Mildred Cary Sackett, daughter of Elmer S Sackett and Sylvia Anna Rathburn, was born in OhioG on 25 February 1885.1,2,3 She died at home aged 76 in New London, Huron County, OhioG, on 11 November 19614,5,6 and was buried at Fitchville Cemetery, Huron CountyG.7 She married about 1909, Albert Charles Crabbs.2 Albert was born in North Fairfield, Huron County, OhioG, on 7 June 1885.7 He died aged 55 in New LondonG on 15 September 1940 and was buried at Fitchville CemeteryG.7
     In 1900 Mildred was living in Fitchville, Huron County, OhioG, in the household of her parents Elmer and Sylvia, and was recorded in the census as Mildred C Sackett, at school, aged 15 and born in Ohio.8
     In 1910 she was living in Culver, Marshall County, IndianaG, in the household of her husband Albert Crabbs, 24, a laborer/clerk, and was recorded as Mildred C Crabbs, aged 25.9
     In 1920 she was living in Fitchville, Huron County, OhioG, in the household of her husband Albert, 34, a farmer, and was recorded as Mildred C Crabbs, aged 34. Living with them were their children, Elmer, 8, Charles, 7, and Katheryn, aged three.10
     In 1930 she was living in New London, Huron County, OhioG, in the household of her husband Albert, 44, a farmer, and was recorded as Mildred C Crabbs, aged 45. Living with them were their children, Elmer, 19, Charles, 17, Kathryn, 13, and Frances, aged nine.11

     In 1930 he was living at the Belland Apartment Hotel, Cleveland Avenue, Chicago, IllinoisG, and was recorded as Walter L Sackett, a stenographer, head of household, aged 28. Living with him were his wife Marguerite, 27, and their son, Walter L Jr, aged one year eleven months.7
     Walter enlisted in the US Army in Chicago, IllinoisG, on 29 September 1942 and served in the 28th Infantry Division in the Second World War. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.8
