Polly Sackett, daughter of William O Sackett and Polly Ann ___, was born in ConnecticutG about 1796.1 She died aged 97 in Ellington, Tolland County, ConnecticutG, on 18 August 18932 and was buried at Ellington Center CemeteryG.4 She married on 29 October 1814, probably in Oxford, New Haven County, ConnecticutG, Daniel Riggs, son of David Riggs and Hannah Wheeler.3 Daniel was born about 17985 and died in Waterbury, New Haven CountyG, on 12 November 1856.6 Daniel was under age when he married and his father David evidently did not approve. He posted a newspaper notice on 7 November 1814, effectively disowning his son.7 Polly and Daniel divorced in August 1840.8
     In 1850 Polly was living in Woodbury, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, and was recorded in the census as Polly Riggs, aged 55 and born in Connecticut. Her daughter Jane, 17, was living with her.9
     In 1870 she was living in Seymour, New Haven CountyG, in the household of Eliza Sperry, 28, and was recorded as Polly Riggs, aged 74 and born in Connecticut. Also in the household were Eliza's brother Howard Sackett, 18, and sister Emma Sackett, 10. Polly was the aunt of these three siblings.10
     In 1880 she was living in Seymour, New Haven County, ConnecticutG, in the household of her widowed daughter Jane Woodworth, and was recorded as Polly Riggs, a widow, aged 83. They were living next door to Minerva Sackett, 63, widow of Polly's brother William Washington Sackett, William and Minerva's widowed daughter Eliza Sperry, 37, and Eliza's son Willie, 14.11

Jane E Riggs, daughter of Daniel Riggs and Polly Sackett, was born in ConnecticutG about 1833.1 She married ___ Woodworth. He died before 1880.
     In 1850 Jane was living in Woodbury, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of her mother Polly, and was recorded in the census as Jane Riggs, aged 17 and born in Connecticut.2
     In 1880 Jane was living in Seymour, New Haven County, ConnecticutG, and was recorded in the census as Jane E Woodworth, a worker in the paper mill, a widow, aged 47 and born in Connecticut. Her widowed mother Polly Riggs, 83, was living with her. Also in the household was a boarder, Henry Buckingham, 51.3

Harriet Riggs, daughter of Daniel Riggs and Polly Sackett, was born in Watertown, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 27 September 1817.1 She died aged 83 in Thomaston, Litchfield CountyG, on 28 August 1901.1 She married first in Oxford, New Haven County, ConnecticutG, on 28 March 1834, Jason Talmage.2 They divorced in 1837.2 She married second about 1839, Wheeler Atwood.3 Wheeler was born in ConnecticutG on 8 December 17784,5 and died aged 80 on 28 May 1859.6,7
