Florence Sackett, daughter of Jeremiah Sackett and Mary Ann (Butler) Redman, was born in Thanet, KentG, on 22 December 18731,2,3 and baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, KentG, on 23 June 1889.4 She was probably the Florence Sackett aged 73 who died in SurreyG in 1946.7 She married at St George, RamsgateG, on 20 December 1898, Arthur Digerson Sackett, son of Henry Digerson Sackett and Mary Bird Sackett.5,6 Arthur and Florence were second cousins, both being great-grandchildren of Jeremiah and Sarah (Hodgeman) Sackett.
In 1891 Florence was living at the Crampton Hotel, 58 & 60 Harbour Street, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of her aunt Eliza Crampton, and was recorded in the census as Florence Sackett, an assistant (in the hotel), aged 17 and born in Ramsgate.8
In 1901 she was living at Terncot, Ellington Road, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of her husband Arthur, and was recorded as Florence Sackett, aged 27 and born in Ramsgate. Living with them were their son Arthur aged one, and Mary Sackett, Florence's 71-year-old widowed mother-in-law.9
At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Arthur and Florence were living at 40 Warten Road, RamsgateG. Their daughter Florence was living with them.10
