Samuel Edwin Sackett, railroad engineer, son of Edwin M Sackett and Lydia Jane Osterhout, was born in Liberty, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 24 May 1869.^1,2,3,4 He died aged 84 in Button Rest Home, Rural Springville Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 10 February 1954¹ and was buried at Mountain Valley Cemetery, Hallstead, Susquehanna County^G, on 13 February 1954.^7,8 He married first in 1890, Eliza Wiseman, daughter of Samuel Wiseman and Lucinda J ___.¹ Eliza was born in Fayetteville, Fayette County, West Virginia^G, in October 1871.^1,5 She died on 15 September 1902.¹ He married second about 1904, Kathryn (Hager) Flack, daughter of Amzi Hagar and Mary Margaret Ulery.^1,5 Kathryn was born in Farmington, Fayette County, Pennsylvania^G, on 3 April 1869.³ She died aged 65 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 28 October 1934¹ and was buried at Mountain Valley Cemetery, Hallstead^G, on 31 October 1934.^9,10 He married third in Hallstead^G on 20 December 1938, Elizabeth (Dawes) Tibbets, daughter of Isaac Dawes and Emily J Downing.^1,6 Elizabeth was born in Thornley, County Durham, England^G, on 7 January 1879.^1,11 She died aged 75 in Freeman Nursing Home, Great Bend, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 30 April 1954^1,12 and was buried at Squires Cemetery, Hop Bottom, Susquehanna County^G, on 3 May 1954.¹³

Rebecca Ann Sackett, daughter of Samuel B Sackett and Lucinda Preston, was born in Milford, Kosciusko County, Indiana^G, on 17 February 1842.² She married first on 3 July 1859, James Ellis.² She married second in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan^G, on 5 August 1885, George Washington Myers, a photographer.³ George was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania^G, about 1848.⁴

Joseph Washington Sackett, son of Samuel B Sackett and Lucinda Preston, was born in Lake Providence, East Carroll Parish, Louisiana^G, on 22 February 1837.^1,2 He died aged 88 on 30 July 1925 and was buried at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma, San Mateo County, California^G.^3,4 He married Sarah Ellen Kessler.¹ Sarah was born in Ohio^G on 25 November 1845.¹ She died aged 72 in San Francisco, California^G, on 4 June 1918 and was buried at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park^G.³

Samuel Jefferson Sackett, son of Samuel B Sackett and Lucinda Preston, was born in Sturgiss, Michigan^G, on 11 March 1849.^2,1 He died in Oklahoma^G on 28 August 1889¹ and was buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Parsons, Labette County, Kansas^G.³ He married in Quincy, Illinois^G, on 27 December 1876, Emma Melville.¹
