William Francis Sackett, labourer, painter, and greengrocer of Broadstairs, Kent, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in St Lawrence in Thanet^G in 1831 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 4 December 1831.¹ He died in Thanet^G in 1898.² He married at St John in Thanet, Kent^G, on 9 November 1856, Elizabeth Ann Foord, daughter of William Foord.^3,4 Elizabeth was born in Eastry, Kent^G, about 1832.⁵ She died aged 76 in the Draper's Almshouses, Margate^G, in 1905^6,7 and was buried at St Peter in Thanet^G on 18 January 1905.⁷
     In 1841 William was living at Hereson Road, St Lawrence in Thanet^G, in the household of his parents Francis and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as William Sackett, aged nine and born in Kent.⁸
     In 1851 he was living at 2 Harbour Street, Broadstairs, Kent^G, and was recorded as William Sackett, a labourer, aged 19 and born in St Peter's, son of Francis Sackett.⁹
     In 1861 he was living at 4 Grays Cottages, Ramsgate, Kent^G, and was recorded as Wm F Sackett, a labourer, head of household, married, aged 29, and born in St Lawrence. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, aged 28, a bonnet maker, born in Eastry, and their children, Harriett (4), William (2), and Stephen (10 months). Living with him were his wife Elizabeth Ann, a dressmaker, aged 38, and born in Eastry, and their children, Harriet Ann (14), William G (11), Francis (7), Annie Charlotte (5), and Frederick C (10 months.)¹¹
     A record for William in the 1881 census has not been found.
     In 1891 he was living at Thanet Cottages, St Peter's, Kent^G, and was recorded as William F Sackett, a painter, head of household, married, aged 59 and born in St Lawrence. He was also recorded as being paralysed. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, aged 57, and born in Eastry, their children, Frederick, 21, Ernest, 19, and Gilbert, 16, and William's unmarried brother Thomas, aged 57.¹²
     In 1901 William's widow was living at 2 Farley Cottages, St Peter's, Broadstairs, Kent^G, in the household of her daughter Emma and son-in-law Frederick Woodward, and was recorded in the census as Elizth A Sackett, a widow, aged 69 and born in Eastry.¹³

Thomas Edward Sackett, agricultural labourer and gardener, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in Bromstone, St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1832^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 30 December 1832.¹ He died aged 63 in Bridge, Kent^G,³ and was buried at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 3 May 1896.⁴ He was unmarried.

     In 1851 he was living at Newlands, St Peter's, Kent^G, in the household of his uncle, Thomas Sackett, a farmer, and his wife Harriet, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, aged 18 and born in St Peter's.⁶

George Holt Sackett, butcher of Ramsgate, Kent, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1835¹ and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 28 June 1835.¹ He died aged 89 in Dover, Kent^G, in 1924.² He married in Thanet^G in 1893, Maude Elizabeth Kelk, daughter of Elizabeth Kelk.^3,4 Maude was born in Blean, Kent^G, in 1867⁵ and baptized at Canterbury, Kent^G, on 29 June 1869.⁶

     In 1921 he was living at 8 Balfour Road, Dover, Kent^G, and was recorded as George Sackett, a pensioner, head of household, aged 87. His wife Elizabeth [Maude], 37 [actually 54], was living with him.¹⁴

Francis "Frank" Sackett, plumber and painter, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in Bromston, St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1837¹ and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 29 January 1837.² He died aged 65 in Thanet^G in 1902.³ He married at St Lawrence in Thanet^G on 3 April 1859, Jane Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Thomas Miller.^4,5 Jane died aged 57 in Thanet^G in 1895.⁶

     In 1901 he was living at 153 Boundary Road, Ramsgate^G, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, painter and decorator, an employer, head of household, a widower aged 64 and born in Peter's.¹³
     Francis left a will which was proved on 7 April 1902 by his sons James and Alfred. His estate was valued at £289.

Stephen Sackett, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 11 July 1839^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 4 August 1839.² He died aged 31 in Broadstairs, Kent^G,³ and was buried at St Peter in Thanet^G on 28 January 1871.⁶ He married at St Peter in Thanet^G on 25 May 1867, Charlotte Grix, daughter of Benjamin Grix.^4,5 Charlotte was born about 1840.⁷ After Stephen's death, Charlotte married James Strong in Thanet^G in 1878.⁸
     In 1841 Stephen was living at Hereson Road, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of his parents Francis and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Stephen Sackett, aged two and born in Kent.⁹

Living with them were Charlotte's children by her first marriage, Charlotte Sackett, 13, and Walter Sackett, 11, and Charlotte and James's son James, aged one.¹³

Harriet Hannah Sackett, daughter of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in Broadstairs, Kent^G, in 1841.^1,2 She married in St Paul's Onslow Square, South Kensington, Middlesex^G, on 26 April 1886, Thomas Jennings, son of John Jennings.³
     In 1851 Harriet was living at 2 Harbour Street, Broadstairs, Kent^G, and was recorded in the census as Harriet Sackett, a scholar, aged nine and born in Broadstairs, daughter of Francis Sackett.⁴
     In 1861 she was living at Albion Street, Broadstairs, Kent^G, in the household of her parents Francis and Hannah, and was recorded as Harriet Sackett, a schoolmistress, unmarried, aged 19 and born in St Peter's.⁵
     In 1891 she was living at 2 Farley Cottages, St Peter's, Kent^G, in the household of her niece Emma (Sackett) Woodward and Emma's husband Frederick Woodward, and was recorded as Harriet H Jennings, aged 49 and born in St Peter's. She was living with her husband Thomas, 37, a butler. His description as "visitor" suggests that he and his wife were visiting rather than living with Emma and her family.⁶

Henry Sackett, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1844^1,2 and died there aged 78 in 1923.³

     In 1891 he was living at 2 Ellington, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, a painter, head of household, single, aged 45 and born in Broadstairs.⁷
     In 1921 he was living at the Isle of Thanet Union Poor Law Institution, Hill House, Minster, Kent^G, and was recorded as Henry Sackett, an inmate, aged 77, single, an unemployed house painter.⁸

Gilbert Sackett, coachman, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1846.¹ He died aged 46 in Broadstairs, Kent^G,² and was buried at St Peter in Thanet^G on 17 November 1892.⁴ He married in Thanet^G in 1880, Harriet Elizabeth Church, daughter of ___ Church and ___ Pitcher.³ Harriet was born in Staple, Kent^G, in 1855^5,6 and died aged 38 in Eastry, Kent^G, in 1893.⁷
     In 1861 Gilbert was living at Albion Street, Broadstairs, Kent^G, in the household of his parents Francis and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Gilbert Sackett, an agricultural labourer, aged 14, and born in St Peter's.⁸
     In 1871 he was living at Albion Street, Broadstairs, Kent^G, and was recorded as Gilbert Sackett, a fly driver, unmarried, aged 24 and born in Broadstairs, son of Francis Sackett.⁹
     In 1891 he was living at 4 Staines, St Peter's, Broadstairs, Kent^G, and was recorded as Gilbert Scakett [sic], coachman, head of household, married, aged 44 and born in Broadstairs. Living with him was his wife Harriett, 34. Also in the household was George Bright, a nurse child.¹⁰

Fanny Hannah Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 26 October 1834.¹ She died aged nine years^2,3 and was buried at St Peter in Thanet^G on 16 February 1844.²
     In 1841 Fanny was living at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her parents Edward and Fanny, and was recorded in the census as Fanny Sackett, aged six and born in Kent.⁴

Harriet Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 31 July 1836.¹ She died in infancy² and was buried at St Peter in Thanet^G on 27 September 1836.²

George William Sackett, son of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 3 April 1838^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 6 May 1838.² He married at St Mary, Portsea, Hampshire^G, on 2 February 1868, Elizabeth Mary Cobb.^3,4
     In 1841 George was living at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Fanny, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, aged three and born in Kent.⁵
     In 1851 he was living at 50 Church Street, St Peter's, Kent^G, in the household of his parents Edward and Fanny, and was recorded as George W Sackett, aged 12 and born in St Peter's.⁶
     George enlisted for ten years in the Royal Navy, serving from 21 August 1856 on HMS Raleigh.⁷
     In 1861 George was serving as a seaman aboard HMS Racoon. He was single, aged 23.⁸

Harriet Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was born in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1841.¹ She married at St Peter in Thanet^G on 23 September 1865, John Woodward, a gardener, son of John Woodward.^2,3 John (the younger) was born about 1841.⁴

Elizabeth Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1844^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 14 July 1844.² She died aged about 71 in 1915.³ She married at St Peter in Thanet^G on 2 September 1871, James Robert Pettman, a carpenter, son of Isaac Pettman.^4,5 James was born about 1847.⁶

Henry "Harry" Sackett, bricklayer, son of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1846^1,2 and baptized (as Harry Sackett) at St Peter in Thanet^G on 14 February 1847.² He died aged 85 in Maidstone, Kent^G, in 1932.³ He married at St Peter in Thanet^G on 8 October 1870, Mary Shill, daughter of John Shill.^4,5 Mary was born in St Peter in Thanet^G about 1848.⁶ She died there aged 57^7,8 and was buried at St Peter in Thanet^G on 5 August 1905.⁷

     In 1921 he was living at 55 Peel Street, Maidstone^G, in the household of Charlotte Pantony, and was recorded as Harry Sackett, old age pensioner, a boarder, aged 74.¹⁵

Fanny Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Fanny Goodburn, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1849^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 8 December 1849.² She married in Lewisham, Kent^G, in 1873, Samuel Hopkins.^3,4

Emily Jane Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Jane Bax, was born in St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1854^1,2 and baptized at St Peter in Thanet^G on 12 March 1854.² She married at St Peter in Thanet^G on 30 April 1874, George Yeomanson, a grocer, son of George Yeomanson.^3,4 George (the younger) was born about 1854.⁵
     In 1861 Emily was living at 7 Brick Lane, St Lawrence in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her parents Edward and Jane, and was recorded in the census as Emily J Sackett, a scholar, aged seven, and born in St Peter's.⁶
