StateG on 27 September 1846.1 He died aged about 72 in 1918.1 He married on 14 May 1864, Anna Eliza Youker, daughter of Henry Youker and Priscella R Phelps.1
     In 1850 Laverne was living at Independence, Allegany County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Merrill and Polly, and was recorded in the census as Lavern Sackett, aged three and born in New York.2

Lee Emory Sackett, railroad conductor, son of George Emory Sackett and Emma Augusta Cottrell, was born in Appleton, Outagamie County, WisconsinG, on 21 November 1884.1,2 He died aged 67 on 10 May 19523 and was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, Douglas County, WisconsinG.5 He married in Ironwood, Gogebic County, MichiganG, on 31 August 1910, Della Frances Roscorla, daughter of R? B Roscorla and Minnie Kline.4 Della was born in MichiganG about 1890.6
     In 1900 Lee was living in Vaughn Township, Iron County, WisconsinG, in the household of his mother Emma, and was recorded in the census as Lee Sackett, at school, aged 15 and born in Wisconsin.7
     Lee completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 34 and was living at 1105 Hughitt Avenue, Superior, Douglas County, WisconsinG. He was a conductor on the Great Northern Railroad.8
     In 1920 he was living at Hughitt Avenue, SuperiorG, and was recorded as Lee E Sackett, railway conductor, head of household, aged 35. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Della, 29, and Della's grandparents, Frank and Martha Cottrell. There were also two male lodgers in the household.9
     In 1930 he was living at Cleveland Street, Milaca, Mille Lacs County, MinnesotaG, and was recorded as L E Sackett, railroad conductor, head of household, aged 45. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Della, 40, and their children, Marginia, 7, Eva, 4, Rollie, 2, and James, aged six months.10
     Lee completed a World War II draft registration card on 27 April 1942. He was living at 2222 East 5th, SuperiorG, aged 57, and was employed by Great Northern Railway.11

Funeral Rites Held For Lee Sackett in Superior
     Lee Sackett, 67, of 2222 E. 5th street, died on Saturday at his home in Superior. Born Nov. 22, 1884, in Appleton, he went from Hurley to Superior in 1912.
     Sackett was a retired Great Northern Railway Co. conductor. He was a member of Superior lodge No. 236, F. & A, M. and the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.
     The Rev. Raymond Ottensmeyer officiated at 2 p. m. services on Tuesday in the Episcopal church and interment followed in Greenwood cemetery in Superior.
     Surviving are a son, Pvt. James Sackett in Korea with the armed forces; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Dodge, Mrs. John Solberg and Miss Evalee Sackett, Superior, and two grandchildren.
     He was the brother of the late Archie Sackett of Hurley. Funeral services at Superior were attended by Mrs. Archie Sackett.

Mary Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Clarence Arthur Sackett and Helen Mae Hubbard, was born in Fond du Lac, WisconsinG, on 15 September 1930.1 She died aged 89 in Sheboygan, WisconsinG, on 11 January 2020.1 She married first on 17 September 1955, Kenneth Frederick Halle. Mary E. Grahl, age 89, of Cascade, passed away Saturday (January 11, 2020) at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
She was born on September 15, 1930 in Fond du Lac, WI, a daughter of the late Clarence and Helen (Hubbard) Sackett.
Mary graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1950.
On September 17, 1955 she married Kenneth Halle. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1960.
She worked for 33 years for the Plymouth School District in the kitchen and on the custodial staff.
On June 30, 1979 she married August “Augie” Grahl.
Mary was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Waldo where she served on the Altar Guild and served with the United Methodist Women. She was also an active member of the Cascade Lions Club and volunteered delivering for Home Delivered Meals.
Mary loved bowling and belonged to the Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon senior leagues at Odyssey Lanes in Sheboygan Falls. She also enjoyed watching game shows and sports, especially all the Wisconsin sports teams.
Survivors include: Husband: Augie of Cascade, Three Children: Kay (Becky) Drebert of Binghamton, NY, David (Julie) Halle of Sheboygan, WI, and Mark (Cindy) Halle of Menasha, WI. Six Grandchildren: Jason (special friend: Aimee) Tschantz of Green Bay, Heather (Thomas) Alday of Sheboygan, Nikki (Reggie) Anderson of Brookfield, Lance (Abbey) Halle of Neenah, David II(Tricia Hansen) Halle of Sheboygan and Stephanie (David) Petricek of Sheboygan; Four Great Grandchildren: David, Lorelai, Alessa and Clara; Two Sisters: Arleene Konz of Sheboygan and Betty Machtig of Sheboygan; One Brother: Harold Sackett of Clinton, IA; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: Grandson: James Tschantz; Brothers: Clarence, Norman, John, Bill and George; Sisters: Esther, Muriel and Helen; Brothers-in-law: Elmer and Glenn Grahl and Sister-in-law: Doris Seefeldt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (January 16, 2020) at 12:00 Noon at Trinity United Methodist Church in Waldo. Rev. Denise Kwiatkowski, Pastor of the Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenbush Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Thursday morning (Jan 16) from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Mary’s name.

Melvin William Sackett, son of Charles Rexford Sackett and Mary Ann Rohan, was born in WisconsinG on 21 April 1911.1,2 He died aged 78 on 22 March 1990.3 He married Blanche Luleeta Harvey, daughter of Raymond Harvey and Hazel Doty. Blanche was born in Hawkins, Rusk County, WisconsinG, on 27 July 1911.2 She died aged 99 in Maplewood, Ramsey County, MinnesotaG, on 26 December 2010.4
     In 1920 Melvin was living at 829 Shepard Street, RhinelanderG, in the household of his parents Charles and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Melvin Sackett, aged nine and born in Wisconsin.5
     In 1930 he was living at Shepard Street, RhinelanderG, in the household of his parents Charles and Mary, and was recorded as Melvin Sackett, a cook in a restaurant, aged 18.6

Merrill Cleveland Sackett, carpenter, son of Joseph Sackett Jr and Phylinda Cleveland, was born in New York StateG on 31 July 1817.1,2 He died aged 68 in Whitesville, Allegany County, New York StateG, on 1 March 18862 and was buried at the Old Cemetery, WhitesvilleG.2 He married in Allegany CountyG about 1840, Sarah Emily "Sally" Rice, daughter of Alexander S Rice and Sarah Jones.2
     In 1850 Merrill was living at Independence, Allegany County, New York StateG, and was recorded in the census as Merrill Sackett, a carpenter, aged 32 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Polly, 29, and their children, Morris, 8, Volney, 4, Lavern, 3, and Philander, aged one.3

William Milton Sackett, painter, truck driver, soldier, son of Ralph Howard Sackett and Flora Christina Jordan, was born in New London, WisconsinG, on 28 July 1920.1 He died aged 85 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, Waupaca County, WisconsinG, on 10 April 20062,3 and was buried at the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, KingG.5 He married first on 27 July 1946, Aleen Stephenson.4 He married second on 14 September 1954, Elizabeth Luedtke Tesch.4
     In 1930 William was living at New London Road, Hortonia, Outagamie County, WisconsinG, in the household of his parents Ralph and Flora, and was recorded in the census as William Sackett, aged nine and born in Wisconsin.6
     William enlisted in the US Army, Puerto Rican department, on 26 October 1939. He served in Europe during the Second World War and participated in the Battle of the Bulge.7
     In 1951 William and Aileen were living at 1620 North Charlotte, Appleton, Outagamie County, WisconsinG. William was a painter working for the Outdoor Advertising Company.8
