Frances Sockett, daughter of Joseph Swockitt/Sockett and Elizabeth Kaminsky, was born in Donora, Washington County, Pennsylvania^G, on 15 March 1903.¹ She married about 1924, John Capenkas. John was born in Greece^G about 1895.²
     In 1920 Frances was living at 5601 Wickliff Street, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of her parents Joseph and Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as Frances Sockett, a factory hand in a wool mill, aged 15.³
     In 1930 she was living at 514 McCandless Street, Pittsburgh^G, and was recorded as Frances Capenkas, aged 25. She was living with her husband John, 35, a restaurant proprietor.⁴
     In 1940 she was living at Evergreen Avenue, Shaler, Allegheny County^G, in the household of her husband John, 45, part owner of a restaurant, and was recorded as Frances E Capinkes, aged 35. Living with them were Frances's widowed mother Elizabeth Sockett, 65, and unmarried sister, Anna Sockett, 27.⁵

     In 1860 she was living in Marengo, Calhoun County, Michigan^G, in the household of her parents Morrison and Mary, and was recorded as Frances Sackett, aged 15.⁵
     In 1870 she was living in Marengo^G in the household of her parents Morrison and Mary, and was recorded as Frances Sackett, a schoolteacher, aged 24.⁶

Elizabeth E Sackett, daughter of Samuel Bancroft Sackett and Philena Electa Merryfield, was born in Edinburg, Portage County, Ohio^G, on 28 March 1819.¹ She died aged 84 in Crawford County, Pennsylvania^G, on 23 May 1903.¹ She married in 1840, Major Clark Dorchester.¹ Major Clark was born in Parish, Oswego County, New York State^G, on 27 June 1810.¹ He died aged 75 in Crawford County^G on 16 March 1886.¹

Dency Sackett, daughter of Samuel Bancroft Sackett and Vesta ___, was born in Massachusetts^G on 11 April 1826.^1,2 She married Marcus R Gates. Marcus was born in Ohio^G about 1835.¹ She died aged 60 in Fowler, Trumbull County, Ohio^G, on 7 April 1886.³
     In 1850 Dency was living in Fowler^G in the household of Alanson Smith, a farmer, and family, and was recorded in the census as Densey Sackett, aged 23 and born in Massachusetts.⁴
     In 1860 she was living in Fowler^G in the household of her husband Marcus, 25, a farmer, and was recorded as Dency Gates, aged 32. Living with them were their children, Florence, 5, and Arthur, aged four.⁵
     In 1880 she was living in Fowler^G and was recorded as Dency Gates, a widow, aged 53. Living with her were her children, Mary, 16, and John, aged nine.⁶
