Ruth Elliot Langley, daughter of Elliot Weeks Langley and Mary Marilla Hine "Minnie" Sackett, was born in York County, Ontario, Canada^G, on 16 June 1903.^1,2 She died in infancy on 13 March 1904.¹

Washington Elliot Langley, son of Elliot Weeks Langley and Mary Marilla Hine "Minnie" Sackett, was born in York County, Ontario, Canada^G, on 19 July 1905.^1,2 He died in infancy on 15 January 1906.¹

     In 1910 Walter was living at Wheatland Center Road, Wheatland, Monroe County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Lizzie, and was recorded in the census as Walter B? Sackett, aged nine and born in New Jersey.⁵
     In 1920 he was living at State Street, Caledonia, Livingston County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Lizzie, and was recorded as Walter L Sackett, aged 19 and born in New Jersey.⁶
     In 1930 he was living at the Belland Apartment Hotel, Cleveland Avenue, Chicago, Illinois^G, and was recorded as Walter L Sackett, a stenographer, head of household, aged 28. Living with him were his wife Marguerite, 27, and their son, Walter L Jr, aged one year eleven months.⁷
     Walter enlisted in the US Army in Chicago, Illinois^G, on 29 September 1942 and served in the 28th Infantry Division in the Second World War. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.⁸
