Clark De Witt Sackett, son of Augustus Lysander Sackett and Miranda Carter, was born in OhioG on 18 October 1844.1 He died aged about 78 in 1923 and was buried at Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, OhioG.3 He married Matilda Bertha Clark.2
     In 1850 Clark was living in Montgomery, Ashland County, OhioG, in the household of his parents Augustus and Miranda, and was recorded in the census as Clark D Sackett, aged five and born in Ohio.4
     In 1860 he was living in MontgomeryG in the household of his mother Miranda, and was recorded as Clark Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 15.5
     In 1900 he was living at 55 Center Street, Montgomery, Ashland County, OhioG, and was recorded as Clark D Sackett, physician, head of household, aged 55 and born in Ohio.      In 1860 he was living in MontgomeryG in the household of his mother Miranda, and was recorded as Irvin Sackett, aged 13.3
     Irving served as a Union soldier in the American Civil War in the 23rd Regiment, Ohio Infantry.4

Charles C Sackett, son of Augustus Lysander Sackett and Miranda Carter, was born in Ashland, Ashland County, OhioG, on 25 August 1848.1,2 He died aged 54 in Willamette Valley, OregonG, on 22 February 1903.3 He married in Cuyahoga County, OhioG, on 31 May 1875, Elizabeth Ellen Tompkins, daughter of John Tompkins and Mary Ann Kingsley.4 Elizabeth was born in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OhioG, on 23 April 1857.5 She died aged 83 in Clatsop County, OregonG, on 11 March 1941.6 Charles and Elizabeth appear to have divorced sometime before 1890, Elizabeth's first child with second husband Chester Rich being born in January 1891.
     In 1850 Charles was living in Montgomery, Ashland County, OhioG, in the household of his parents Augustus and Miranda, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sackett, aged two and born in Ohio.7
     In 1860 he was living in MontgomeryG in the household of his mother Miranda, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, aged eleven.8
     In 1870 he was living in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OhioG, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, a railroad fireman, aged 22.9
     Charles and Elizabeth removed from Ohio to Oregon sometime between 1876 and 1879.10
     In 1880 he was living in Clatsop, Clatsop County, OregonG, and was recorded as Charles C Sackett, an engineer, head of household, aged 31. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, 23, and their children, Irving, 4, and Rollin, aged ten months.11
     In 1900 he was living in Astoria, Clatsop County, OregonG, and was recorded as Charles C Sackett, a marine engineer, head of household, aged 51, described as a widower but actually divorced.12 Elizabeth, aged 42, was living in AstoriaG in 1900 with her second husband Chester Warren Rich. Charles and Elizabeth's son Arthur, 19, now known as Arthur Rich, was living with them, together with four younger children of the Rich marriage.13

6651. Porter Dwight Ford, 1854–, of Richmond Hill, Queens County, N. Y., son of Simeon D. and (3812) Malinda Tanner Sackett Ford, was married, July 2, 1883, to Lois Carrie Ford. Porter D. Ford was graduated from Sheffield Scientific School of Yale College in 1876, and for three years following gave his attention to teaching and surveying. In 1879 he became assistant engineer and supervisor on New York Division of Pennsylvania Railroad, which position he filled until 1888, when he became a division engineer of Philadelphia and Reading Railroad. In 1889 he was tendered and accepted the position of General Roadmaster of Long Island Railroad, of which in the following year he became General Superintendent of Roadway, and in 1891 Chief Engineer.

     In 1870 he was living in Washington, ConnecticutG, in the household of his parents Simeon and Malinda, and was recorded as Lester S Ford, aged 12.4
     Lester is presumed to have attended a reunion of some thirty Sackett relations at his parents' home in Washington, ConnecticutG, on 13 August 1873.

6652. Lester Sackett Ford, 1858–1882, son of Simeon D. and (3812) Malinda T. Sackett Ford, graduated in 1879 as Bachelor of Agricultural Science, being the first graduate of the Bussey Institution of Harvard University. At the time of his death he had also completed his course for M. D. at Harvard Medical School, was Demonstrator in Zoology at the Bussey Institute and a House Officer at the Massachusetts General Hospital at Boston, and died there of typhoid fever. Referring to his death, the President of Harvard University, in his annual report for 1882–3, says: "He was a young man of great promise, who by remarkable mental powers and rare beauty and force of character had won his way through serious obstacles to the gateway of a profession which he would have adorned." He was buried at Washington, Conn.

Archer Clayton Ford, son of Simeon Dwight Ford and Malinda Tanner Sackett, was born in Washington, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 18 January 1860.1,2 He died aged 79 in Grants Pass, Josephine County, OregonG, on 10 October 1939.2 He married in Grants PassG on 2 February 1898, Nellie Ellen Hussey.2 Nellie was born in Eugene, Lane County, OregonG, on 25 September 18713 and died aged about 80 in Grants PassG in 1952.3
     In 1860 Archer was living in Washington, ConnecticutG, in the household of his parents Simeon and Malinda, and was recorded in the census as Arthur Ford, aged four months and born in Connecticut.4
     In 1870 he was living in Washington, ConnecticutG, in the household of his parents Simeon and Malinda, and was recorded as Archer C Ford, aged ten.5
     Archer is presumed to have attended a reunion of some thirty Sackett relations at his parents' home in Washington, ConnecticutG, on 13 August 1873.
     In 1880 he was living in Washington, ConnecticutG, in the household of his parents Simeon and Malinda, and was recorded as Archer Ford, aged 20.6
[Archer Ford] graduated in 1885 at Stoors Agricultural School, at Mansfield, Conn. After completing his course he decided to settle in the far west. He stopped for a time near Pine River, Colorado. From there he went to Eagle Pass, Idaho. After a short sojourn at latter place he went to Grants Pass, Oregon, and there engaged in farming and fruit growing.

Murray Clark Ford, son of Simeon Dwight Ford and Malinda Tanner Sackett, was born on 26 December 1866.1 He died aged about 78 in 1945 and was buried at Washington Cemetery on the Green, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG.2 He married Ivah Louise Kelly.1 Ivah was born in New Haven County, ConnecticutG, in May 1869.2 She died aged 85 in Waterbury, New Haven CountyG, on 23 December 1954 and was buried at Washington Cemetery on the GreenG.2
     In 1870 Murray was living in Washington, ConnecticutG, in the household of his parents Simeon and Malinda, and was recorded in the census as William H Ford, aged three and born in Connecticut.3

Flora Rebecca Sackett, daughter of Henry Eldred Sackett and Rebecca Marilla Hine, was born in Washington, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 29 June 1863.1,2 She died aged 69 in Woodbury, ConnecticutG, on 26 January 19332 and was buried at the New Washington Cemetery, Litchfield CountyG.3,4 She married in WashingtonG on 31 December 1890, Edward Leslie Randall, son of Edward Vincent Randall and Eda Eliza Bishop.1,2 Edward Leslie was born in WashingtonG on 22 December 1865.2 He died there aged 44 on 20 April 19102 and was buried at the New Washington CemeteryG.4
     In 1870 Flora was living in Washington, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of her widowed mother Marilla, and was recorded in the census as Flora R Sackett, aged seven and born in Connecticut.5
     Flora attended a reunion of some thirty Sackett relations at the home in Washington, ConnecticutG, of Simeon and Malinda (Sackett) Ford on 13 August 1873.
     In 1880 she was living in WashingtonG in the household of her mother Marilla and stepfather Frederick Brinsmade, and was recorded as Flora Sackett, aged 16.6
     In 1900 she was living in WashingtonG in the household of her husband Leslie, 34, a farmer, and was recorded as Flora R Randall, aged 36. Living with them were their children, Clara, 7, Louis, 6, Henry, 5, and E Vincent, aged two. There was also a female servant (a nurse) in the household.7
     In 1910 she was living in WashingtonG in the household of her husband Edward, 44, a farmer, and was recorded as Flora R Randall, aged 45. Living with them were their children, Clara, 17, Louis, 15, Henry, 14, Edward, 12, and Marilla, aged three.8
     Flora's husband Edward died in 1910. He had made his will in Washington, Litchfield CountyG, on 2 April 1896. His making a will at the young age of 30 suggests that he was already in poor health. He left his entire estate, real and personal, to his wife Flora "notwithstanding a child or children may be born to us after the date of this instrument". Witnesses to the signing of the will were sworn before a Justice of the Peace on the day the will was made. The will was admitted to probate on 30 April 1910.9
     In 1920 Flora was living in Woodbury, Litchfield CountyG, and was recorded in the census as Flora R Randall, a widow, head of household, aged 56. Living with her were her children, Henry, 23, Vincent, 21, and Marilla, aged twelve. There was also a female boarder in the household.10
     Flora was listed in the Woodbury City Directory in 1927. She and her son Henry were living at Pleasant Street, WoodburyG.11
     In 1930 she was living at Pleasant Street, WoodburyG, and was recorded as Flora S Randall, a widow, head of household, aged 67. She owned her home. Her son Henry, 35, was living with her. There was also a female lodger in the household.12

Mary Marilla Hine "Minnie" Sackett, daughter of Henry Eldred Sackett and Rebecca Marilla Hine, was born in ConnecticutG on 19 September 1868.1,2 She married at Washington, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 1 June 1887, Elliot Weeks Langley.1,3
     In 1870 Mary was living in Washington, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, in the household of her widowed mother Marilla, and was recorded in the census as Mary M Sackett, aged three and born in Connecticut.4
     Mary attended a reunion of some thirty Sackett relations at the home in Washington, ConnecticutG, of Simeon and Malinda (Sackett) Ford on 13 August 1873.
     In 1880 she was living in WashingtonG in the household of her mother Marilla and stepfather Frederick Brinsmade, and was recorded as Minnie Sackett, aged 13.5
