Ethel Sackett, daughter of Frank David Sackett and Rose E Gifford, was born in New York State^G in December 1898.¹ She married first in Albany, New York State^G, on 30 May 1916, William Cogswill, son of William Cogswill and Ida Scott.² William was born in Riverside, Suffolk County, New York State^G, about 1894.⁴ She married second in Binghamton, Broome County, New York State^G, on 22 December 1919, Carl Van Dusen.³
     In 1900 Ethel was living at Great Bend Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of her parents Frank and Rose, and was recorded in the census as Ethel Sackett, aged one and born in Pennsylvania.⁵
     In 1905 she was living at Binghamton, Broome County, New York State^G, in the household of her parents Frank and Rose, and was recorded as Ethel Sackett, at school, aged six.⁶
     In 1910 she was living in Hallstead Borough, Susquehanna County^G, in the household of her parents Frank and Rose, and was recorded as Ethel Sackett, aged ten [actually 11] and born in Pennsylvania.⁷
     In 1920 she was living in Binghamton, Broome County, New York State^G, and was recorded as Ethel Van Dusen, a telephone operator, married, aged 21 and born in New York. She was living with her husband Carl Van Dusen, 24, a railroad carpenter, in the household of her parents Frank and Rose Sackett.⁸
     In 1930 she was living in Binghamton^G in the household of her husband Carl, 35, a clerk, and was recorded as Ethel Van Dusen, aged 32 and born in New York. Living with them were their daughter Julia, 8, and Ethel's parents Frank and Rose Sackett.⁹

Lillian Sackett, daughter of Albert Edward "Bert" Sackett and Mae Lillian Sweet, was born in Hallstead, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 31 December 1909.¹
     In 1910 Lillian was living in Hallstead^G and was recorded in the census as Lillian Sackett, aged four months and born in Pennsylvania. She was living with her parents Bert and Mae in the household of her father's parents Frank and Rose.²

Julia Van Dusen, daughter of Carl Van Dusen and Ethel Sackett, was born in New York State^G about 1921.

     In 1910 Veda was living at Morgan Road, Plymouth Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio^G, in the household of her parents Orian and Bertha, and was recorded in the census as Veda Calaway, aged nine and born in Ohio.²
     In 1920 she was living at Main Road, Gustavus, Trumbull County, Ohio^G, in the household of her parents Orian and Bertha, and was recorded as Veda Calloway, aged 18.³

Howard Morgan Calaway, known as Morgan, son of Orian Clyde Calaway and Bertha Viola Sackett, was born in Plymouth, Ashtabula County, Ohio^G, on 7 June 1902.¹
     In 1910 Howard was living at Morgan Road, Plymouth Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio^G, in the household of his parents Orian and Bertha, and was recorded in the census as Morgan Calaway, aged seven and born in Ohio.²
     In 1920 he was living at Main Road, Gustavus, Trumbull County, Ohio^G, in the household of his parents Orian and Bertha, and was recorded as Morgan C Calloway, a laborer, aged 17.³
     In 1930 he was living in Gustavus^G in the household of his parents Orian and Bertha, and was recorded as Morgan Calaway, a highway foreman, aged 28.⁴

Kenneth Calaway, son of Orian Clyde Calaway and Bertha Viola Sackett, was born in Plymouth, Ashtabula County, Ohio^G, on 2 January 1905.¹
     In 1910 Kenneth was living at Morgan Road, Plymouth Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio^G, in the household of his parents Orian and Bertha, and was recorded in the census as Keneth Calaway, aged six and born in Ohio.²
     In 1920 he was living at Main Road, Gustavus, Trumbull County, Ohio^G, in the household of his parents Orian and Bertha, and was recorded as Kenneth Calloway, aged 15.³

Sarah Sackett, daughter of Jonathan Sackett and ___ ___, was born about 1767.^1,2 She died aged 84 in Oxford, New Haven County, Connecticut^G, on 6 September 1851^1,2 and was buried at St Peter's Episcopal Cemetery, Oxford^G.³ She married Reuben Bunnell, son of Benjamin Bunnell and Ruth Smith.^1,2 Reuben was born in Derby, New Haven County^G, on 24 December 1765.¹ He died aged 87 in Oxford^G on 31 January 1853^1,4 and was buried at St Peter's Episcopal Cemetery^G.³

John Sackett, son of Jonathan Sackett and ___ ___, was born, presumably in New Haven County, Connecticut^G, say 1770.¹ He married first Sarah Terrill, daughter of Phineas Terrill and Mary Johnson.¹ Sarah was born about 1773.¹ She died aged 21 in Bethany, New Haven County, Connecticut^G, on 12 January 1794.¹ He married second Mary (Wheeler) Briscoe, daughter of James Wheeler and Mary Clark.¹ Mary was born in Derby, New Haven County^G, on 4 February 1768.¹ She died aged 86 in Bethany^G on 11 September 1854.¹
     John was listed in the 1800 census as a householder in Woodbridge, New Haven County^G.²

Phebe Sackett, daughter of Jonathan Sackett and ___ ___, was born, presumably in Connecticut^G, say 1772.¹ She died on 19 November 1836 and was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Egremont, Berkshire County, Massachusetts^G.² She married Samuel Sawyer Jr, son of Samuel Sawyer.¹ Samuel Sawyer Jr was born in Cornwall, Litchfield County, Connecticut^G, on 3 January 1771.³ He died aged 85 in Alford, Berkshire County, Massachusetts^G, on 1 September 1856⁴ and was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Egremont^G.²
     In 1805 Samuel and Phebe were living in Cornwall, Litchfield County^G.¹

William O Sackett, son of Jonathan Sackett and ___ ___, was born in Connecticut^G about 1775.^1,2 He died aged 83 in Bethany, New Haven County, Connecticut^G, on 4 February 1858.² He married Polly Ann ___.
     William was listed in the census in 1800 and 1810 as a householder in Woodbridge, New Haven County^G.^3,4
     William and Polly sold a parcel of land in Woodbridge, New Haven County^G, on 27 January 1815, the signing of the deed being witnessed by their daughter Polly Riggs three months after her marriage.⁵
     William was listed in the census in 1820 and 1830 as a householder in Oxford, New Haven County^G.^6,7 In 1840 he was a householder in Bethany, New Haven County^G.⁸
     The selectmen of Bethany^G appointed an overseer on 8 January 1848 to manage William's financial affairs for a year, having determined that he was spending his estate and likely to become a burden on the town.⁹

Joseph Sackett, son of Jonathan Sackett and ___ ___, was born in Connecticut^G about 1774.^1,2,3 He died aged 75 in Stockton, Chautauqua County, New York State^G, on 19 September 1849⁴ and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Stockton^G.⁷ He married Sarah L ___.^5,6 Sarah was born in Connecticut^G about 1794.^2,5 She died aged 58 on 5 July 1852 and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Stockton^G.⁷
     Joseph was listed in the census in 1800 and 1810 as a householder in Fairfield, Herkimer County, New York State^G.^8,9 He was assessed for tax on real estate valued at $325 in Fairfield^G in 1801.¹⁰ He was also recorded there in 1806.¹ In 1820 he was a householder in Chautauqua, Chautauqua County^G.¹¹ In 1830 and 1840 he was a householder in Stockton, Chautauqua County^G.^12,13
     Joseph made his will in Stockton^G on 17 July 1849. He left half of his estate, real and personal, to his wife Sarah, with reversion to their son George, who was also to inherit the rest of the estate.
     In 1850 Joseph's widow Sarah, 54, was living in Stockton^G with her son George.¹⁴

David Sackett, son of Jonathan Sackett and ___ ___, was born in Connecticut^G about 1780.^1,2 He died aged about 78 on 4 April 1859 and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Sinclairville, Chautauqua County, New York State^G.³ He married Lydia Greenfield, daughter of Bethuel Greenfield and Lydia Rose. Lydia was born in New York State^G about 1781.² She died aged about 72 on 25 November 1853.³
     David was assessed for tax on real estate valued at $175 in Herkimer, New York State^G, in 1804.⁴
     David was listed in the 1810 census as a householder in Fairfield, Herkimer County, New York State^G.⁵ He was living in Fairfield^G in 1812.¹ He was living in Chautauqua, Chautauqua County^G, in 1820, in Pomfret, Chautauqua County, in 1830, and in Stockton, Chautauqua County, in 1840.^6,7,8
     In 1850 David was living in Sheridan, Chautauqua County^G, and was recorded in the census as David Sacket, a farmer, aged 70 and born in Connecticut. His farm was valued at $2,800. His wife Lydia, 69, was living with him.⁹
     In 1855 he was living in Charlotte, Chautauqua County^G, in the household of his daughter Timandra and son-in-law Emory Warren, and was recorded as David Sacket, aged 75.¹⁰
