Albert Edward "Bert" Sackett, son of Frank David Sackett and Rose E Gifford, was born in Liberty, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 27 July 1891.¹ He died aged 62 in Johnson City, Broome County, New York State^G, on 21 November 1953.² He married in Hallstead, Susquehanna County^G, on 21 September 1909, Mae Lillian Sweet, daughter of Lewis Sweet and Sarah Mason.^3,4 Mae Lillian Sweet, daughter of Lewis Sweet and Sarah Mason, was born in Binghamton, Broome County, New York State^G, probably on 20 June 1894, the records giving various dates.^3,5,6,7 She died, probably aged 55, in Johnson City^G on 25 November 1949 and was buried at Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City^G.^6,8
     In 1900 Albert was living at Great Bend Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of his parents Frank and Rose, and was recorded in the census as Bertie Sackett, aged nine and born in Pennsylvania.⁹
     In 1905 he was living at Binghamton, Broome County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Frank and Rose, and was recorded as Bert E Sackett, at school, aged 13.¹⁰
     In 1910 he was living in Hallstead Borough, Susquehanna County^G, in the household of his parents Frank and Rose, and was recorded as Bert Sackett, a grocery store clerk, aged 19 and born in Pennsylvania. Living with him were his wife May and four-month-old daughter Lillian.¹¹
     In 1920 he was living at State Street, Binghamton^G, and was recorded as Bert Sackett, a factory laborer, head of household, aged 29. Living with him were his wife Mae, 24, and their sons, Floyd, 7, and Edward, aged four.¹²
     In 1930 he was living at Afton Street, Binghamton^G, and was recorded as Bert Sackett, a shoe factory worker, head of household, aged 39. Living with him were his wife Mae, 34, and their sons, Floyd, 18, and Edward, 14.¹³

Floyd Lewis Sackett, son of Albert Edward "Bert" Sackett and Mae Lillian Sweet, was born on 17 April 1912.¹ He died aged 59 on 24 August 1971.¹ He married first Arlene Marie Severance.¹ He married second Ruth Joy.¹
     In 1920 Floyd was living at State Street, Binghamton, Broome County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Bert and Mae, and was recorded in the census as Floyd Sackett, aged seven and born in New York.²
     In 1930 he was living at Afton Street, Binghamton^G, in the household of his parents Bert and Mae, and was recorded as Floyd Sackett, a tree surgeon, aged 18.³
     In 1950 he was living at 515 West Main Street, Susquehanna Depot, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, and was recorded as Floyd L Sackett, a roofer, head of household, aged 36. Living with him were his wife Ruth, 30, a vamper in a shoe company, and their newborn son Timothy.⁴

Frank David Sackett, teamster, railroad carpenter, son of Charles E Sackett and Hannah Catherine Osterhout, was born in Hallstead, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 25 November 1865.^1,2,3 He died aged 88 in Binghamton State Hospital, Broome County, New York State^G, on 24 January 1954^4,5 and was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Binghamton^G.⁷ He married in Windsor, Broome County, New York State^G, on 4 October 1888, Rose E Gifford.^1,6 Rose was born in New York State^G in December 1869.¹ She died in 1939 and was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hallstead^G.⁷
     Nothing is known of Frank's early upbringing. Census records for him in 1870 and 1880 have not been found. As far as is known, his parents, Charles and Hannah, were not married, Charles probably being married to Augusta McDonald at the time of Frank's birth. A record for his mother Hannah in 1880 reveals that she had by then married Eli Mott and, at the date of the census, was living with Eli, their three children, and Frank's sister Carrie, then aged 14. Frank was not in this household.
     Identification of Frank's parents is taken from his marriage record when he named them as Chas E Sackett and Hannah Osterhout. On Frank's death certificate, his father was mistakenly stated to be Jobe Sackett. This would have been Charles's father, Nehemiah Jobe Sackett. The error may suggest a hazy recollection on the part of the informant that Jobe had had a part in Frank's upbringing.
     In 1900 Frank was living at Great Bend Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, and was recorded in the census as Frank Sackett, teamster, head of household, aged 33 and born in Pennsylvania. His house was rented. Living with him were his wife Rose, 30, and their children, Bertie, 9, Leon, 5, and Ethel, aged one. Also in the household was a male boarder.⁸
     In 1905 Frank was living in Binghamton, Broome County, New York State^G, and was recorded in the census as Frank D Sackett, a self-employed cartman, head of household, aged 37. Living with him were his wife Rose, 32, and their children, Bert, 13, and Ethel, aged six.⁹
     In 1910 he was living in Hallstead Borough, Susquehanna County^G, and was recorded as Frank Sackett, a laborer on the railroad, head of household, aged 43 and born in Pennsylvania. His house was rented. Living with him were his wife Rose, 41, their children, Ethel, 10, and Bert, 19, Bert's wife May, and Bert and May's four-month-old daughter Lillian.¹⁰
     In 1920 he was living in Binghamton, New York State^G, and was recorded as Frank Sackett, a carpenter on the Erie Railroad, head of household, married, aged 50 and born in Pennsylvania. His home was rented. Living with him were his wife Rose, 40, daughter Ethel, 21, and Ethel's husband Carl Van Dusen, 24, also a railroad carpenter. Boarding in the household was a nine-year-old Charles Van Dusen.¹¹
     In 1930 he was living in Binghamton^G in the household of his daughter Ethel and son-in-law Carl Van Dusen, and was recorded as Frank Sackett, a carpenter, aged 60 and born in Pennsylvania. Living with him was his wife Rose.¹²
     Frank was listed in the Binghamton City Directory from 1905. He was recorded in the 1906 edition as having removed to Great Bend. He returned to Binghamton by 1912 and was listed there again in 1916 through to at least 1944.¹³

Timothy Floyd Sackett, son of Floyd Lewis Sackett and Ruth Joy, was born in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 8 March 1950.^1,2 He died aged 42 in Binghamton, Broome County, New York State^G, on 17 February 1993^1,2 and was buried at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, Broome County^G.³
     In 1950 he was living at 515 West Main Street, Susquehanna Depot, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of his parents Floyd and Ruth, and was recorded as Timothy F Sackett, born in Pennsylvania in March 1950.⁴
     Timothy served in the US Army from 15 April 1969 to 28 December 1972, including service in the Vietnam War.⁵
