Thomas Isaac Jarman, labourer, boatman, son of James Jarman and Harriet Sackett, was baptized at St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, on 27 April 1806.1 He married first in Ramsgate, KentG, on 23 August 1829, Sarah Ann Stokes.2 Sarah was born about 1807.5 She died aged 33 in ThanetG in 1841.6 He married second in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 26 May 1841, Elizabeth Smith (Streaem) Hammond, daughter of Thomas Streaem.3,4 Elizabeth was born in Dover, KentG, about 1799.7 She died aged 59 in ThanetG in 18588 and was buried on 21 October 1858.9
     In 1841 Thomas was living at Frederick Place, St Lawrence in ThanetG, and was recorded in the census as Thomas Jarman, a labourer, aged 35 and born in Kent. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, 40, and Thomas's children by his first marriage, Sarah, 11, and Thomas, aged eight.10
     In 1851 he was living at 6 Frederick PlaceG and was recorded as Thomas Jarman, a boatman, head of household, aged 45 and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, 52, a laundress, their daughter Ann, 7, and Elizabeth's daughter Mary, 16, from her previous marriage.11
     In 1861 he was living at Hereson, St Lawrence in ThanetG, and was recorded as Thomas Jarman, a mason's labourer, head of household, a widower, aged 54. His daughter Ann, 16, was living with him.12

William Sackett Jarman, grocer, son of James William Jarman and Mary Kirby, was born in Herne, KentG, in 18361 and baptized there on 6 June 1836.2 He married first at the Independent Chapel, Ramsgate, KentG, on 25 March 1856, Elizabeth Sarah Offen.3,4 She was born in RamsgateG in 18357 and died in 1873.8 He married second in Thanet, KentG, in 1874, Eliza Ann White.5 She was born about 18459 and died aged 32 in Dartford, KentG, in 1878.10 He married third in Islington, MiddlesexG, in 1880, Eliza Williams.6 She was born in Deal, KentG, about 1845.1
     In 1851 William was living at 13 Alfred Cottages, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of his parents James and Mary, and was recorded in the census as William S Jarman, a grocer's boy, aged 14 and born in Herne.11
     In 1881 he was living at 35 Great Queen Street, Dartford, KentG, and was recorded as William S Jarman, a grocer, head of household, married, aged 44 and born in Kent. Living with him were his third wife Eliza, 35, and children from his first marriage, Kate, 15, and William, 12.12

William Sackett Jarman, mariner, son of James Jarman and Harriet Sackett, was born in St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, in 1819 and baptized there on 16 May 1819.1 He died aged 67 in Dunedin, Otago, New ZealandG, on 11 June 1886 and was buried at Port Chalmers Cemetery, DunedinG.4 He married in Ramsgate, KentG, on 16 June 1842, Sarah Elizabeth Goldsmith.2,3
     In 1851 William was living at Cliff Court, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded in the census as William S Jarman, a mariner, head of household, aged 32 and born in Ramsgate. His wife Sarah, 29, was living with him.5
