Mary Sackett, daughter of Thomas Sackett and Catherine Chambers, was born in Butler County, Ohio^G, on 18 March 1821.² She died aged 42 in Sangamon County, Illinois^G, on 9 May 1863 and was buried at the Old Salem Cemetery, Springfield, Sangamon County^G.² She married in Sangamon County^G on 21 November 1839, Rev Abraham Clay Gaines, son of Richard Hollinger Gaines and Amy Clay Green.^3,4 Abraham was born in Christian County, Kentucky^G, on 4 June 1814.^2,5 He died aged 78 on 2 July 1892 and was buried at Elk City Cemetery, Douglas County, Nebraska^G.²

Samuel Sackett, son of Thomas Sackett and Catherine Chambers, was born in Butler County, Ohio^G, in 1815.² He died aged about 76 in Ten Mile Community, Macon County, Missouri^G, on 14 August 1891² and was buried in the Ten Mile Cemetery, Macon County^G.² He married first in Sangamon County, Illinois^G, on 23 March 1837, Irene/Syrena Caroline Goodman.³ She died in Sangamon County^G on 13 January 1841.⁵ He married second in Sangamon County^G on 5 February 1843, Margarite Campbell.⁴ She was born in Ohio^G in 1824² and died aged 70 in Ten Mile Community^G on 4 April 1894.
     Samuel was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Sangamon County, Illinois^G.⁶
     In 1880 Samuel was living in Ten-Mile, Macon County^G, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sackett, a farmer, head of household, married, aged 65 and born in Ohio. Living with him were his wife, Margret, aged 55 and also born in Ohio, their children, Henry (24), Lewis (17), and Hatty (20), and their nine-year-old granddaughter, Emma Casen.⁷
     Samuel made his will in Ten Mile Township, Macon County, Missouri^G, on 25 June 1890, naming as beneficiaries his wife Margarite, his sons Enos, John, Reuben, Winfield, Henry, Thomas and Lewis, and his daughters Syrena, Leah and Harriet.⁸

Mariah Charlotte Witter, daughter of Hon Marshal B Witter and Martha Sackett, was born in Vermont^G in April 1833.¹ She died in Kirksville, Missouri^G, on 22 June 1933.¹ She married Col Oliver P Phillips.¹

Hattie May Phillips, daughter of Col Oliver P Phillips and Mariah Charlotte Witter, was born in Milan, Missouri^G, on 4 April 1863.¹ She died aged 96 in Kirksville, Missouri^G, on 21 October 1959.¹ She married Edward Webster Jones.¹

Clyde Edward Jones, son of Edward Webster Jones and Hattie May Phillips, was born in Greencaste, Sullivan County, Missouri^G, on 24 March 1893.¹ He died in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, California^G, in January 1962.¹ He married Alma Christine Johanson.¹

Milford F Sackett, son of Oramel Almeron Sackett and Susan Betts, was born in Michigan^G in April 1854.^3,4 He married first in Riga, Lenawee County, Michigan^G, on 3 August 1879, Angeline Young.^2,5 Angeline was born in Ohio^G about 1861.⁴ He married second in Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan^G, on 30 November 1889, Maria (Foor) Laizelere, daughter of John Foor.⁶ Maria was born in Michigan^G about 1854.⁴
     In 1910 he was living in Franklin, Lenawee County, Michigan^G, and was recorded as M F Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 55. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Myra, 55, and son Milton, aged 26.⁷
     In 1920, Milford's widow Maria, aged 64, was living in Franklin, Lenawee County, Michigan^G, in the household of her stepson Milton Sackett.⁸

John William Sackett, son of Milford F Sackett and Angeline Young, was born in Amboy, Fulton County, Ohio^G, on 15 July 1885.³ He died aged about 63 in 1948.³ He married Marie Manor.²
     John completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 33 and was living at Newport, Monroe County, Michigan^G, with his wife Marie. He was employed as a telegrapher at the New York Central Railroad. His left leg had been amputated below the knee.⁴
