Joatham Almeron "Joker" Sackett, son of Daniel Webster Sackett and Lua Louisa Burdick, was born in Hadley, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 11 July 1879.¹ He died aged 71 in Pike County^G on 31 May 1951 and was buried at the Johnson New Philadelphia Cemetery, Pike County^G.²

Charles Emery Sackett, son of Charles Wesley Sackett and Ellen V Emery, was born on 27 January 1886.¹

Daniel Webster Sackett, farmer, son of Asa White Sackett and Iva Cole, was born in Hadley, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 21 March 1853.² He died in New Salem, Pike County^G, on 21 November 1935.³ He married in Hadley^G on 20 March 1878, Lua Louisa Burdick, daughter of Abel R Burdick and Marion B Horton.^4,2 Lua was born in Illinois^G about 1856.⁵ She died before 1920.⁶

Living with him were his wife Lua aged 23 and born in Illinois, and their sons Mirt aged two and Almeron aged one.⁵
     In 1900 he was living in Hadley, Pike County, Illinois^G, and was recorded as Daniel Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 48. Living with him were hs wife Lua, 43, and their children, Mert, 22, Joatham, 20, Wallace, 16, James, 15, Jonathan, 4, and Dewey, aged two.⁷
     In 1910 he was living in Hadley^G and was recorded as Daniel Sackett, self-employed farmer, head of household, aged 57. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Lua, 53, and their sons, Mert, 31, Joatham, 30, Jonathan, 15, and Dewey, aged twelve.⁸

James Alfred Sackett, son of Daniel Webster Sackett and Lua Louisa Burdick, was born in Hadley, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 6 April 1885.¹

Jonathan Henry Sackett, son of Daniel Webster Sackett and Lua Louisa Burdick, was born in Pleasant Vale, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 2 June 1895.^1,2,3 He died aged 84 in Alton, Madison County, Illinois^G, on 20 July 1979^4,5 and was buried at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens, Bethalto, Madison County^G.⁷ He married in Jacksonville, Morgan County, Illinois^G, on 11 May 1921, Jane Bell Powers, daughter of William Powers and Mary Jane Martin.⁶ Jane was born in Bluffs, Scott County, Illinois^G, on 19 May 1896.⁶ She died aged 66 in Alton^G on 6 October 1962 and was buried at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens^G.⁷
     In 1900 Jonathan was living in Hadley, Pike County, Illinois^G, in the household of his parents Daniel and Lua, and was recorded in the census as Johnthan H Sackett, aged four and born in Illinois.⁸
     In 1910 he was living in Hadley^G in the household of his parents Daniel and Lua, and was recorded as John H Sackett, aged 15.⁹

Living with him were his wife Jane, 33, and their children, Daniel, 7, Josephine, 6, Byron, 4, and Glen, aged two.¹¹

Lucious Harrison Sackett, son of Asa White Sackett and Iva Cole, was born in Hadley Township, Illinois^G, on 26 June 1856. He died aged 69 in Pleasant Hill, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 2 May 1926. He married about 1888, Laura Alice Williams.¹
     In 1900 he was living at Pleasant Hill, Pike County, Illinois^G, and was recorded as L H Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 42. Living with him were his wife Alice, 30, and their children, Claude, 9, Elzie, 7, Jessie, 6, and Alma, aged one.²
     In 1910 he was living in Martinsburg, Pike County^G, and was recorded as Luscius Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 53. Living with him were his wife Alice, 40, and their children, Claude, 19, Elza, 17, Jessie, 16, Alma, 11, Opal, 7, Russell, 5, and Asa, aged ten months.³
     In 1930 Lucious's widow Laura was living at Pleasant Hill^G and was listed in the census as Laura Sackett, head of household, a widow aged 58. Her son Claude, 38, was living with her.⁴

Lulu Ursula Sackett, daughter of Charles Wesley Sackett and Ellen V Emery, was born in 1879² and died aged about 85 in 1964.² She married Herbert Harold Fox.
