Mandy Margaret Sackett, daughter of William M Sackett and Polly A Braden, was born in Perkinstown, Taylor County, Wisconsin^G, on 15 January 1892.¹ She died aged 45 in Virginia, Pemiscot County, Missouri^G, on 22 March 1937¹ and was buried at Coleman Cemetery, Pemiscot County^G.^3,4 She married in New Madrid, Missouri^G, on 9 July 1913, Samuel Roy Johnson.² Samuel was born in Illinois^G about 1882.⁵
     In 1900 Mandy was living in New Madrid, Missouri^G, in the household of her parents William and Polly, and was recorded in the census as Mandy Sackett, aged eight and born in Wisconsin.⁶
     In 1910 she was living in New Madrid, Missouri^G, in the household of her widowed father William, and was recorded as Amanda Sackett, aged 14.⁷
     In 1930 she was living in Virginia, Pemiscot County, Missouri^G, in the household of her husband Samuel, 47, a farmer, and was recorded as Mandy M Johnson, aged 35. Living with them were their children, Leroy, 16, Frank, 13, Rufus, 10, Wesley, 7, Margrette, 4, and Dallas, aged one.⁸

William M Sackett was born in Pennsylvania^G in January 1854.¹ His parents have not been identified. He married about 1882, Polly A Braden.¹
     In 1870 William was living at Coolspring, Mercer County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of Joseph Guilinger, 53, a farmer, and was recorded in the census as William Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 16 and born in Pennsylvania.²
     In 1880 he was living at Big Prairie, New Madrid County, Missouri^G, in the household of Hannah Todd and family, and was recorded as William Sackett, aged 26 and born in Pennsylvania.³
     In 1900 he was living in New Madrid, Missouri^G, and was recorded as William Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 46 and born in Pennsylvania. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Polly, 38, and their children, Eliza, 15, Kizzy, 13, Charley, 10, and Mandy, aged eight.⁴
     In 1910 he was living in New Madrid, Missouri^G, and was recorded as William M Sackett, a night watchman in a sawmill, head of household, a widower aged 55. Living with him were his children, Charley, 21, Amanda, 14, Oliver, 11, and Amy, aged six.⁵
     The earliest record found for William Sackett is in the 1870 census when he was a 16-year-old farm laborer living at Coolspring, Pennsylvania, in the household of an apparently unrelated family. His birthplace, stated as Pennsylvania, may be in doubt. He also gave Pennsylvania in 1880 and 1900 but, in 1910, was less specific, stating only United States. He was hazy, too, about the birthplaces of his parents.

Eliza Sophia Sackett, daughter of William M Sackett and Polly A Braden, was born in Bedford, Taylor County, Wisconsin^G, on 9 August 1884.^1,2 She married ___ Wheat.
     In 1900 Eliza was living in New Madrid, Missouri^G, in the household of her parents William and Polly, and was recorded in the census as Eliza Sackett, aged 15 and born in Wisconsin.³

Kizzy Sackett, daughter of William M Sackett and Polly A Braden, was born in Wisconsin^G in May 1887.¹

Amy Evelyn Sackett, daughter of William M Sackett and Polly A Braden, was born in Missouri^G on 24 March 1904.^1,2,3 She died aged 82 in January 1987 and was buried at Center Point Cemetery, Hazen, Prairie County, Arkansas^G.^5,6,7 She married in Steele, Pemiscot County, Missouri^G, on 2 June 1934, Charlie Edward Cunningham, son of William Aron Cunningham and Alice Minnie Russom.⁴ Charlie was born in Roe, Monroe County, Arkansas^G, on 15 February 1907.^2,5 He died aged 71 on 2 October 1978 and was buried at Center Point Cemetery, Hazen^G.⁵

Leroy Johnson, son of Samuel Roy Johnson and Mandy Margaret Sackett, was born in Missouri^G about 1914.¹

Anna Alice Sackett, daughter of Benjamin Joseph Sackett and Ruth Millie Spencer, was born in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York State^G, on 26 December 1935.^1,2 She died aged 31 in Highland Hospital, Beacon, Dutchess County, New York State^G, on 27 August 1967¹ and was buried at St Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, New York State^G.⁴ She married in Pleasant Valley, Dutchess County, New York State^G, on 17 December 1955, Frank Lloyd Elliott, son of Lloyd Elliott and Marian Beasmer.^1,3 Frank was born in Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont^G, on 10 August 1932³ and died aged 84 in Texas^G on 22 October 2016.⁵
     In 1940 Anna was living in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York State^G, in the household of her mother Ruth, and was recorded in the census as Anna Sackett, aged five and born in New York State.⁶

James Edward Sackett, son of Benjamin Joseph Sackett and Ruth Millie Spencer, was born in New York State^G on 18 January 1938^1,2 and died aged 62 in Dallas, Texas^G, on 11 July 2000.³

Gladys L Sackett, daughter of Filertus F "Lete" Sackett and Belle Ross, was born in Missouri^G on 28 September 1894.^1,2,3 She died aged 92 in Malheur County, Oregon^G, on 2 September 1987^4,5 and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Ontario, Malheur County^G.² She married in Jackson County, Missouri^G, on 29 January 1921, Loraine J Kinney.⁶ Loraine was born in Missouri^G in 1894^7,1 and died aged about 84 in 1978.⁷
     In 1900 Gladys was living at Mechanic Street, Butler, Bates County, Missouri^G, in the household of her parents Philetus and Belle, and was recorded in the census as Gladys Sackett, aged five and born in Missouri.⁸
     In 1910 she was living at Mechanic Street^G in the household of her parents Filertus and Belle, and was recorded as Gladus L Sackett, aged 15.⁹
     Gladys was listed from 1913 to 1919 in the Kansas City Directory, living in the family home at 3511 Genesee Street, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri^G. She worked for the O H Gerry Optical Company from 1913 to 1915 and from 1918 to 1919.¹⁰

     In 1930 she was living at Richardson Street, Ontario, Malheur County, Oregon^G, in the household of her husband Loraine, 35, a hardware merchant, and was recorded as Gladys Kinney, aged 35. They owned their home. Their son Ross, aged two, was living with them.¹²
     In 1940 she was living at 1st Street, Ontario^G, in the household of her husband Loraine J Kinney, 45, a hardware store owner, and was recorded as Gladys S Kinney, aged 45. Living with them were their children, Ross, 12, and Sarah, 9, and Gladys's widowed father Filertus, 73.¹³
     In 1950 she was living at 469 SW 1st Street, Ontario^G, in the household of her husband Loraine, 55, a hardware merchant, and was recorded as Gladys S Kinney, aged 55. Living with them were their son Ross, 22, and Gladys's father Filertus Sackett, 83.¹⁴

Marion J Sackett, daughter of Filertus F "Lete" Sackett and Belle Ross, was born in Missouri^G about 1900.¹ She married about 1924, Harry F Hill.¹ Harry was born in Oklahoma^G about 1899.¹

     In 1930 she was living in Chickasha, Grady County, Oklahoma^G, in the household of her husband Harry F Hill, 31, a farmer, and was recorded as Marion J Hill, aged 30. Living with them were their daughter Harriet, aged four, and Marion's widowed father Filertus, 63.⁴
