Orrin D Sackett, son of John Sacket and Rachel Morse, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 26 October 1814.¹ He died there aged 71 on 21 February 1886^1,2 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.⁶ He married first in Westfield^G in October 1839, Julia E Ensign, daughter of James Ensign and May ___.^1,3 Julia was born in Westfield^G on 2 July 1821.⁷ She died there aged 56 on 20 April 1878⁸ and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery^G.⁶ He married second in West Springfield, Hampden County^G, on 7 August 1878, Mary Ann Morse, daughter of William Morse and Ann ___, and widow of his first cousin Francis Sackett.^1,4,5 Mary was born in England^G in 1831.^9,7 She died aged 73 in Westfield^G on 11 December 1904 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery^G.⁶
     Orrin was named as the main beneficiary in his father's will made in Westfield^G on 16 July 1839. He was to receive the residue of the estate after token bequests to his two married sisters, Roxana and Eunice, with the proviso that he provide home and maintenance for his unmarried sisters, Anne, Cordelia, Clarissa, and Melissa.¹⁰

     In 1850 Orrin was living in Lockport, Niagara County, New York State^G, and was recorded in the census as Orrin Sacket, a laborer, aged 35. Living with him were his wife Julia, 31, and their son William, aged nine.¹²
     In 1860 he was living in Agawam, Hampden County^G, and was recorded as Orrin D Sackett, a farmer, aged 40 [actually 45]. His wife Julia, 36, was living with him.¹³
     In 1870 he was living in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut^G, and was recorded as Orrin D Sackett, a whip maker, aged 54. His wife Julia, 50, was living with him.¹⁴
     In 1880 he was living in 576 Clinton Avenue, Westfield^G, and was recorded as Orrin Sackett, a worker in a whip shop, aged 65. He was noted as suffering from apoplexy. Living with him were his second wife, Mary, 48, and her daughter Emma, 22. Also in the household were William Morse, 47, probably Mary's brother, and his son George, aged four months.¹⁵

Roxana Sacket, daughter of John Sacket and Rachel Morse, was born on 19 January 1819.¹ She died aged 23 of tuberculosis in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 11 May 1842^2,3 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.⁵ She married in Westfield^G on 15 November 1837, Captain Nathan Noble, son of Henry Noble and Sally Fowler.^4,1 Nathan was born in Westfield^G on 9 November 1815.⁶ After Roxana's death Nathan married her sister Ann. He died aged 70 in Westfield^G on 19 August 1886 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.⁵

     In 1900 she was living at Hebron Street, Springfield^G, in the household of her widowed son-in-law Edward Bacon, and was recorded as Cordelia A Sackett, a widow, aged 78.⁹

Clarissa Sacket, daughter of John Sacket and Rachel Morse, was born on 24 July 1826.¹ She died aged 74 in Southwick, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 23 May 1899.² She married in Westfield, Hampden County^G, on 16 April 1850, Aaron Weller Dewey, son of Daniel Dewey and Betsey ___.^1,3,4 Aaron was born in Westfield^G about 1825.

George Sacket, whip maker, son of Heman Sackett and Experience Searle, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 15 October 1808^1,2 and died there on 2 July 1879.² He married in Westfield^G on 17 October 1831, Lucy Asenath "Betsey" Cowles.^3,4

     In 1860 he was living in Westfield^G and was recorded as George Sacket, a lash cutter, aged 51. Living with him were his wife Lucy, 45, and their children, Mary, 21, Ellen, 19, and George, aged six.⁷
     In 1870 he was living in Westfield^G and was recorded as George Sackett, a lash maker, aged 61, and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Lucy, aged 53, and born in Massachusetts, son George Arthur, aged 16, and mother Experience, aged 82. George and Lucy's daughters, Mary, 32, and Ellen, 29, were also in the household with their husbands, respectively, John Henry Smith and Hartley Shattuck.⁸
     George was included in a list of principal tax payers of Westfield published in the Westfield News-Letter in August 1872.⁹
     In 1880 George's widow Lucy was living in Westfield^G and was recorded in the census as Lucy A Sackett, head of household, aged 65. Living with her were her daughter Ellen Shattuck, son-in-law Hartley Shattuck, and her sister Nancy Johnson.¹⁰

Austin Sackett, whip maker, son of Heman Sackett and Experience Searle, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, in 1812.¹ He died there on 19 July 1878² and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.⁴ He married in Westfield^G on 2 May 1837, Charlotte Hayes, daughter of Moses Hayes.³ Charlotte was born about 1819.⁵ She died aged 74 in Westfield^G on 22 March 1894⁶ and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery^G.⁴
     Austin was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Westfield^G.⁷
     In 1870 Austin was living at Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, and was recorded in the census as Austin Sackett, working in a whip shop, aged 57, and born in Massachusetts. Living with him was his wife Charlotte, aged 50, and born in Massachusetts, and their children, De Witt, 24, Augusta, 17, and Katie, aged 15.⁸
