William Francis Sackett, labourer, painter, and greengrocer of Broadstairs, Kent, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in St Lawrence in ThanetG in 1831 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 4 December 1831.1 He died in ThanetG in 1898.2 He married at St John in Thanet, KentG, on 9 November 1856, Elizabeth Ann Foord, daughter of William Foord.3,4 Elizabeth was born in Eastry, KentG, about 1832.5 She died aged 76 in the Draper's Almshouses, MargateG, in 19056,7 and was buried at St Peter in ThanetG on 18 January 1905.7
     In 1841 William was living at Hereson Road, St Lawrence in ThanetG, in the household of his parents Francis and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as William Sackett, aged nine and born in Kent.8
     In 1851 he was living at 2 Harbour Street, Broadstairs, KentG, and was recorded as William Sackett, a labourer, aged 19 and born in St Peter's, son of Francis Sackett.9
     In 1861 he was living at 4 Grays Cottages, Ramsgate, KentG, and was recorded as Wm F Sackett, a labourer, head of household, married, aged 29, and born in St Lawrence. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, aged 28, a bonnet maker, born in Eastry, and their children, Harriett (4), William (2), and Stephen (10 months). Also in the household was a lodger, William Foord.10
     In 1871 he was living at 1 Thanet Road, BroadstairsG, and was recorded as Wm Francis Sackett, a painter, head of household, married, aged 39, and born in Broadstairs. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth Ann, a dressmaker, aged 38, and born in Eastry, and their children, Harriet Ann (14), William G (11), Francis (7), Annie Charlotte (5), and Frederick C (10 months.)11
     A record for William in the 1881 census has not been found.
     In 1891 he was living at Thanet Cottages, St Peter's, KentG, and was recorded as William F Sackett, a painter, head of household, married, aged 59 and born in St Lawrence. He was also recorded as being paralysed. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, aged 57, and born in Eastry, their children, Frederick, 21, Ernest, 19, and Gilbert, 16, and William's unmarried brother Thomas, aged 57.12
     In 1901 William's widow was living at 2 Farley Cottages, St Peter's, Broadstairs, KentG, in the household of her daughter Emma and son-in-law Frederick Woodward, and was recorded in the census as Elizth A Sackett, a widow, aged 69 and born in Eastry.13

Thomas Edward Sackett, agricultural labourer and gardener, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in Bromstone, St Peter in Thanet, KentG, in 18321,2 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 30 December 1832.1 He died aged 63 in Bridge, KentG,3 and was buried at St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 3 May 1896.4 He was unmarried.
     In 1841 Thomas was living at Hereson Road, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, in the household of his parents Francis and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Thomas Sackett, aged eight and born in Kent.5
     In 1851 he was living at Newlands, St Peter's, KentG, in the household of his uncle, Thomas Sackett, a farmer, and his wife Harriet, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, aged 18 and born in St Peter's.6
     In 1861 he was living at Callis Court Farm, St Peter's, KentG, in the household of his uncle and aunt, Thomas and Harriet Sackett, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, a farm cart driver, unmarried, aged 28, and born in St Nicholas, Kent.7
     Thomas was named as a beneficiary in his uncle Thomas Sackett's will made in St Peter's, KentG, on 31 October 1868.8
     In 1871 he was living at Albion Street, Broadstairs, KentG, and was recorded as Thomas Sackett, an agricultural labourer, unmarried, aged 38 and born in St Peter's, son of Francis Sackett.9
     Thomas was appointed joint executor, with his mother, of his father's will, proved at BroadstairsG on 1 July 1878.10
     In 1891 he was living at Thanet Cottages, St Peter's, KentG, in the household of his brother William and sister-in-law Elizabeth, and was recorded as Thomas Edward Sackett, a gardener, unmarried, aged 57, and born in Bromstone, Kent.11

George Holt Sackett, butcher of Ramsgate, Kent, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, in 18351 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 28 June 1835.1 He died aged 89 in Dover, KentG, in 1924.2 He married in ThanetG in 1893, Maude Elizabeth Kelk, daughter of Elizabeth Kelk.3,4 Maude was born in Blean, KentG, in 18675 and baptized at Canterbury, KentG, on 29 June 1869.6
     In 1841 George was living at Hereson Road, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, in the household of his parents Francis and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, aged six and born in Kent.7
     In 1851 he was living at 2 Harbour Street, Broadstairs, KentG, and was recorded as George H Sackett, a shopman, aged 15 and born in St Peter's, son of Francis Sackett.8

Francis "Frank" Sackett, plumber and painter, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in Bromston, St Peter in Thanet, KentG, in 18371 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 29 January 1837.2 He died aged 65 in ThanetG in 1902.3 He married at St Lawrence in ThanetG on 3 April 1859, Jane Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Thomas Miller.4,5 Jane died aged 57 in ThanetG in 1895.6

     Francis left a will which was proved on 7 April 1902 by his sons James and Alfred. His estate was valued at £289.

Stephen Sackett, son of Francis Sackett and Hannah Jarman, was born in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, on 11 July 18391,2 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 4 August 1839.2 He died aged 31 in Broadstairs, KentG,3 and was buried at St Peter in ThanetG on 28 January 1871.6 He married at St Peter in ThanetG on 25 May 1867, Charlotte Grix, daughter of Benjamin Grix.4,5 Charlotte was born about 1840.7 After Stephen's death, Charlotte married James Strong in ThanetG in 1878.8
     In 1841 Stephen was living at Hereson Road, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, in the household of his parents Francis and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Stephen Sackett, aged two and born in Kent.9
     In 1851 he was living at 2 Harbour Street, BroadstairsG, and was recorded as Stephen Sackett, a scholar, aged 11 and born in St Peter's, son of Francis Sackett.10

Living with them were Charlotte's children by her first marriage, Charlotte Sackett, 13, and Walter Sackett, 11, and Charlotte and James's son James, aged one.13
     In 1891 she was living at 25 York Street, St Peter's, BroadstairsG, in the household of her husband James Strong, 67, a porter, and was recorded as Charlotte Strong, a lodging house keeper, aged 46 and born in Marsham. They were living at the same address as Charlotte's son Walter.14

Emily Jane Sackett, daughter of Edward Brewer Sackett and Jane Bax, was born in St Peter in Thanet, KentG, in 18541,2 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 12 March 1854.2 She married at St Peter in ThanetG on 30 April 1874, George Yeomanson, a grocer, son of George Yeomanson.3,4 George (the younger) was born about 1854.5
     In 1861 Emily was living at 7 Brick Lane, St Lawrence in Thanet, KentG, in the household of her parents Edward and Jane, and was recorded in the census as Emily J Sackett, a scholar, aged seven, and born in St Peter's.6
     In 1881 Emily was living at 2 Good Intent Cottage, St John's, Margate, KentG, and was recorded in the census as Emily J Yeomanson, aged 27 and born in St Peter's, wife of George Yeomanson, a house painter. Living with them were their children, George aged 6, Alice 4, and Frank 6 months.7
