     In 1860 he was living in Harmony^G in the household of his parents Edwin and Lucretia, and was recorded as Mark N Gleason, a wheelwright, aged 31. His wife Isme, 32, was living with him.⁴
     In 1865 he was living in Harmony^G and was recorded as Mark Gleason, a farmer, aged 37 and born in Chautauqua County. Living with him were his wife Isme, 37, his mother Lucretia, 62, his brother Edwin, 23, and the children, Mary, 7, and Edward, 5, of his late brother Henry. His unmarried uncle Enos Sackett, 65, was also in the household.⁵
     In 1870 he was living in Harmony^G and was recorded as Mark Gleason, a farmer, aged 41. Living with him were his wife Isme, 42, his mother Lucretia, 67, his brother Edwin, 29, and his late brother Henry's children, Mary, 12, and Edward, aged ten.⁶
