Lucretia Sackett, daughter of Solomon Sackett and Miriam Davis, was born in Sandisfield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 11 November 1802.1,2 She died aged about 77 in Harmony, Chautauqua County, New York StateG, in 1880 and was buried at Wild Rose Cemetery, North HarmonyG.5 She married in Norfolk, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 1 May 1828, Edwin Gleason, son of Rufus Gleason and Mirriam Granger.3,4 Edwin was born in Litchfield, Litchfield CountyG, on 31 August 1803.4 He died aged 60 on 21 July 18644 and was buried at Wild Rose Cemetery, North HarmonyG.
Edwin and Lucretia removed to Harmony, New York StateG, shortly after their marriage in 1828.

In 1851 Sackett was living at 17 Great Cumberland Street, Marylebone, LondonG, and was recorded in the census as Sackett Tomlin, a spice merchant, head of household, married, aged 38 and born in Kent. Living with him were his wife Mary, 39, and son Sackett Arthur, aged three. Also in the household were one male and three female servants.3
