Gordon Russell Sackett, son of William George Sackett and Mary Jane Eliza McLean, was born in Swinton Park, Grey County, Ontario, CanadaG, on 6 October 1895.2,3,4 He died aged 94 in Midland, OntarioG, on 14 March 1990.5 He married in Toronto, York County, OntarioG, on 16 December 1916, Elsie Ellen Pocock, daughter of George Pocock.6 Gordon and Elsie were married for 73 years 2 months 26 days. Elsie was born in Havant, Hampshire, EnglandG, on 14 November 1899.7,8 She died aged 100 years 3 months 14 days in Midland, Ontario, CanadaG, on 28 February 2000.9

She died aged 95 in Bolton, Peel Regional Municipality, OntarioG, on 22 June 1985.3 She is named on her husband's gravestone at St John's Cemetery, Mono, Dufferin County, OntarioG.3 She married in Toronto, York County, Ontario, CanadaG, on 9 September 1908, James Edward Howatt, a carpenter, son of Richard Howatt and Eliza Lee.4 James was born in OntarioG on 14 November 1881.5 He died aged 75 in Orangeville, Dufferin County, OntarioG, on 7 April 1957 and was buried at St John's Cemetery, MonoG.3

Peacefully at King Nursing Home, Bolton on Saturday, June 22, 1985, Sylvia Martha Sackett, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late James Edward Howatt and dear mother of Eileen (Mrs. Palmer Barton), Milton; Newton, Weston; Roy, Georgetown; Bruce, Stroud and predeceased by Ivan. Fondly remembered by 6 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Gordon, Sunderland; Lawrence, Hazel (Mrs. Lawrence Barton) and Etta Littler all of Toronto.
Funeral service was held at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S., Bolton on Monday, June 24 at 2:00 o’clock followed by cremation.
