Sarah Ann Sackett, daughter of Edward Sackett and Sarah Sage, was baptized at St George, Ramsgate, KentG, on 31 May 1829.1 She died in infancy in RamsgateG on 20 January 1831 and was buried at Ebenezer Independent Chapel, RamsgateG, on 25 January 1831.2 She was buried in the same grave as her brothers Samuel and Edward who had been buried earlier in the month.

Edward Sackett, tailor, son of Edward Sackett and Sarah Sage, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, about 18321 and baptized at St George's Church, RamsgateG, on 5 February 1832.2 He died aged 76 at home at 86 Queen Street, RamsgateG, on 27 August 19083,4 and was buried at St Lawrence the Martyr, RamsgateG, on 29 August 1908.5 He was unmarried.
     In 1841 Edward was living at Hereson Road, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, in the household of his parents Edward and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Edward Sackett, aged nine and born in Kent.6
     In 1851 he was living at 34 Addington Place, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a tailor, unmarried, aged 19, and born at Ramsgate, son of Edward Sackett.7
     In 1861 he was living at 7 Spencer Square, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of his parents Edward and Sarah, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a tailor, unmarried, aged 29 and born in Ramsgate.8
     In 1881 he was living at 4 Paradise, RamsgateG, in the household of his brother Jeremiah, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a tailor, unmarried, aged 49 and born in Ramsgate.9
     In 1891 he was living at 4 Paradise Road, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a tailor, head of household, unmarried, aged 59, and born in Ramsgate.10
     In 1901 he was living at 4 Paradise Road, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a tailor working at home, head of household, single, aged 69 and born in Ramsgate.11
     Edward left a will which was proved in LondonG on 8 September 1908 by Emma Sage. His estate was valued at £330.12

     In 1841 Eliza was living at Hereson Road, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, in the household of her parents Edward and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Eliza Sackett, aged five and born in Kent.5
     In 1891 she was living at Crampton Hotel, 58 & 60 Harbour Street, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of her husband Robert Crampton, a hotel keeper, and was recorded as Eliza Crampton, aged 55, and born in Ramsgate. Living with them was Eliza's niece Florence, aged 17.6

Jeremiah Sackett, tailor of Ramsgate, Kent, son of Edward Sackett and Sarah Sage, was born in Thanet, KentG, about 18341 and baptized at St George, RamsgateG, on 1 May 1836.2 He died aged 56 in Thanet, KentG, in 1891.3 He married at St George, RamsgateG, on 24 August 1862, Mary Ann (Butler) Redman.4,5,6 She was born in 1831.7 She died aged 44 in RamsgateG on 28 August 18758,9 and was buried at St George's ChurchG on 1 September 1875.8

Henry Sackett, house decorator of Ramsgate, Kent, son of Edward Sackett and Sarah Sage, was born in Thanet, KentG, on 10 August 1841.1 He died aged 79 at home at 11 Queen Bertha Road, Ramsgate, KentG, on 8 October 1920.2,3 He married first at Ramsgate Christ ChurchG on 24 September 1864, Mary Ann Elizabeth Allen.4,5 She was born on 26 June 1841 and died aged 72 in Steyning, SussexG, in 1913.8 He married second in ThanetG in 1913, Cordelia Agnes Summerford.6,7 She was born in Clapham, LondonG, about 1862.9 She died aged 60 at home at 11 Queen Bertha Road, RamsgateG, on 10 February 1922.10,3
     In 1851 Henry was living at 34 Addington Place, RamsgateG, and was recorded in the census as Henry Sackett, aged 9, and born at St. Lawrence, son of Edward Sackett.11
     In 1861 he was living at 7 Spencer Square, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a painter, unmarried, aged 19 and born at St Lawrence, son of Edward Sackett.12
     In 1871 he was living at 86 Queen Street, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a painter, head of household, married, aged 29, and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Mary, aged 29, and born in Lambeth, and their children, George, 5, Harry, 4, Richard, 3, and Frederick, aged five months. Also in the household were a female general servant and a female nurse.13
     Henry was a Freemason, joining the Lewises Lodge, RamsgateG, on 9 February 1876.14
     In 1881 he was living at the House Decor Shop, 86 Queen Street, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a house decorator employing seven men and four boys, head of household, married, aged 39 and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Mary, 39, and their children, George, 15, Henry, 14, Richard, 12, Frederick, 11, Florence, 8, Ellen, 6, and Ernest, aged three. Also in the household was a female general domestic servant.15
     In 1891 he was living at 86 Queen Street, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a house decorator, head of household, married, aged 49, and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his children, Florence, 18, Ernest, 13, and Allen, aged nine. Also in the household was a boarder, Cordelia A Summerford, 29, later to become his second wife.16
     In 1901 he was living at 86 Queen Street, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a decorator & builder, an employer, head of household, aged 59. Also in the household were his son Alexander, 19, and Cordelia Summerford, 37.17
     In 1901 Henry's estranged wife Mary was living at 29 Goldstone Villas, Hove, SussexG, and was listed as Mary Sackett, head of household, married, aged 59, living on her own means. Her unmarried daughter Helen, 25, was living with her.18
     In 1911 he was living at 86 Queen Street, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a decorator and builder, an employer, head of household, aged 69 and born in Ramsgate. Cordelia Agnes Summerford, 48, was also in the household.19

     Henry left a will which was proved on 4 November 1920 by his widow Cordelia. His estate was valued at £5,202.20
     In 1921 Henry's widow Cordelia was living at 11 Queen Bertha Road, St Lawrence in ThanetG, and was recorded in the census as Cordelia Agnes Sackett, a widow, head of household, aged 56.21
     Henry's widow Cordelia left a will which was proved in LondonG on 21 April 1922. Her estate was valued at £808.22

Edward Richard Sackett, son of Edward Lawrence Sackett and Sarah May, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, in 18431,2 and baptized at St George's Church, RamsgateG, on 19 March 1843.3 He died aged 48 in Catherington, HampshireG, in December 1891.4 He married in the Registrar's Office, Isle of Wight, HampshireG, in 1871, Harriet Cotton.5,6 She was born in Margate, KentG, about 1845.7
     Edward enlisted for ten years as a boy entrant in the Royal Navy, serving from 17 February 1859 on HMS Victory.8
     In 1881 Edward was living at 7 Havant Street (Princess Alexandra), Portsea, HampshireG, and was recorded in the census as Edward Sackett, a Greenwich pensioner, a beer retailer, head of household, married, aged 40, and born in Ramsgate. Living with him was his wife Harriet, aged 35, and born in Margate, Kent.9
     In 1891 he was living at 78 Kilmiston Street, PortseaG, and was recorded as Edward Sackett, a labourer, head of household, married, aged 50 and born in Ramsgate. Living with him was his wife Harriet, aged 42.10

Henry Digerson Sackett, painter and decorator, son of Thomas Sackett and Maria Diggerson, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, on 21 February 18281 and baptized at Ebenezer Independent Chapel, RamsgateG, on 30 March 1828.1 He was baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, KentG, on 15 March 1835.2 He died aged 68 at home at 25 Liverpool Lawn, RamsgateG, on 12 February 1897.3,4 He married at St Lawrence in ThanetG on 30 April 1859, Mary Bird Sackett, daughter of Henry Sackett and Elizabeth Mary Elgar.5,6,7 Henry and Mary were first cousins, both being grandchildren of Jeremiah & Sarah (Hodgeman) Sackett.
     In 1851 Henry was living at 8 Sion Hill, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Henry D Sackett, an artist, unmarried, aged 23, born in Ramsgate, son of Thomas Sackett. Henry's occupation as stated in later records suggests a probable misunderstanding on the part of the enumerator who may have taken "painter" to mean "artist."8
     In 1861 Henry was living at 6 Royal Crescent, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Henry D Sackett, house decorator, head of household, married, aged 33, born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Mary B, aged 36?, also born in Ramsgate, his parents Thomas & Maria Sackett, a cousin, Ann Digerson, and a female servant.9
     In 1871 he was living at 21 Liverpool Lawn, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded as Henry D Sackett, a master painter & house decorator employing 2 men & 1 apprentice, head of household, married, aged 41 and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Mary, aged 42 and also born in Ramsgate, and their sons, Thomas (8) and Arthur (5.)10
     In 1891 he was living at 23 Liverpool Lawn, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Henry D Sackett, a house decorator, head of household, married, aged 62 and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Mary, 61, and unmarried son Arthur, 25.11
     Henry's will, made at RamsgateG, was proved at Canterbury on 15 March 1897. His estate was valued at £1,390, and the executors were his wife Mary Bird Sackett and son Arthur Digerson Sackett.12
