Edward Jeremiah Sackett, shipwright, of Bermondsey, Surrey, son of Edward Newing Sackett and Ann ___, was born in Rotherhithe, SurreyG, on 20 August 1816.1 He was baptized at St Mary's Church, RotherhitheG, on 15 September 1816.1 He died aged 25 in BermondseyG,2 and was buried at St James' Church, BermondseyG, on 25 August 1841.3
     In 1841 Edward was living at George Row, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, SurreyG, in the household of his parents Edward and Ann, and was recorded in the census as Edward Sackett, an apprentice shipwright, aged 20 [rounded down] and born in Surrey.4

Benjamin Sackett Cox, miller and Wesleyan preacher of Hythe, Kent, son of Benjamin Sackett and Ann Cox, was born in St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, on 4 July 1811.1,2 He was baptized at St Lawrence in ThanetG on 18 October 1811.3 He died aged 74 in Hythe, Elham, KentG, on 8 June 1885.4,5 He married first at St George, RamsgateG, in 1834, Mary Ann Cooper.6 Mary was born about 1809. She died in childbirth aged 33 in Elham, KentG, in November 18429 and was buried at HytheG on 17 November 1842.10 Benjamin married second in ElhamG in 1844, Lucy Lee.7 Lucy was born about 180211 and died aged 65 in ElhamG in 1868.12,13 He married third in ElhamG on 25 December 1871, Emily Day.8 Emily was born in HytheG about 183614 and died aged 84 in ElhamG in 1920.15 He was to inherit one of three houses, the one "nearest the Queen's highway", at Northwood, St Lawrence, and was required to pay a sum of £6 to his grandfather's great-niece (and housekeeper) Ann Darby, who was to continue to occupy one of the houses as housekeeper to Benjamin's great-uncle Edward Sackett.
     Benjamin was named as a beneficiary in his grandfather Jeremiah Sackett's will made in Northwood, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, on 12 March 1838.16
     In 1841 Benjamin was living at Slade Street, St Leonard, Hythe, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Benjamin Sackett, a miller, aged 30 and born in Kent. Living with him were his wife Mary, 30, and their sons, Benjamin, 7, Jeremiah, 5, and Jabez, aged ten months.17
     In 1851 he was living at 30 Slade Street, HytheG, and was recorded as Benjamin Sackett, head of household, a miller, aged 39 and born at St Lawrence, Kent. Living with him were his wife Lucy, and his sons, Benjamin (16), Jeremiah (14), and Jabez (10.)18
     In 1861 he was living at Slade Street, HytheG, and was recorded as Benjamin Sackett, head of household, a miller and Wesleyan local preacher, aged 49 and born in St Lawrence, Kent. Living with him was his wife Lucy, aged 59 and born in Bethersden. Also in the household was a 15-year-old house servant, Alice Shrubsole.19
     In 1871 he was living at Slade Street, HytheG, and was recorded as Benjamin Sackett, a miller & Wesleyan preacher, head of household, a widower, aged 59, and born in St Lawrence.20
     In 1881 he was living at Slade Street, St Leonard, HytheG, and was recorded as Benjamin Sackett, miller & Methodist local preacher, head of household, married, aged 69, and born in St Lawrence. Living with him was his third wife Emily, aged 45, and born in Hythe.21
     Benjamin's will, made at Hythe, Kent, was proved at Canterbury on 16 July 1885, the estate being valued at £645.22
     In 1891 Benjamin's widow was living at Slade Street, HytheG, and was recorded in the census as Emily Sackett, head of household, a widow living on her own means, aged 55, and born in Hythe.23
     In 1901 she was living at 32 Stade Street, HytheG, and was recorded as Emily Sackett, head of household, a widow aged 65, living on her own means, and born in Hythe.24
     In 1911 she was living at 32 Stade Street, HytheG, and was recorded as Emily Sackett, a widow, living on private means, head of household, aged 75 and born in Hythe.25

Jeremiah Sackett, gardener of St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent, son of Benjamin Sackett and Mary Gore, was born in 1816. He was baptized at St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, on 10 November 1816.1 He died aged 44 in RamsgateG on 2 September 1860, described in his obituary notice as gardener for many years to J A Warre MP at West Cliff, Ramsgate.2,3,4 He was buried at St Lawrence in ThanetG on 9 September 1860.7,8 He married at St Mary's Church, Lambeth, SurreyG, on 19 May 1840, Dinah Farley, daughter of George Farley.5,6 Dinah was born in RamsgateG between 1806 and 1815.9 She died aged 82 in Canterbury, KentG, on 30 January 188910,11 and was buried at St Lawrence in ThanetG on 6 February 1889.12,13
     In 1851 Jeremiah was living at Pegwell, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, and was recorded in the census as J Sackett, a gardener, head of household, married, aged 34, and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Dinah, aged 36, and born in Ramsgate, and their children, Frances, 10, Alfred, 9, Emily, 6, and Isabel, aged two.14
     In 1861 Jeremiah's widow Dinah was living at 1 George Place, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Dinah Sackett, a dressmaker, head of household, a widow, aged 49, and born in Ramsgate. Living with her were her daughters, Isabel aged 11, and Kate aged 9.15
     In 1871 she was living at 23 Alexander Villas, Cumberland Road, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded as Dinah Sackett, a dressmaker, head of household, a widow, aged 62, and born in Ramsgate. Living with her was her unmarried daughter Emily, aged 26.16
     In 1881 she was living at 25 Cumberland Road, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded as Dinah Sackett, a former dressmaker, head of household, a widow, aged 71, and born in Ramsgate. Living with her was her unmarried daughter Emily, a dressmaker, aged 36.17
