Eliza Ann Pardee, daughter of Ebenezer Pardee and Thankful Johnson, was born in Cats, Cortland County, New York State^G, on 7 June 1814.¹ She married say 1835, Jason Schuyler Beach.¹

Emma Beach, daughter of Jason Schuyler Beach and Eliza Ann Pardee, was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin^G, on 21 August 1852.¹ She married in Whitewater^G in 1871, Halsey Roe.¹

Ogden Roe, son of Halsey Roe and Emma Beach, was born say 1880. He married in 1905, Hester Godfrey.¹

Wilfred O Roe Sr, son of Ogden Roe and Hester Godfrey, was born say 1908. He died in 1997.¹ He married in 1931, Virginia Howard.²

Charles E Sackett, son of Nehemiah Jobe D Sackett and Emeline Wood, was born in Delaware County, New York State^G, in 1842.^1,2 He married about 1861, Augusta McDonald, daughter of Simeon McDonald and Mary Ann Davis.³ Charles and Augusta are believed to have divorced in about 1870. Augusta was born in Pennsylvania^G on 13 August 1842.^4,5 She died aged 75 in Hallstead, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 18 December 1917 and was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hallstead^G, on 21 December 1917.⁶
     This Charles Sackett was very likely the co-parent with Hannah Osterhout of Frank Sackett and Carrie Sackett, as identified on Frank's marriage record and Carrie's death record. Hannah Catherine Osterhout, who was the daughter of Henry Osterhout and Margaret Emsley?, was born in Great Bend, Susquehanna County^G, on 27 September 1842^5,7 and baptized at the First Presbyterian Church, Hallstead^G, on 4 December 1842.⁸ She married in about 1874 Eli Mott.⁹ She died aged 68 in Liberty, Susquehanna County^G, on 28 January 1910 and was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hallstead^G, on 31 January 1910.^10,11
     In 1850 Charles was living in Union, Broome County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Nehemiah and Emeline, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sacket, aged eight and born in New York.¹²
     In 1860 he was living in Liberty, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of his parents Nehemiah and Emeline, and was recorded as Charles Sacket, aged 18.¹³
     Charles completed a Civil War draft registration card in June 1863. He was a farmer, aged 21, married, and was living in Liberty^G.¹⁴ He was probably the Charles Sackett who served as a private soldier in Company C, 104th Pennsylvania Infantry, enlisting at Scranton, Pennsylvania^G, on 21 October 1863 and being discharged on 18 April 1865.¹⁵
     No record of Charles Sackett has been found after the Civil War. Census records for him after 1860 have not been found, nor has a death record yet been found.
     Evidence of his marriage to Augusta McDonald is circumstantial, but the circumstances are consistent. They were co-parents of four children between 1861 and 1868. The family tradition has it that Augusta divorced Charles in 1871. The reason for the divorce may be deduced: that Charles had simultaneously maintained a relationship with Hannah Osterhout, evidenced by their having had children in 1865 and in about 1866. Indeed, it appears that both women had a child by Charles in the same month, in November 1865. Augusta and Charles appear to have separated by 1870 when she and their four children were living with Augusta's parents in Great Bend.
     Hannah Osterhout, the mother of Charles's other two children, Frank and Carrie, married Eli Mott in about 1874 and they had three children, the first born in about 1875. Eli and Hannah Mott are recorded in the 1880 census living in Great Bend with their three children and with Charles and Hannah's daughter Carrie, then aged 14. Their son Frank was not in this household at the census date and a record for him has not been found.
     Evidence that Frank was the son of Charles and Hannah is given on Frank's marriage certificate where he stated his parents to be Chas E Sackett and Hannah Osterhout.
     In 1870 Augusta was living at Great Bend, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of her parents Simeon and Mary Ann McDonald. She was recorded in the census as Augusta Sacket, aged 30. Living with her were her children, Grace, 8, Ruth, 4, William, 3, and Orin, aged one.¹⁶
     In 1880 Augusta was living at Great Bend^G in the household of Thomas Elmore, 22, a laborer. Her parents Simeon and Mary Ann McDonald were living next door. She was recorded in the census as Augusta Elmore, aged 38. Living with her were her children, Ruth, 14, and Harvey, aged twelve. Although she was recorded in the census as the wife of Thomas Elmore, it is unlikely that they were married. In later records she was named as Sackett or McDonald.¹⁷
     In 1900 Augusta was living at Chase Avenue, Great Bend^G, in the household of her son Harvey. She was recorded as Augusta Sackett, a widow, aged 57.¹⁸
     In 1910 Augusta was living in Hallstead^G in the household of her son Harvey. She was recorded as Agusta McDonald, a widow, aged 67.¹⁹

Helen Sackett, daughter of Nehemiah Jobe D Sackett and Emeline Wood, was born in New York State^G about 1852.² She died aged about eleven on 7 November 1864.¹
     In 1860 Helen was living in Liberty, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of her parents Nehemiah and Emeline, and was recorded in the census as Hellen Sacket, aged seven and born in New York.³

Harvey Sackett, son of Nehemiah Jobe D Sackett and Emeline Wood, was born in New York State^G about 1855.^1,2 He died in childhood on 25 November 1863.¹
     In 1860 Harvey was living in Liberty, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of his parents Nehemiah and Emeline, and was recorded in the census as Harvey Sacket, aged five and born in New York.³

Lorinda Sackett, daughter of Nehemiah Jobe D Sackett and Emeline Wood, was born in New York State^G about 1856.^1,2 She died in childhood on 12 December 1863.¹

Alice Sackett, daughter of Nehemiah Jobe D Sackett and Emeline Wood, was born in New York State^G about 1859.¹ She died in childhood on 2 December 1863.¹

     In 1870 Augusta was living in Liberty, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of her parents Nehemiah and Emeline, and was recorded in the census as Augusta Sackett, aged 12 and born in Pennsylvania.²
     In 1880 she was living in Liberty^G in the household of her parents Nehemiah and Emeline, and was recorded as Augusta Sackett, aged 19 and born in Pennsylvania.³

Herman Eugene Sackett, son of Samuel Edwin Sackett and Eliza Wiseman, was born in Pennsylvania^G on 19 June 1891.^1,2 He died on 14 December 1964.¹ He married on 18 December 1916, Celinda Esther Greene, daughter of Nelson D Greene and Bertia A Fish.¹ Celinda was born in Pennsylvania^G on 18 January 1896^1,2 and died aged 86 on 14 May 1982.^1,3
     In 1900 Herman was living in Liberty, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of his parents Samuel and Eliza, and was recorded in the census as Hermon Sackett, aged nine and born in Pennsylvania.⁴
     In 1910 he was living at Mountain Valley Road, Liberty, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of his father Samuel and stepmother Kathryn, and was recorded as Hermann E Sackett, aged 18.⁵
     Herman completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was married, aged 25, and was living at Hallstead, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G. He was a tender repairer at the Erie Railroad Company, and had previously served for two years as a private in the cavalry in Nebraska.⁶
     In 1920 he was living in Union Township, Broome County, Pennsylvania^G, and was recorded as Herman Sackett, a forger in a forging works, head of household, aged 28 and born in Pennsylvania. Living with him were his wife Celinda, 24, and their children, Clair, one year ten months, and Samuel, aged six months.⁷
     In 1930 he was living at Evergreen Street, Endicott Village, Broome County, New York State^G, and was recorded as Herman Sackett, a hammerman in a forging works, head of household, aged 38 and born in Pennsylvania. He rented his home for $25 per month. Living with him were his wife Celinda, 35, and their children, Clair, 12, Samuel, 10, Harold, 8, Carlton, 6, Edwin, 5, Lester, 3, and Lois, aged eleven months.⁸

Clair Eugene Sackett, son of Herman Eugene Sackett and Celinda Esther Greene, was born in Pennsylvania^G on 6 February 1918.^1,2 He died aged 75 on 22 February 1993³ and was buried at the Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia^G.^5,6 He married Edith Y ___.⁴ Edith was born on 8 March 1924.⁴ She died on 3 January 1973⁴ and was buried at the Arlington National Cemetery^G.^4,7
     In 1920 Clair was living at Union Township, Broome County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of his parents Herman and Celinda, and was recorded in the census as Clair Sackett, aged one year ten months and born in Pennsylvania.⁸
     In 1930 he was living at Evergreen Street, Endicott Village, Broome County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Herman and Celinda, and was recorded as Clair Sackett, aged 12 and born in Pennsylvania.⁹
     Clair served in the US Air Force during the Second World War and in the Korean War.^4,10,11

Samuel Nelson Sackett, son of Herman Eugene Sackett and Celinda Esther Greene, was born in New York State^G on 5 September 1919.^1,2 He died aged 83 on 20 January 2003.^1,3 He married Doris Jean Cranmer, daughter of Harold Cranmer and Meryl ___.¹ Doris was born on 27 September 1921.¹ She died aged 90 at home in Apalachin, Tioga County, New York State^G, on 22 July 2012.⁴
     In 1920 Samuel was living at Union Township, Broome County, Pennsylvania^G, in the household of his parents Herman and Celinda, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sackett, aged six months and born in Pennsylvania.⁵
     In 1930 he was living at Evergreen Street, Endicott Village, Broome County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Herman and Celinda, and was recorded as Samuel Sackett, aged ten and born in New York.⁶
     Samuel enlisted in the US Army, Philippine department, on 5 October 1939.⁷

Harold Ellis Sackett, son of Herman Eugene Sackett and Celinda Esther Greene, was born in New York State^G on 17 October 1921.^1,2 He died aged 92 on 28 December 2013^3,4 and was buried at Mountain Valley Cemetery, Hallstead, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G.³ He married about 1953, Betty ___.
     In 1930 Harold was living at Evergreen Street, Endicott Village, Broome County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents Herman and Celinda, and was recorded in the census as Harold Sackett, aged eight and born in New York.⁵
     Harold served in the US Army Air Corps during the Second World War.
