Mert Sellwyn Sackett, son of Daniel Webster Sackett and Lua Louisa Burdick, was born in Illinois^G on 14 September 1877.^2,3 He died aged 76 on 10 June 1954 and was buried at Park Lawn Cemetery, Barry, Pike County, Illinois^G.³ He married in Pike County^G on 29 June 1922, Cora Lulu Franklin, daughter of Marshall Nathan Franklin and Hattie Rose Harlow, and former wife of Mert's cousin Claude Thomas Sackett.⁴ Cora was born in Nebo, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 27 April 1893.⁵ She died aged 91 in Pittsfield, Pike County^G, on 12 August 1984 and was buried at Park Lawn Cemetery, Barry, Pike County^G.³
     In 1880 Mert was living in Hadley, Pike County, Illinois^G, in the household of his parents Daniel and Lua, and was recorded in the census as Mirt Sackett, aged two and born in Illinois.⁶
     In 1900 he was living in Hadley, Pike County, Illinois^G, in the household of his parents Daniel and Lua, and was recorded as Myrt S Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 22, single.⁷
     In 1910 he was living in Hadley^G in the household of his parents Daniel and Lua, and was recorded as Mert S Sackett, a farmer on the home farm, aged 31, single.⁸
     Mert completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 40 and was a self-employed farmer living at Baylis, Pike County, Illinois^G.⁹
     In 1920 he was living in Hadley^G in the household of his widowed father Daniel, and was recorded as Mert S Sackett, a section hand on the railroad, aged 43, single.¹⁰
     In 1930 he was living in New Salem, Pike County, Illinois^G, and was recorded as Mert D Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 52. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Cora, 36, Cora's children, Russel, 18, Lacy, 15, and Annabell, aged 12, and his and Cora's children, Hattie, 7, twins Willis and Willard, 4, Mary, 2, and Lulu, aged two months.¹¹
     Mert completed a World War II draft registration card in 1942 (assumed date). He was stated to be 54 but would have been 64 and was a self-employed farmer. He was living in New Salem, Pike County^G, with his wife Cora.¹²

Fritz Arthur Sackett, son of Daniel Webster Sackett and Lua Louisa Burdick, was born in Hadley, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 25 March 1881.¹ He married in Salt Lake City, Utah^G, on 22 November 1909, Maude Estella Funk.²
     Fritz completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 37 and was a train baggageman at the Oregon Short Line. He was living at 317 East 5 South, Salt Lake City, Utah^G, with his wife Maud.³
     In 1920 Fritz was living at West First Street, Los Angeles, California^G, and was recorded in the census as Fritz Sackett, railroad baggage worker, head of household, aged 37 and born in Illinois. His home was rented. Living with him were his wife Maude, 32, and their daughter Kathryn, aged four.⁴

Wallace Eugene Sackett, son of Daniel Webster Sackett and Lua Louisa Burdick, was born in Hadley, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 9 July 1883.² He died on 24 January 1906.²

     Dewey completed a World War I draft registration card on 24 August 1918. He was then aged 21 and was living at Baylis, Pike County, Illinois^G. He was employed on the family farm.⁶

     Dewey served in the US Army during the Second World War, enlisting at Peoria, Illinois^G, on 5 November 1942.⁸

Parthena Fuller, daughter of Capt John Fuller and Mercy Lucinda Sackett, was born in Sharon, Litchfield County, Connecticut^G, in March 1790.¹ She died aged 76 in Cass County, Iowa^G, in January 1867 and was buried at Bowen Cemetery, Audubon, Iowa^G.¹ She married Horatio G Marsh.¹

Polly Fuller, daughter of Capt John Fuller and Mercy Lucinda Sackett, was born in Sharon, Litchfield County, Connecticut^G, on 18 October 1793.¹ She died aged 62 in Greene County, Ohio^G, on 4 August 1856 and was buried at Glen Forest Cemetery, Yellow Springs, Greene County^G.² She married before 1819, probably in Litchfield County, Connecticut^G, Col Nathaniel Benedict.¹ Nathaniel was born in Connecticut^G on 8 May 1795.³ He died aged 77 in Greene County^G on 22 April 1873 and was buried at Glen Forest Cemetery^G.²

Sally Fuller, daughter of Capt John Fuller and Mercy Lucinda Sackett, was born in Sharon, Litchfield County, Connecticut^G, on 26 November 1786.¹ She died in Owego, Tioga County, New York State^G, after 1839.¹ She married about 1810, John Noteware, son of George Noteware and Huldah Kline. John was born in Great Barrington, Berkshire County, Massachusetts^G, on 5 June 1787.¹ He died in Apalachin, Tioga County, New York State^G.¹
