     Harvey Sackett, Jr., 15 years old, died Thursday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sackett, Sr., New York avenue, Hallstead. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Donald and Floyd Sackett, both of Hallstead, and a sister, Mrs. Willard Edwards of Kirkwood.

Harvey Orin Sackett, son of Charles E Sackett and Augusta McDonald, was born in Franklin Hill, Susquehanna County, PennsylvaniaG, on 29 November 1868.1,2 He died aged 79 in Hallstead, Susquehanna CountyG, on 1 March 1948 and was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, HallsteadG.4,5 He married about 1893, Minnie Adelaide Rice, daughter of Frank DeForest Rice and Emma Thorington.1,3 Minnie was born in New York StateG in August 1877.3
     In 1870 Harvey was living at Great Bend, Susquehanna County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded in the census as Orin H Sacket, aged one and born in Pennsylvania. He was living with his mother Augusta in the household of Augusta's parents Simeon and Mary Ann McDonald.6
     In 1880 Harvey was living at Great BendG and was recorded in the census as H O Elmore, aged twelve. He was living with his mother Augusta in the household of Thomas Elmore. Although Augusta was identified as the wife of Elmore, it is unlikely that they were married. Augusta's children were named Elmore in this census record by default.7
     In 1900 he was living at Chase Avenue, Great BendG, and was recorded as Harvey Sackett, a railroad brakeman, head of household, aged 31. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Minnie (identified only as Mrs Harvey Sackett in the census), 22, their children, Floyd, 2, and Donald, 5 months, and Harvey's widowed mother Augusta, aged 57.8
     In 1910 he was living in HallsteadG and was recorded as Harvey Sackett, a laborer in a chair factory, head of household, aged 41. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Minnie, 31, their children, Floyd, 12, and Donald, 10, and Harvey's widowed mother Augusta, aged 67.9
     In 1920 he was living at Pine Street, Hallstead, Susquehanna County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded as Harvey Sackett, a boiler maker helper on the railroad, head of household, aged 51. He rented his home. Living with him were his wiife Minnie, 41, and their children, Donald, 20, and Rena, aged nine.10
     In 1930 he was living at New York Avenue, Hallstead, Susquehanna County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded as Harvey O Sackett, a carpenter on the steam railroad, head of household, aged 60. He owned his home. His wife Minnie, 52, was living with him.11

Harvey O. Sackett, 79, died of a heart attack at 2:45 p.m. Monday at his home, Main Street, Hallstead. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Sackett of Hallstead; a daughter, Mrs. Willard Edwards of Binghamton; two sons, Donald of Great Bend and Floyd of Hallstead; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the O. E. Tuttle Funeral Home in Hallstead, and was returned this afternoon to his home, where friends may call until Thursday morning, when it will be returned to the funeral home."
