Alvie Lawrence Sackett, son of Paul Lawrence Sackett and Katherine Cora Badders, was born in Hillsdale, Hillsdale County, MichiganG, on 11 May 1953.1,2,3 He died there aged 70 on 10 March 2024 and was buried at Sunset View Cemetery, Jonesville, Hillsdale CountyG.1 Alvie married three times, the first about 1971. He married third on 10 September 2022, Linda McKay.1 She died on 8 October 2023.4

Alvie Sackett Obituary
Alvie L. Sackett, age 70, passed away at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility on Sunday, March 10, 2024. He was born in Hillsdale to Paul and Katherine (Badders) Sackett on May 11, 1953. He married Linda McKay on September 10, 2022, and she preceded him in death on October 8, 2023.
     Alvie graduated from Jonesville High School class of 1971, and went on to work at Essex Wire for many years before retiring from Tenneco. He was a member of the House of Refuge Church in Hillsdale, and spent numerous years as a volunteer firefighter at the Jonesville Fire Department. In his free time, he enjoyed any activity outdoors such as hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved bowling, square dancing, and going for tractor caravans with friends.
Survivors include four children, Anna (Eric) Dodson of McMinnville, Tennessee, Mary (Bryan) Covey of Jonesville, Robert (Shannon) Sackett of Jonesville, and Alex (Michele) Sackett of Hillsdale; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Stacie, Kalie, Jesse, Katie (Luke), Ashley, Kyle, Joshua, and Andrew; 2 great-grandchildren on the way; and two siblings, Terry Sackett, and Kayleene Lowder.
     He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Linda McKay.
     Funeral services for Alvie Sackett will be Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville with Eric Dodson officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private interment will take place at a later date at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville.
     Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jonesville Fire Department.

     In 1841 Mary was living in Brompton RegisG and was recorded in the census as Mary Sutton, aged 25+ and born in Somerset. She was living with her husband James, 30+, and their children, Mary, 2, and James, aged five months.4
     In 1851 she was living in KingsbromptonG and was recorded as Mary Sutton, aged 37 and born in Kingsbrompton. She was living with her husband James, 42, and their seven children.5
     In 1861 she was living in KingsbromptonG in the household of her husband James, 54, a farmer, and was recorded as Mary Sutton, aged 47. Living with them were their eight children, including Edward aged seven.6
