Penny Diane Sackett, daughter of Arthur LaVerne Sackett and Neola Lucille Read, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska^G, on 28 February 1956.¹
     Professor Penny Sackett is an astronomer and astrophysicist. She was the Chief Scientist of Australia from November 2008 to March 2011.
     Penny has developed gravitational microlensing systems to search for extrasolar planets, as well as researching dark matter and galactic structure. She was a member of the team of astronomers who discovered the first known earth-sized planet orbiting a normal star other than the Sun in the inner Milky Way.¹

Benjamin Austin Sackett, a farmer, son of Ezekiel W Sacket and Ruth Hart, was born in Chili, Monroe County, New York State^G, on 26 August 1820.^1,2 He died aged 81 in White Cortland, Wilcox, Newaygo County, Michigan^G, on 17 March 1902 of injuries following an accident and was buried at White Cloud Cemetery, Newaygo County^G.^4,5 He married Mary Nolan.³ Mary was born in New York State^G in 1826.² She died aged 40 on 20 November 1866 and was buried at Taylor Cemetery, Bangor, Van Buren County, Michigan^G.⁵

Fleeta Marie Sackett, daughter of Robert Franklin "Frank" Sackett and Lillie May Meldrum, was born in Provo, Utah County, Utah^G, on 10 January 1905.^1,2 She died aged 71 on 13 December 1976^1,3 and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello, Bannock County, Idaho^G.⁸ She married first at American Falls, Power County, Idaho^G, on 20 April 1929, William Earnest Wells, son of Erastus Nelson Wells and Mary Etta Moon.^4,5 William was born in Woodruff, Oneida County, Idaho^G, on 24 April 1887.⁸ He died aged 50 at American Falls^G on 26 February 1938 and was buried at Springfield-Sterling Cemetery, Springfield, Bingham County, Idaho^G.⁸ She married second in Dillon, Beaverhead County, Montana^G, on 4 June 1947, Reginald Arthur Wamsley, son of Charles J Wamsley and Dora Bell Crouse.⁶ Reginald was born in Phillipsburg, Phillips County, Kansas^G, on 25 September 1902.⁷ He died aged 45 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona^G, on 1 September 1948⁷ and was buried at Springfield-Sterling Cemetery^G.^7,8 She married third in March 1965, Roy E Smith.⁷
