Russell Edward Sackett Sr, son of Claude Thomas Sackett and Cora Lulu Franklin, was born in Pleasant Hill, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 8 November 1911.^1,2 He died aged 80 in Detroit, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 27 June 1992³ and was buried at Pittsfield West Cemetery, Pike County^G.² He married first in Illinois^G about 1933, Annabel Radefeld.⁴ He married second in Reno, Washoe County, Nevada^G, on 25 October 1942, Donna Alberta Galloway, daughter of Harrison David Galloway and Eathel May Scott.² Donna was born in Pike County, Illinois^G, on 3 November 1920.² She died aged 60 in Pittsfield, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 23 April 1981 and was buried at Pittsfield West Cemetery^G.²

     Russell served in the US Air Force during the Second World War, enlisting on 13 April 1942 and being released on 22 October 1945.⁷

Claude Thomas Sackett, son of Lucious Harrison Sackett and Laura Alice Williams, was born in Pleasant Hill, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 11 January 1891.¹ He died aged 58 in Pike County^G on 13 May 1949.¹ He married in Pike County^G on 17 September 1913, Cora Lulu Franklin, daughter of Marshall Nathan Franklin and Hattie Rose Harlow.² They divorced sometime before June 1922 when Cora married Claude's cousin Mert Sellwyn Sackett. Cora was born in Nebo, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 27 April 1893.¹ She died aged 91 in Pittsfield, Pike County^G, on 12 August 1984 and was buried at Park Lawn Cemetery, Barry, Pike County^G.³

     In 1910 he was living in Martinsburg, Pike County^G, in the household of his parents Lucious and Alice, and was recorded as Claude Sackett, aged 19.⁵ Claude was enumerated twice in the 1910 census. He was also listed as Claude Sacket, a farm laborer, aged 20, living in the household of a friend, Harvey Harlow, a farmer, at Pleasant Hill^G.⁶
     Claude completed a World War I draft registration card on 24 August 1918 at La Crosse City, Wisconsin. He was aged 27 and was an unemployed laborer. He was living at Pleasant Hill^G and had a dependent wife and child.⁷
     In 1920 he was living at Spring Valley, McCook County, South Dakota^G, and was recorded as Claud T Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 28 and single. He was living in the household of Charley J Mulloy, 28, a farmer, and working on Mulloy's farm.⁸
     In 1920 Cora, aged 25, was living at Rockport Road, Pleasant Hill^G, with her children, Russell, 8, Lacey, 5, and Anna Belle, aged one. Cora described herself as widowed.⁹
     In 1930 Claude was living at Pleasant Hill^G in the household of his widowed mother Laura, and was recorded in the census as Claude Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 38, divorced.¹⁰
     Claude completed a World War II draft registration card on 27 April 1942. He was aged 53 and was employed by Harry Scroggins at Alzada, Carter County, Montana^G. He was re-registered at Sundance, Crook County, Wyoming on 7 May 1942.¹¹

Lacy Ladell Sackett, son of Claude Thomas Sackett and Cora Lulu Franklin, was born in Pleasant Hill, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 16 November 1914.^1,2 He died aged 90 in Robertson County, Tennessee^G, on 21 February 2005^3,4 and was buried at White House Memorial Gardens, Robertson County^G.¹

Willis Webster Sackett, son of Mert Sellwyn Sackett and Cora Lulu Franklin, was born in Pleasant Hill, Pike County, Illinois^G, on 26 June 1925.^1,2 He died aged 85 in Hemet, Riverside County, California^G, on 14 May 2011³ and was buried at Riverside National Cemetery^G.^2,6 He married in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada^G, on 11 September 1971, Marion Jean Reid.⁴ They divorced in Los Angeles, California^G, in August 1974.⁷ He married in Los Angeles^G on 7 June 1975, Patricia J Millraney.⁵ Patricia was born about 1944.⁸

     Willis served as a sergeant in the US Army from 1950 to 1953, participating in the Korean War.¹⁰

     Willard served in the US Army. He was discharged in 1947 after a tour of duty at Honshu, Japan.³
