Roger Alexander Sackett, son of Richard Alexander Sackett and Elsie A Brown, was born in West Ham, London^G, in 1955.¹ He died aged 61 on 14 August 2016.²

Robert George Percy Sackett, son of Robert William Sackett and Emily Elaine Carey, was born in Canterbury, Kent^G, in 1938.¹ He died aged 61 in Canterbury^G in July 1999² and was buried at Canterbury City Cemetery^G.³

Henry Sackett Hogbin, son of Henry Sackett Hogbin and Emily Scott Rook, was baptized in Ramsgate, Kent^G, on 3 January 1836.¹ He married first in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1859, Susanna Elizabeth Head.² Susanna was born in Ramsgate^G about 1835.⁴ She died aged 32 in Thanet^G in 1867.⁵ He married second in Eastry, Kent^G, in 1871, Ann Frances R Pritchard.³ Ann was born in Deal, Kent^G, about 1836.⁴
     In 1841 Henry was living at King Street, Ramsgate^G, in the household of his parents Henry and Emily, and was recorded in the census as Henry Hogbin, aged five and born in Kent.⁶
     In 1851 he was living at 2 Wellington Cottages, Ramsgate^G, in the household of his parents Henry and Emily, and was recorded as Henry Hogbin, an apprentice tailor, aged 15 and born in Ramsgate.⁷
     In 1861 he was living at Wellington Cottage, Ramsgate^G, and was recorded as Henry Hogbin, a tailor, aged 25. Living with him were his wife Susanna, 24, and their son Henry, aged five months.⁸
     In 1871 he was living at 18 Strand, Walmer, Kent^G, in the household of his parents Henry and Emily, and was recorded as Henry S Hogbin, a journeyman tailor, a widower, aged 34. His children, Henry, 10, and Rosa, 7, were living with him.⁹
     In 1881 he was living at 6 John Street, Hackney, London^G, and was recorded as Henry S Hogbin, a tailor, aged 46. Living with him were his wife Ann, 45, his daughter Rosina, 17, by his first marriage, Ann's three children by her first marriage, and Henry and Ann's daughter Elizabeth, aged eight.¹⁰

     In 1861 she was living at 2 Strand, Walmer, Kent^G, in the household of her parents Henry and Emily, and was recorded as Emily Hogben, aged 26 and born in Ramsgate.⁵
     In 1871 she was living at 18 Strand, Walmer^G, in the household of her parents Henry and Emily, and was recorded as Emily Hogbin, aged 37.⁶
     In 1881 she was living at 2 York Terrace, Frimley Road, Frimley, Surrey^G, in the household of her sister Mary and brother-in-law William Neville, and was recorded as Emily Hogbin, aged 39 [actually 49].^7,8

Susanna Elizabeth Hogbin, daughter of Henry Sackett Hogbin and Emily Scott Rook, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, in 1834¹ and baptized at St George, Ramsgate^G, on 14 September 1834.² She died aged 38 in Eastry, Kent^G, in 1872.³

     In 1851 Susanna was living at West Street, Faversham, Kent^G, in the household of her mother's brother George Rook and his wife Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Susanna Hogben, a dressmaker, aged 16 and born in Ramsgate.⁵
     In 1861 she was living at Boughton under Blean, Kent^G, and was recorded as Susannah E Hogben, a dressmaker, aged 26. She was a visitor in the household of Thomas Bonny, shoemaker, baker, and grocer.⁶

Mary Sackett Hogbin, daughter of Henry Sackett Hogbin and Emily Scott Rook, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, in 1844.^1,2 She died aged 57 in Farnham, Surrey^G, in 1902.³ She married in Eastry, Kent^G, in 1870, William Hardy Neville.⁴ William was born in Colchester, Essex^G, about 1842.²
     In 1851 she was living at 2 Wellington Cottages, Ramsgate, Kent^G, in the household of her parents Henry and Emily, and was recorded as Mary Hogbin, aged six and born in Ramsgate.⁵
     In 1861 she was living at 2 Strand, Walmer, Kent^G, in the household of her parents Henry and Emily, and was recorded as Mary S Hogben, aged 16.⁶
     In 1881 she was living at 2 York Terrace, Frimley Road, Frimley, Surrey^G, in the household of her husband William Neville, 39, a staff sergeant in the Fusiliers, and was recorded as Mary S Neville, a school mistress at the Royal Military College, aged 30 [actually 36]. Also in the household were Mary's widowed mother Emily, 70, and Mary's unmarried sister Emily, 39.⁷
     In 1891 she was living at 2 Victoria Terrace, Frimley^G, in the household of her husband William, and was recorded as Mary S Neville, a schoolmistress, aged 40.⁸
     In 1901 she was living at 2 The Oaks, Frimley^G, in the household of her husband William, and was recorded as Mary S Nevill, aged 50.⁹
     Mary Sackett Hogbin would appear to have understated her age upon marriage, with subsequent census records and her death record understating her age by six years. Her marriage record in the name of Mary Sackett Hogbin and death record in the name of Mary Sackett Neville argue against a possible mistaken identity. Further, her household in Frimley, Surrey, in 1881 included her sister Emily and their widowed mother Emily. Mary's father Henry Sackett Hogbin had died in the Farnham registration district, which includes Frimley, earlier the same year. Mary's mother Emily died there in 1887. To add to the confusion, Mary's sister Emily also understated her age, in her case by ten years, in the 1881 census.

Henry Sackett Hogbin, son of Henry Sackett Hogbin and Susanna Elizabeth Head, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, in 1860.^1,2 He was baptized at St George, Deal, Kent^G, on 29 June 1873.³ He married in Greenwich, London^G, in 1890, Mary Elizabeth Rutt.⁴ Mary was born in Islington, London^G, about 1860.¹
     In 1861 Henry was living at Wellington Cottage, Ramsgate^G, in the household of his parents Henry and Susanna, and was recorded in the census as Henry Hogbin, aged five months and born in Ramsgate.⁵
     In 1871 he was living at 18 Strand, Walmer, Kent^G, in the household of his grandparents Henry and Emily, and was recorded as Henry Hogbin, aged ten. He was living with his widowed father Henry.⁶
     In 1891 Henry was living at 22 Sunninghill Road, Lewisham, London^G, and was recorded in the census as Henry S Hogbin, a tea merchant, aged 30. Living with him were his wife Mary, 30, and their daughter Florence, aged one.⁷

Rosina E Hogbin, daughter of Henry Sackett Hogbin and Susanna Elizabeth Head, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, about 1863.¹
     In 1871 Rosina was living at 18 Strand, Walmer, Kent^G, in the household of her grandparents Henry and Emily, and was recorded in the census as Rosa Hogbin, aged seven and born in Ramsgate. She was living with her widowed father Henry.²

Elizabeth S N Hogbin, daughter of Henry Sackett Hogbin and Ann Frances R Pritchard, was born in Deal, Kent^G, about 1872.¹

John Hogbin, son of John Hogbin and Mary Sackett, was baptized at St John in Thanet, Kent^G, on 30 June 1799.¹

Richard Hogbin, son of John Hogbin and Mary Sackett, was baptized at St John in Thanet, Kent^G, on 17 October 1802.¹ He died aged 78 in Thanet^G in 1881² and was buried at Ebenezer Chapel Cemetery, Ramsgate, Kent^G.⁴ He married in Margate, Kent^G, on 2 December 1824, Hannah Cayley.³ Hannah was born in Chatham, Kent^G, about 1799.^5,6 She died aged 55 on 1 August 1854 and was buried at Ebenezer Chapel Cemetery, Ramsgate^G.^7,8
     In 1841 Richard was living at Wellington Cottages, Ramsgate^G, and was recorded in the census as Richard Hogbin, a baker, aged 35+ and born in Kent. Living with him were his wife Hannah, 40+, and their children, Hannah, 15, Sarah, 14, Elizabeth, 13, Richard, 12, John, 10, Mary, 6, Helen 4, and Mercy, aged one.⁹
     In 1851 he was living at 1½ Wellington Cottages, Ramsgate^G, and was recorded as Richard Hogbin, a master baker employing one man, aged 48 and born in Margate. Living with him were his wife Hannah, 52, and their children, Elizabeth, 23, Richard, 21, John, 19, Mary, 16, Helen, 14, and Mercy, aged eleven.¹⁰
     In 1861 he was living at 1½ Wellington Cottages, Ramsgate^G, and was recorded as Richard Hogbin, a master baker employing two men, a widower, aged 58. Living with him were his daughters, Mary, 26, Helen, 24, and Mercy, 21.¹¹
     In 1871 he was living at 21 Alliance Square, Ramsgate^G, and was recorded as Richard Hogbin, baker and Wesleyan local preacher, a widower, aged 68. Living with him were his married daughter Helen Hudson, 34, and his unmarried daughter Mercy, 31.¹²

Florence A Hogbin, daughter of Henry Sackett Hogbin and Mary Elizabeth Rutt, was born in Brockley, Kent^G, about 1890.¹

Elizabeth Cayley Hogbin, daughter of Richard Hogbin and Hannah Cayley, was born in Ramsgate, Kent^G, about 1827¹ and baptized at St George, Ramsgate^G, on 13 January 1828.²
