Orramel E Sackett, son of Isaac Anson Sackett and Eunice Davis, was born in New York StateG on 25 September 1812.1,2 He died aged 84 in Afton, Chenango County, New York StateG, on 1 May 18973 and was buried at Glenwood Cemetery, AftonG.4 He married Jane Augusta Fisher.2 Jane was born in Middletown, Middlesex County, ConnecticutG, on 5 November 1816.4 She died aged 75 in AftonG on 15 September 1892 and was buried at Glenwood Cemetery, AftonG.4

Hannah Sackett, daughter of Isaac Anson Sackett and Eunice Davis, was born in New York StateG on 3 June 1821.1 She may have been the Hannah Fuller, aged 29, recorded in the 1850 census in the household of Eunice Sackett. This would suggest a first marriage, a record for which has not been found.4 She married about 1853, presumably in Stamford, Delaware County, New York StateG, John H Grant.2,3 John was born in New York StateG about 1829.2
In 1855 Hannah was living in StamfordG and was recorded in the census as Hannah Grant, aged 30. She was living with her husband John, 26, and their daughter Marilla, aged one, in the household of her widowed mother Eunice Sackett.5

Socrates Sackett, son of Isaac Anson Sackett and Eunice Davis, was born in Delaware County, New York StateG, on 16 December 1827.1,2 He died aged 74 in Cochecton, Sullivan County, New York StateG, on 4 June 1902 and was buried at Laurel Cemetery, CochectonG.3 He married on 5 July 1849, Ruby Melina Davis, daughter of Lyman Davis and Eleanor Churchill.1 Ruby was born in New York StateG in November 1829.1,4 She died aged 87 in CochectonG on 16 May 1917.5

In 1850 Socrates was living in Callicoon, Sullivan County, New York StateG, and was recorded in the census as Solomon Sacket [sic], a laborer, aged 23 and born in New York. Living with him were his wife Melina, 21, and their son Calvin, aged four months. (This record clearly relates to Socrates. The name Solomon is unexplained.)6
In 1860 he was living in Stamford, Delaware County, New York StateG, and was recorded as Socrates Sackett, a farmer, aged 33. Living with him were his wife Melina, 31, and their children, Calvin, 10, Lewis, 8, Don, 4. and Ellen, aged two.7
In 1870 he was living in Cochecton, Sullivan County, New York StateG, and was recorded as Socrates Sackett, a farmer, aged 42. Living with him were his wife Ruby, 40, and their children, Calvin, 20, Lewis, 18, Don, 14, Ellen, 12, and Edwin, aged two.8

1846h. Socrates Sackett, 1827, of Cochecton Centre, Sullivan County, N. Y., son of (756) Isaac Anson and Eunice Davis Sackett, was married, July 5, 1849, to Ruby M. Davis, 1829, daughter of Lyman Davis, 1793–___, and his wife Eleanor Churchill, 1791–___, of Enfield Mass. Socrates Sackett settled with his family in town of Fremont, in Dec., 1849, but a month later his house and all it contained was burned. In 1852, he removed to Cochecton Centre, where he has since resided and reared his family. He was, early in life, a carpenter and builder, but for many years has been a farmer. He is greatly respected by his townsmen and for many years has been a Justice of the Peace and a Notary Public.
