Obituary
Death of Mrs. Catharine Baley.
Mrs. Catharine L. Baley was born in Orange Co., N.J., and died in the town of Romulus, N.Y., at the home of her brother-in-law, Mr. G. W. Baley, on April 22, 1888, aged 71 years, 2 months and 14 days. Her parents were Rev. Nathaniel and Margaret Sacket, of the Methodist Episcopal church. When about 18 years of age she, with her parents, came into this part of the State of New York.
She was married to Mr. Daniel W. Baley Oct. 21, 1841, in Ovid, N.Y., where they resided for a number of years. They then moved to the State of Maryland, and some time after they returned to Geneva, N.Y., where her husband died. For awhile Mrs. Baley made her home with her son, in St. Paul, Minnesota, and subsequently with her daughter in Dakota. Her health gave way, and she returned to Central New York, where she died.
She was converted when about 18 years of age, and joined the Methodist Episcopal church. She lived a consistent christian life, and enjoyed the consolations of the christian religion in her last hours.
In her younger days she took great delight in singing; was then prominently connected with the choirs of the churches where she was a member; and it is said that she sang at the first funeral held in the Townsendville church, about 50 years ago.
Her children, two sons and one daughter, survive her, and were present at the funeral.
A long life, having its sunshine and in shadow, a life work well completed, and, withal, a peaceful closing.

Albert Chellborg Dead
The Proprietor of a Famous Bakery Passes Away
Albert Chellborg, the proprietor of the bakery at Twenty-third-street and Third-avenue, where the students at the very best of colleges in that vicinity have lunched from time immemorial, died very suddenly of apoplexy at his rooms over the bakery Thursday afternoon. He was seventy-eight years of age, and was making arrangements to retire from the business in favor of his eldest son on May 1. These arrangements included the erection of a handsome house at Sea Cliff, L.I., where he intended to make his residence, and he had been up there looking after the finishing work on the building during the afternoon. He came back to the city at 4:30 o'clock, jumping off the horse car as it passed his door as lightly as a schoolboy and feeling in perfect health. He complained of a pain in his chest after he went up stairs, however, and fell dead an hour later.
Mr. Chellborg was born near Stockholm, Sweden, and after graduating at the Upsala University and serving a year in the cavalry ranks of the Swedish Army, came to this country in 1835. He went down to Texas with several of his countrymen to settle and grow up with the Lone Star State. After twenty years down there, and having experiences that he loved to relate to his friends in after life, Mr. Chellborg returned to the North and settled at Geneva, in Ontario County, this State, where he managed a farm until 1866, when he came to New York and established the bakery that made his name one of the most familar in the city.
His widow and seven children, four sons and three daughters, survive him. The funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock to-morrow afternoon at St. Paul's Church, Twenty-second-street and Fourth Avenue.

Obituary.
The announcement of the death on the 9th inst., of Mr. Adam Tredwell Sackett, occasioned among all classes of our citizens the expression of the profoundest regret and sorrow.
Mr. Sackett was born in 1828, and was consequently in the 51st year of his age —the very prime of life—when he was stricken by the hand of the Destroyer.
Of an exceedingly serene and equable temperament, cultured taste, and refined manner, full of sympathy and interest in the welfare of his fellow-men; liberal, generous and open-handed; a friend and helper to the poor and needy; amiable in disposition and agreeable in conversation, Mr. Sackett endeared himself to all with whom he came into contact, and by his cheerful presence made the world's pathway pleasant for those whose good fortune it was to be associated with him or in any degree to enjoy his companionship.
A descendant of one of the families identified with the ancient regime of American Society, he inherited much of that old time courtesy of expression so attractive and so rarely met with in the present nervous generation. Ile was a quiet, yet withal, a genial man. He loved the country and the exercises and enjoyments of the open air—was often seen on horseback, and took great delight in aquatic pursuits, spending many of his leisure hours in sailing o'er the broad expanse of waters that laved the boundaries of his country-home. He was the impersonation of a christian gentleman, never obtruding his religious opinions upon the observation of the world, but at all times devout, sincere and reverent. His mind was well balanced and his faith deeply rooted and grounded, and to him death could be but the way by which a more enduring and satisfying life was sure to be attained.
In the contemplation of his life and character his afflicted family and relatives have much of consolation and sweet remembrance, and we who share their sorrow with them may find in his example an incentive to desire only those things which are pure, lovely and of good report, that the world may be better for our having lived in it, and that we may be prepared in some measure, for the enjoyment and felicity to which we hope to come in the better world beyond.

2001. Adam Treadwell Sackett, 1828–1878, of Rye, N. Y., and New York City, only child of (776) Hon. Clarence D. Sackett and Gertrude Onderdonk Treadwell, was married, May 18, 1854, to Sarah Elizabeth Ostrander. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in New York City, but early in life inherited an estate, the management of which occupied so much of his time and attention as to preclude his entering actively into the practice of his profession. He is reported to have been throughout his adult life a close student of public affairs, and to have taken an intelligent interest in philanthropic and educational matters, especially in the public schools of New York City. Mr. Sackett was a descendant of Pieter of Amsterdam (whom history mentions as connected with the army of the King of Holland) in following line:
