Henry Sackett, farmer of Northdown, St John in Thanet, son of Henry Sackett and Mary Sandwell, was born in St John in Thanet, KentG, on 1 June 1776 and baptized there on 23 June 1776.1 He died aged 702 and was buried at St John in ThanetG on 24 December 1846.4 He married at St Peter in ThanetG on 12 October 1804, Mary Brasier, his second cousin, daughter of John Church Brasier and Mary Sackett.3 Mary Brasier was born in St Peter in ThanetG on 15 April 1784 and baptized there on 9 May 1784.5 She died aged 576 and was buried at St John in ThanetG on 3 February 1841.7
In 1841 Henry was living at West Northdown, St John, MargateG, in the household of his son Henry, and was recorded in the census as Henry Sackett, of independent means, aged 65 and born in Kent.8

Mary Sandwell Sackett, daughter of Henry Sackett and Mary Sandwell, was born in St John in Thanet, KentG, on 3 February 1780 and baptized there on 1 March 1780.1 She died aged 33 and was buried at St Peter in ThanetG on 23 May 1813.4 She married at St Peter in ThanetG on 19 September 1804, Daniel Church Brasier, her second cousin, son of John Church Brasier and Mary Sackett.2,3 Daniel was born in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 27 April 1778 and baptized there on 1 May 1778.5 After her death, Daniel married second at St Peter in ThanetG on 2 June 1814, Elizabeth Horn.6 Daniel died aged 53 in St Peter in ThanetG on 26 July 1831.7

William Sackett, waggoner and postmaster, son of William Sackett and Anne Ansell, was baptized in Birchington, KentG, on 28 April 1771.1 He died aged 90 in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 10 November 18612,3 and was buried there on 16 November 1861.5 He married at St Peter in ThanetG on 15 October 1797, Elizabeth Holt, daughter of George Holt and Sarah ___.4 Elizabeth was baptized at St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, on 17 November 1771.6 She died aged 737,8 and was buried at St Peter in ThanetG on 2 July 1845.8
In 1841 William was living in St Peter in ThanetG and was recorded in the census as William Sackett, a coach maker, aged 65 and born in Kent. Living with him was his wife Elizabeth, 65. Also in the household were their daughter Hannah, son-in-law James Pay, and their children, Charlotte, 15, Jane, 10, Elizabeth, 9, and Sarah, 6.9
In 1851 he was living at 26 High Street, St Peter's, KentG, in the household of his son-in-law, James Pay, and daughter, Hannah, and was recorded as William Sackett, former postmaster, a widower, blind, aged 80 and born in Birchington.10

Thomas Sackett, shipwright, son of William Sackett and Anne Ansell, was born in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 9 December 1777 and baptized there on 25 December 1777.1 He died aged 79 in Hereson, St Lawrence in ThanetG, on 30 August 18572,3,4 and was buried at the Ebenezer Independent Chapel, RamsgateG, on 3 September 1857.3 He married in St Lawrence in ThanetG on 17 June 1804, Mary Ansell.5 Mary was born in St LawrenceG about 1778.6,7 She died aged 93 at HeresonG on 23 February 18728,9 and was buried at the Ebenezer Independent ChapelG on 29 February 1872.9
In 1841 Thomas was living at Hereson, St Lawrence in ThanetG, and was recorded in the census as Thomas Sackett, a carpenter, aged 60+ and born in Kent. Living with him were his wife Mary, also 60+, and children, Mary, 30+, Elizabeth, 20+, and William, 19. Thomas and Mary's son Thomas was living next door.10
In 1851 he was living at Hereson, St Lawrence in ThanetG, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, a shipwright, head of household, married, aged 73 and born in St Peter in Thanet. Living with him were his wife Mary, aged 72, born in St Lawrence, their daughter Elizabeth aged 32, and their granddaughter Rachel, aged 10.11 [The parents of the 10-year-old Rachel Sackett have not been identified. A record has not been found in the GRO indexes.]
Thomas made his will in Hereson, St Lawrence in ThanetG, on 14 June 1844, naming as beneficiaries his wife Mary, his sons Thomas, William and George, and his daughters Sarah, Mary and Elizabeth.12 He left all his personal estate (valued at under £100) to his wife Mary, and she was to have the freehold property for life. After her death the property was to be sold and the proceeds divided equally among the children. Thomas stated in his will that his daughter Sarah was to be treated as a daughter in wedlock. Her baptism record gave her mother's name as Sarah, not Mary, although Thomas and Mary had been married for a year before Sarah's birth. The will was proved at Canterbury on 7 August 1858.

Harriet Sackett, daughter of William Sackett and Anne Ansell, was born in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 24 December 17801 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 7 January 1781.1 She died aged 62 in Ramsgate, KentG,2 and was buried at St George, RamsgateG, on 8 October 1843.4 She married at St Peter in ThanetG on 8 December 1798, James Jarman.3 James was born about 1775.5 He died aged 69 in RamsgateG,6 and was buried at St George, RamsgateG, on 31 March 1845.7
In 1841 Harriet was living in RamsgateG in the household of her husband James, 65, a bricklayer's labourer, and was recorded in the census as Harriot Jarman, aged 60 and born in Kent. Living with them was their son Samuel, aged 25.8
