Harvey Chafy Sackett, carpenter, son of Joseph Sackett Jr and Phylinda Cleveland, was born in Naples, Ontario County, New York StateG, on 21 June 1821.1,2 He died in Appleton, Outagamie County, WisconsinG, on 19 May 1892.1 He married on 17 September 1843, probably at Independence, Allegany County, New York StateG, Sophia Irene Post.1 Sophia was born in New York StateG on 22 February 1825.3 She died in AppletonG on 7 April 1909.
     In 1870 Harvey was living in Appleton, Outagamie County, WisconsinG, and was recorded in the census as Harvey Sackett, a carpenter, aged 48. Living with him were his wife Sophia, 45, and their children, George, 22, Leslie, 19, Mary, 16, Frank, 13, Ida, 10, Clarence, 6, and Lulu, aged two.4
     In 1880 he was living in AppletonG and was recorded as Harvy C Sacket, head of household, a carpenter, married, aged 58 and born in New York State. Living with him were his wife Sophia, 55, also born in New York State, and children, Mary, 26, Frank, 23, Ida, 20, Clarence, 16, Lulu, 12, and Freddie, aged nine.5

     In 1870 Herman was living in Appleton, Outagamie County, WisconsinG, in the household of his parents Harvey and Sophia, and was recorded in the census as Leslie Sackett, a student, aged 19 and born in New York.1
     In 1900 he was living at Follet Street, Fond du LacG, in the household of his brother Clarence and sister-in-law Sarah, and was recorded as Less Sackett, a carpenter, a widower, aged 43 [actually 48].2

James Emory "Jim" Sackett, son of Lee Emory Sackett and Della Frances Roscorla, was born in Milaca, Mille Lacs County, MinnesotaG, on 23 September 1929.1,2 He died aged 91 in Fort Myers, Lee County, FloridaG, on 24 November 2020 and was buried at Summit Cemetery, Foxboro, Douglas County, WisconsinG.1 He married in Pine County, MinnesotaG, on 16 August 1955, Joann Grenier, daughter of Wallace Leonard Grenier and June Ellenore Samuelson.3 Joann was born in Douglas County, WisconsinG, on 24 April 1938.4,1 She died aged 52 in Douglas CountyG on 24 November 1990 and was buried at Summit Cemetery, FoxboroG.1

James "Jim" Emory Sackett, 91, of Foxboro and Danbury, WI, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born in Milaca, MN on September 23, 1929, the son of Lee and Della (Roscorla) Sackett.
     During the Korean War he served 21 months active duty with the United States Army, 809th Engineer Aviation Battalion. His military service also included eight additional years with the National Guard.
     Jim worked as a Special Deputy for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department starting in the early 1960s. He later worked as a welder/boilermaker for Fraser Shipyard from 1964 until his retirement in 1991. He was a proud member of the Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers & Helpers Union Local 117.
     Jim was a valued member of the Tri-State Racing Association in its earliest years. He was an incredibly talented artist and was especially proud of the murals he painted at St. William Catholic Church. In his retirement, Jim wintered in Florida and spent his summers at the lake in Danbury.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joann Grenier Sackett, and sisters Marginia Dodge, Eva Lee Ellison, and Rollie Strand.
     Jim is survived by his partner of 20 years, Beverly Richmond; daughters: Della Marie (Stephen) Mackiewicz, and Teresa Ann (Edward) Flood; son, James Emory (Lori) Sackett; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
     Burial will be in Summit Cemetery, Foxboro.
