Milford John Sackett, son of John William Sackett and Marie Manor, was born in Newport, Monroe County, Michigan^G, on 16 March 1915.¹ He died aged 68 in New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County, Florida^G, on 8 March 1984.¹ He married in Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan^G, on 19 May 1939, Leona M Horger.¹

Dorothy Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of William Warren Sackett and Garnett E Hill, was born in Lorain County, Ohio^G, on 26 January 1914.¹ She died aged 61 in Los Angeles, California^G, on 18 November 1975² and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Altadena, Los Angeles County^G.³ She married Don Heffner. Don was born in Rouzerville, Franklin County, Pennsylvania^G, on 8 February 1911.³ He died aged 78 in Pasadena, Los Angeles County^G, on 1 August 1989 and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery^G.³
     Don Heffner was a professional baseball player, coach and manager, and played for the New York Yankees in the 1930s.
     In 1920 Dorothy was living at Pyle Road, Russia Township, Lorain County, Ohio^G, in the household of her parents William and Garnett, and was recorded in the census as Dorothy Sackett, aged seven and born in Ohio.⁴
     In 1930 she was living at 16th Avenue South, St Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida^G, in the household of her parents William and Garnett, and was recorded as Dorothy E Sackett, aged 17 and born in Ohio.⁵
     Dorothy attended St Petersburg High School^G and was listed in the 1930 yearbook.⁶
     In December 1932 Dorothy won a photographic beauty contest and was named loveliest girl in Pinellas County, Florida.
     Dorothy was listed in the St Petersburg^G City Directory from 1933 to 1935, when she was a cashier.⁷
